I expected more breeds and options within the app for deciding what breeds to purchase and raise breed I want to compare breeds and check compatibility of housing different breeds together This app is drastically minimal in the breeds that are described and there is minimal ability to do anything with breeds selected The eggspert portion of the app is basically useless as it s terribly minimal in it s flexibility to compare breeds for more than one trait selected and give breed options that may suit your interest There is no mention of skill needed to keep any of the breed that are in the app Not an app that is worth spending 3 on         Disappointing RebekahT

I bought this app when I was first getting into chicken keeping and I made most of my initial choices based on the breed information provided A couple of years into chicken keeping and I ve found significant errors and misinformation One is error Maran when the correct name is Marans whether singular or plural Misinformation exists such as statements that certain breeds are not good foragers or don t free range As an experienced chicken owner all of our multiple breeds both free range over our property and forage every single edible item they find In addition there is other misinformation regarding egg production egg size and temperament We have Barred Plymouth Rock Rhode Island Red Production Red Delaware Australorp Ameraucana Sussex Barnevelder Orpington and Wyandotte My advice is to research everything you can get your hands on talk to other chicken people and don t make your decisions based on this app The app seems to have been written by one person with limited experience Mother Earth News is usually dead on but missed the mark this time     This App Needs More Work polyxenes
