This app is for the most part a great way to quickly pick chords notes when you dont have access to full size keyboard You can figure the song that you have in your head out quickly I still cannot understand how people buy apps without learning about what it can cannot do then they blame the app and its creator This app works great 100 CapeCodMediaKing Approved                 Great Music Training Tool

No longer will inspiration go unanswered This is by far the best purchase I have made in a long time The app looked very impressive in the demo video but nothing can compare to actually having it in your hands The design is flawless intuitive and very simple Capible of laying out an entire musical idea I stumbled upon this app while searching for the best composing app I believe this is it Laying out chords and developing complex mellodies is a snap Now I am able to record what I hear in my head no matter where I am Quick and easy                 Priceless

As far as iOS piano apps this app is hands down the best of its kind Its hard to find flaws with it I especially love the piano roll type tool However in the record function I would very much like to see the options between quantize and what you hear to first be clear options and secondly offer a clear difference in record types But for brainstorming its fantastic but with a bit more precision in the record function I might be able to use certain parts in final mixes                 Best piano brainstorming app Ive found

Its a truly great app Im not taking away from that fact But its silly to try and press notechord buttons in time on a touch screen despite the record option A full song length sequencer would make this app rule Available on some apps but not this one Great app otherwise              Almost perfect

Im not a good piano player but have always wanted to have some piano sounds in the songs I write This app has provided just that Ive really embraced recording my original songs on my iPod touch and iPad and PianoStudio has been a great addition to my workflow Ive been able to add simple backing piano tracks to my music without having to argue with a piano player about what to play It takes a little while to get used to but the app really sounds pretty good when used as a backing track In the MultiTrack DAW recording app I can play the song Im working on in the background while I record in PianoStudio After Ive got the piano the way I want it I copy and paste into MultiTrack DAW and mix away I would like the sounds of the tail end of chordsnotes to fade a bit more gradually but overall Im very happy with PianoStudio              Intuitive and useful

Its perfect if we could actually play piano like the app called pianist     It Is almost perfect

If you are a producer looking for an app that allows you to easily create melodies and song arrangements including chords Go no further and stop buying usless apps like I did All in one this is HOT Like having Cubase key editor in my pocket at all times So simple I created a melody opened up the piano roll key editor in my sequencer And quickly drew the exact melody and was done I dont need another app                 Melody maker made easy

Review Update Bumped the rating back up the app no longer has an error Just as others were saying upon downloading the update I also get the message that Im using a cracked version demo and to purchase a full copy to continue It then gives you the options of only purchasing it from a broken link or shutting it down I bought my copy fair and square and do NOT have a jailbroken phone or any illegal downloads of apps As the others request please fix this error as soon as possible              Error with update

Just may be the best piano app in its classthe designers solved the keyboard issue when it comes to actual playing keys chords with a simple and refined interfacesure some more bells and whistles would be nice but it hard to find fault here                 Sweet

This is by far the best app to record full length songs Now I can change any part of it without any hassle I love this app so so much Its simple to create melodies and chords This app covers every area of concern and then some I never even thought about Since Im a hardcore songwriter this is the perfect storage for song snippets to full length songs Collaboration and inspiration are a cinch Awsome                 A great recovery

I like the chord button concept and the way theyre implemented is quite good too Thats what caught my attention actually Id been looking for something like this for a bit Now onto what I would like to see changed what needs fixing and so on Many of the graphics are not Retina Displayresolution Not really a problem as far as functionality goes but still The two real problems I have with this app are the samples and the available chords The samples are pretty obviously more like something off a beginner pianists keyboard As someone who has been playing for a long time this is not really satisfactory Second I enjoy my 13th and 11th chords very much thank you and this app has neither It also lacks slash chords making it very inconvenient to voice these things I need two fingers where I should only need one As an aside it would be nice to provide different ways of playing chords eg arpeggiated harp chords Playing them so plainly gets boring and is not very expressive Sogood work thus far now make it better           Good but there is room for improvement

This is very well designed and easy to use Im very impressed with it Way better than the other piano apps And the problem with the other apps that Ive seen is that the iPhone screen is too small to try to play it like a piano You cant fit a full piano on the screen And you cant get by with only sections of the keys on the screen at a time even with a scrolling feature So this app is the way to go if you really want to use your iPhone to play songs on the piano Seriously it just works better for the iPhone than the other apps PS maybe you guys should do another version of iShred with this exact same design and ease of use Call it iShred 2 or something and let the original iShred continue to be its own thing for those who like strumming the chords better than pushing buttons                 I love this app Very well designed

this software is an open sandbox with quality piano samplesynth and endless possibilities for improvisational composition This baby gives an advantage even for a skilled keyboardist because of its excellent design Playing your music on the touch screen is fun and simple You can create single or multi note buttons or put in polyphonic sequences From there the possibilities are limitless All in all this software is wonderful for any composer who values process over product The above is my initial review from late 2009 As much as it pains me to do so I am deducting a star To explain Ive worked on several compositions with this app and over a year later there is not even any competition that works on the level it does with the customized playing field This app is the definitive leader for iOS piano The best feature of the app is the sustain envelope The piano in nano studio has no such versatility and sounds poor in low and high range The reason I am giving 4 stars Its flaw is in the nearly nonexistent sequencing capabilities Song creation for me has always been a process of recording via line out to the pc You cant even get sustain envelope on the notes you place in the playable pattern button mode Ive sent in feedback on their forum so Im hopeful about an update and in addition perhaps a pro version or paid upgrade I will describe next At this point I feel like the app could and should offer song composition via piano roll editing even if it was a paid upgrade Id pay 20 for that because this app is so excellent cannot be beat The pattern feature feels so incomplete after having had the chance to need it in my compositions and having to skip it because it cannot offer sequencing of the same thing one can perform on the playing interface              b r i l l i a n t for improvising and building song ideas

There is a bug when you bring it out of suspended mode Sometimes it wont produce any tons You have to close the app with the close x in the app browser then relaunch A minor bother But it would be nice it that gets fixed It seems to do it after another audio app is used but not always Possibly after an incoming call rings in while the app is suspended Update Still cool but aging Sharing seems to have died on World play Samples are horrible In sore need of updating and freshening           Enjoy this a ton but

I just got this and it is clear after hours of work setting up songs that it is an extraordinary musical tool for live performing even just in your living room with friends The key is setting up their songs not for one song but for general use 46 chords 46 bass notes and 810 individual notes is enough to play most poprockfolketc songs in a given key The one thing it is missing at least I havent found it after careful looking is the ability to transpose all that work with a single button into another key If you set up a song in the key of C but everyone wants it played in F it would take a lot of work to change You should be able to hit one global button and make the change This seems like a quality company I hope they make that one change to make this program perfect                 Practically Perfect

I like this app There are many piano apps Each 1 with there own strengths weaknesses This 1 is well made intuitive                 Fun app

I used to bring my keyboard to my office to help when I arranged music With this app I can work on arrangements anywhere Now I dont have to move my keyboard from place to place I have one in my pocket                 Great for arranging

The app is intuitive I caught on to it immediately but there appears to be a major flaw While attempting to play along with a song in E flat from the iPod in my iPhone using the Editor chords they are out of tune by two halfsteps down The piano by itself is correct but NOT THE CHORDS Please fix this           Excellant app but Editor out of tune

Ive been waiting on the perfect piano app for awhile Wellhere it is                 Awesome

I wish I had seen the demo first The idea is one painstakingly assigns sounds chords or phrases to buttons You can then press them individually or in combination in real time to generate a song Except for this last feature bascally similar to a lot of software nowadays for creating music on a computer Totally unlike playing a piano though              Recording not playing

There is no reason why one should be forced to register at a site just to be able to back up and transfer their files I find it distasteful to be forced to do so I cant conceive why this should be required except for the devs to get a users email address for one reason or another Its distasteful and invasive Registering should be an OPTION and NOT a requirement It is also difficult to figure out how to forgo the site backups and do your own wifi backups directly to your pc By default you must use their server I am not at all comfortable sending my songs to a site when they can be viewed by the site owners I dont know if my compositions are safe Please make it simpler to use wifi as default backup option I have yet to figure out how to email songs or upload them to my own computer That is extremely important to me hence the lower rating It feels invasive to me to be forced to sign up with them simply to transfer and backup my songs Distasteful really It is obvious that the devs are overly zealous with trying to catch pirates after seeing the last bug that was introduced previously Dont make us pay for your need to rake in every buck that you can I have owned this app for a looong time but I just felt frustrated enough when using it after it lay dormant on my iTouch to express this Piracy cant be stopped anyway Not even the big companies can stop it Just continue working on this product and appreciating the people who have contributed by purchasing it from you You wont stop the sharing and youll be wasting a lot of time and energy messing with trying to deter a few pirates Time you could be spending on adding the features that your paying customers have been asking for and better Pianostudio     Registration Required Simply to Backup Songs

Piano studio is a great app Ive enjoyed the features the supplied chord progressionbut to put this over the top as a one and only design a music detection from your favorite mp3s in the I tunes libraryThat would allow all nonmusicians to learn there favorite songsby simply displaying the chord progressions pianoSo lets go team il be waiting for an update keep up the good work              Chord detection

Awesome app Lets you totally customize your chord voicings Layout is absolutely brilliant Ive never been this excited about an iPhone music app Or probably any app for that matter Perfect for the discriminating musician who knows what heshe wants to hear and needs an app that will allow them the freedom to create and save song ideas new chord voicings etc The record feature is great even including a click track for you This is THE music app I was looking for                 Awesome
