I bought this app to help me when Im in the field shooting Not unusual for me to have many many photos in a single day I bought primarily for the metadata features to batch label photos place tags rate the images 15 stars and even geocoding location Plus I only shoot Nikon Raw images and app can render raw images This is a great timesaver be able to do in bulk in the field However when I enter the metadata and select groups of photos the app seems to kick me out of the metadata data entry screens after a short period of time Very frustrating and a significant flaw I have to then reselect photos then go back into metadata entry but I continually get kicked out would not purchase this app until that is resolved I Should be able to sit at the metadata entry as long I as need Hope the developer fixes this soon Until then for the price its only worth one star in my opinion simple because its not able to perform as I expected for my money     Has its issues and needs to be addressed before you purchase

Solid metadata editor Some a bit confusing like groups but its worth the if metadata is important to you              Well done

I have tones of photo apps I must use 8 or 12 on different photos though this is defiantly one of the better ones              Diffidently one of the better photo apps

The GUI is exceptionally clean and the app well focused on its purpose of writing metadata for images The unique feature of this app is the ability to enter IPTC Core into an XMP side car The XMP can be imported from the iPad to a computer and placed in the same folder as the original raw files from the camera Adobe Bridge joins the sidecars with the corresponding camera files You do not need to take up space on the iPad with the images nor export derivative images if you dont want to Instead you can join the xmp sidecars with your original camera files on your computer The app is well documented on the developers site and the developer responds to emails in depth I look forward to future developments Fixes that would be useful if you do export derivatives such as jpegs to the camera roll they will contain the IPTC metadata but perhaps not the technical metadata at least with Nikon files using iOS5 I am able to export xmp files via iTunes but have not been able to access the apps iTunes folder on the iPad A review of a previous version mentioned problems with entering metadata to multiple images I have not had that problem with this version                 Cleanly designed pleasure to use

Finally a serious effort for those who want to manage but not edit photos on the iPad Best features easily add tags and location data to a single photo or multiple photos export an XMP file to quickly merge this data with your computer photo collection Aperture etc Missing can export jpegs with embedded XMP but these files are compressed to half the size of the originals even when full size export is chosen workaround is to export XMP only limited set of IPTC data supported For example the caption field is not included              Great start

I initially denied access and it errors every time since then Thus not usable     Error unrecoverable

If you work with photos much this app is an excellent tool to let you know about size and resolution Very well designed                 Excellant

I made sure to check file sizes and dimensions after I edited a photos metadata in this app and I am glad that I did I started off with a piece of artwork that had a file size of 11mb After editing data and exporting from this app I ended up with a file that was 56kb in size and the photo dimensions were considerably shrunken down Why the developer of this app would do that to a users exported photo and not just preserve the original photo quality Well it is just beyond me and it makes this application a 5 waste in my opinion and renders it useless to me I just could not believe that my photo took such a drastic hit in quality and size after export I started off with a friggin 12mp 4096x3072 sized image and was left with something just terrible If you are at all serious about editing metadata and also preserving the original quality of your work well I would advise you to learn from my mistake and pass this application up Unless you enjoy frustration and wasting 5 that is I guess I will go back to using something like Photogene or another EXIF editor thpugh Photogene likes to put a stupid watermark in the IPTC data that you cannot see when editing and exporting photos from there     Kills Photo Quality

This app works quite well and the design is elegant In a way the workflow is similar to the Lightroom Once youve edited the metadata of a photo from the iOS photo library your edits remained with the that photo even after you have closed and reopened the app Of course this is true only within this app In reality the true original photo in the iOS photo library can never be modified by any app This is both good and bad The good is obvious The bad is there is no way to go back to the original metadata easily It would be nice if there is a way to reload the original Another problem is the Components Configuration tag got its value altered from the camera set YCbCr into Y in the exported JPEG photo UPDATE The Developer informed me that this is outside of his control happens when exporting back to the camera roll Yet another iOS issue Overall this is a very nicely designed app Please keep the improvements coming                 Very thoughtful design

UPDATEIn I addition to what I said below when I finally pushed through all the bugs the XMP sidecar files are just ignored by Aperture which was the whole point And since this process cluttered up my photo stream with duplicates I wish I had never even tried to use it The app still has regressing issues where it redraws the photo list and simultaneously closes any menus or photos This interrupts your work and often does not save the work you had done on that menu so far Its very frustrating and slows the work Look to the developer web site for instructions The app itself is often unclear and makes features hard to discern No built in help The app also needs a batch editing function Its the best app Ive seen for quick triage of raw photos on your iPad but its pretty shaky        Warning may not work with Aperture

This app would be killer for updating metadata in the field but there appears to be a massive bug that I cant seem to get past If you look at the review from 2013 it looks like the bug has existed a while and still hasnt been addressed When you are editing metadata it just seems to randomly drop you back to the album view and any metadata you were in the middle of entering is lost For an app whose primary purpose is to update the metadata you would think that in a years time it would have been fixed Adobe introduced Lightroom mobile They still do not have the workflow correct and you cant edit metadata other than ratings in LR Mobile This app is the best you have if you are a Lightroom user Hopefully the developer is still working on this app and hasnt given up because it is a good field tool when you are traveling light        Good idea but buggy

This will quickly become my go to app for viewing images and their EXIF data A great update                 A fabulous update

A great well thought out app but it crashes way too much It especially seems to crash when you try to make any changes to previously written data           Almost Great

Meets almost every need in a very nice looking and simple interface Best Ive found Batch updates would be nice and the ability to view the original embedded thumbnail picture would be great in future releases                 Great utility for managing the meta data in photos

Ive been waiting for another photo app Photosmith to become useful and Im really tired of waiting This app is a quarter of the price and so much more functional Just being able to save the sidecar right to your dropbox is worth the price The only thing missing is being able to preview and import images right from the dropbox To make it perfect being able to make metadata changes and update the side car to dropbox without any downloads would be the ticket Maybe even adding some of the other cloud servers like Copy or Skydrive could make this app even more useful Thanks for this app and keep up the great work                 Almost Perfect
