Panamp - The Music Player

This app is great for quickly finding songs and creating dynamic playlists The only thing I wish it had was the ability to display album artists instead of just artists              Functionality over style I like it

If your someone who likes to build playlist on the go and as fast as possible then this app is awesome Only thing I would like is something like a car mode that looks like the native music player with swipe abilities Nice app though              Good Alternative

I had purchased this app because I didnt like how the native music app shuffled songs it plays the same set of songs and never plays the rest and had hoped this would be better since I listen to a lot of music in my car Unfortunately I still have the same issue on this app too In addition to that when the screen is locked you cannot see the name of the song album art or artist just the name of the app It definitely feels like my money would have been better spent on a different app and Ill likely go back to using the native app        Disappointing

Love the dynamic playlist and the simple design I spent too much money and time trying to find exactly what this offers Thank you                 Great App

I really love this app and I hope it gets redesigned for iOS 7 But the latest app update got rid of the status bar and left only a black rectangle in its place which looks weird to say the least I realize this is an intentional feature since the changelog mentioned it but why on earth would you get rid of the status bar              Very nice but why no status bar

I would live to give this a 5 but the random syncing to iTunes and the loss of the status bar has dropped this to a 4 Please fix these thingssoon              Wanna be 5

Since I almost never put much music on my phone I want the newest stuff I dload to be there I like therefore the reorganization playlist making feature but one addition Id love to see would be able to sort by most recently added              Much faster than iPod for iPhone

This player fills the one gap left by the default music player queues I can finally add to my now playing list on the fly rather than overriding whatever I currently have playing This is great for car trips where opportunities to add to the playlist dont ever coincide with the time the current album ends I can update the list with whatever I currently feel like listening to rather than having to assemble playlists ahead of time The downside is that with the minimalist design some of the controls are rather cryptic After watching the demo accessible by shaking the device I found you can skip to the next track or previous track by swiping the current track listing at the bottom of the screen I can reorder tracks in the list by touching and dragging the right side of the track in the now playing queue Most other controls are listed in the app description or obviously as buttons in the app Also the fact that album art isnt front and center as it is in the default music player keeps me from being annoyed that most of my music collection has no album art I dont have to fight the urge to spend hours that I dont have searching for and updating album art                 Exactly What I Need

I took away a star because it doesnt have Bluetooth controls Need a way to switch between devices like you can do via Pandora Sounds great and is well organized Good control over an iTunes library Sincerely Homey Claus              Nice app

I heard of this app from various people who raved about how good it was and decided to check it out In theory its an awesome app however it fails to do some very basic things that made this app very annoying to use on the whole Most annoyingly for me if you try to shuffle anything other than the queue say an artist or a specific playlist the it will shuffle outside the playlist meaning that unless you are using the queue you essentially are forced to listen to your entire library Another fairly fundamental thing they got wrong was alphabetizing your song lists Sometimes it will filter out the the sometimes it wont It will put songs in random places and looking for artists or albums turns into quite a chore Finally and probably the most minor issue is that unlike other 3rd party players such as downcast or pandora this app does not show what is playing or the album cover on the lock screen All it says is pan amp meaning you must unlock your phone merely to find out whats playing All in all this app has a great concept but does some very rudimentary and foundational things pretty badly leading me to end up deleting it off my phone        Meh

Gets rid of Accessory Connected lock message default music app Doesnt mark podcasts as played nor does it show all podcasts in library Just shows one from each artist 2012 Dodge Charger via USB cable 43 stock stereo              Good overall

I like the app overall but crashing is not good           Crashes on album view

I had recently upgraded the iOS system on my IPod Touch to iOS 6 To my disappointment music player wasnt as stable You would hear noise sort of like a record player in the background I wasnt happy with that at all Until I downloaded Panamp and my problem was solved This music player is certainly better and more stable than what Apple is putting out in iOS 5 6 Sorry unknown about iOS 7                 Excellent

I want my money back I cant even open this app It crashes within seconds of opening     Crashes

Now that Apple has wrecked its music player in iOS 7 Panamp would be the perfect replacement Its interface is similar to the built in music players in previous iOS versions Unfortunately the app seems unable to play older AAC tracks with DRM           Would be fabulous

If you have a huge iTunes music library with a lot of Artists where there are many albums for that artist this app makes it easier to scroll through the albums in alphabetical order I HATE now the new version of the native iTunes players forces you to see all the tracks under each album you cant collapse them I just wish the folks that wrote this app would continue to improve it gapless playback artistalbum thumbnails Hopefully there are reading this                 Easier for Navigating Albums

An otherwise solid music player which seems to love popping up a stupid blue modal when shaken or left alone for a while Even worse the x to close the modal frequently requires multiple taps before working        Good but stupid screen pops up

On AppStore Updates Music just stops No AirPlay possible Music continues playing even after plugging the headphones out        Bugs

Needed a simple music player to replace iPhones default music player which freezes anytime I try to go into another app while a song is playing No issues with Panamp playing in the background while I use other apps                 Perfect

Its got bugs an iOS 6 era UI that was never great in the first place and the developers dont seem to know that an iPhone 6 On my way its because this only works on the iPhone 5     This app hasnt been updated in forever

Love the concept Id call it a 5star app docked two stars for a few missing basics Most notably for me shuffle Since I use this so heavily its absence is a dealbreaker for me Would also love to see multiple onthefly playlists or even better saveasitunesplaylist Or at least saveasnamedplaylist           LOVE the concept a 5star appinthemaking

I love iTunes but its a mess when it comes to listening to what I feel like listening to at the moment Panamp allows me to set up a playlist on the fly even changing the play order The best buck Ive spent since that night in San Diego when my friends and I Well thats another story 5 stars                 My New mp3 Player

I want my 3 back However this is a really good start If priced at a dollar or less this very young software would be a lot more reasonable however the lack of ANY landscape mode and the shortcomings others have mentioned left me feeling cheated It does some things marvelously well and theres true potential but its not ready for the price theyre charging Sorry guys        Disappointed

Got tired real fast with Apples latest music player and needed something better This fits the bill              Solid userfriendly music player

Panamp does what Apples OLD music App used to do Latest iOS7 update made Apples music app unable to list albums alphabetically under Artist section This drove me nuts I found Panamp and have been very happy with its usability I would like a way to see the album artwork larger though                 Replaced iOS7 Music App

If you are looking for a simple and easy way to create an on the fly temporary playlist Panamp lets you do that which is great Like other reviews there are a number of things that this player needs to do to out perform the native music player in iOS My biggest complaint lies with the Album and Artists sections When the alphabetical jump to letter shows up on the right hand side of the screen it doesnt work For some reason it gets stuck on certain letters It also appears to mess up the alphabetical order of certain artists in general a real deal breaker I love the queue feature but there are many annoyances to recommend this app to others Hope they fix the current issues before adding new features              Some great ideas but work needs to be done

I use this player at professional events It seems that now ios7 has hit Panamp has become quite unstable It decides to sync with iTunes at random It cuts the music and crashes It must be reset to resume playback Very unsettling to me please fix this           Great player but crashed with ios7

Wow this crashes so much At first it seemed that letting the app populate the cover art for all of the music would solve the issue This is not the case Constant crashes make this unusable Hope to see an update           Crashing

This is a very nice app It would be my favorite music player BUT it does not play nice with iTunes Match It has no icon to denote if a song is stored locally or in the cloud and god help you if you choose a song that is in the cloud instead of on your device           Could be great

This player inserts short gaps between tracks rendering it worthless for much music Classical music and progressive rock tracks are often designed with no gap between the tracks and this player ruins that Two dollars down the drain     No gapless playback

This app is not worth buying it wont shuffle and sometimes wont even play If youre looking for an iTunes replacement keep looking     Keep looking

This app does not allow you to bypass syncing through iTunes Therefore you cannot use it as a true alternative     Misleading

The lack of iTunes Match support makes the app essentially useless in my case It may not be possible to support it but I think its something that should be mentioned in the apps description        No iTunes Match support

After updating this version my device on iOS 511 cannot open this app at all Kindly fix this bug U promise this is compatible with iOS 51 prove it Dont let us down Really love this app Please fix it Tq     Crash cannot open at all

This app is exactly what I wanted to replace the stock app I dont have to shuffle through multiple screens to get to my song from the artist list which was the main selling point for me I like the quick playlist maker which I use just before I go for a runits the fastest playlist maker Ive found My only request is that we be able to see the albums and song title on the lock screen I have other apps that can do it so why doesnt panamp Still a 5 star app completely worth 2 bucks                 Awesome

Hey folks This is a very long awaited app Unfortunately a big use of the Music app for me is to post to Path When I use the default Music app Path is able to tell what song is playing and match it with an iTunes image Its very cool and I do it about 30 times a day just because my music is better than everybody elses ha ha So this app does not post to Path smoothly like that Path has no idea what song is playing when I use this app If you could fix it I will give you another star but take your time as I know your plate is almost definitely full and this is my own iconoclastic edge case Thank you           Needs to autopost to Path like Music

While the app has many nice features it also includes a fair amount of bugs one of the most irritating being that when you remove your headphones the music continues playing through your iDevices speakers Furthermore the inability to save in app playlist marks this app down significantly Although I had emailed about these and many more faults in their app their reply was that they were working on it and would release an update soon Unfortunately their last update is only iOS 61 compatible which left me out of their update cycle so I will never know if this problems have been fixed In my opinion its not worth the buy     Not worth the buy

I bought it thinking it would be easier to make my playlists but it seems to only let you make one and not be able to save it and name it and the demo doesnt work Im getting really tired of Apple not having a return policy and forced to spend on Apps that I dont know if they work for me or not On the good side I do enjoy the way slide options and how fast my music starts           Disappointed

Excellent lets you create playlist on the go would give 5 stars if I could delete songs also              Jack c
