Purchased 95 unit about5 years ago after rave reviews in the last 3 years this unit has sat next to my vcr and has gotten as much use I had constant freezing and buggy remote issues no firmware help either Figured this app would with remote issues nope it s the crappy unit You don t need the app because you shouldn t buy an Oppo Save your and get a cheaper model with good reviews lesson learned     Don t waste your time Nakite1

The old remote worked great I could sit in bed and look through my computer network so I could stream stuff Now the network search just freezes up the whole player I wish apple or oppo would allow me to downgrade to the old app which worked great I updated the firmware on the player as well     Bugs with network search Davev205

I have all of my AV equipment in a closet in a separate room so the I can t use the standard Oppo remote since it s not RF All of my equipment is connected through a network and this app has worked flawlessly so far It s just like using the remote that came with my BDP 105 Well done Oppo as usual                     Does What it s Supposed to do Tscan11

I wish people would learn that when they update the device or app if you just delete the app and reinstall most problems go away just like mine did But that said the app works fine but the media app is much better with more features The media app is newer as I only got it because the media app was iPad only at the time Now I ve deleted and installed the media app on all of my iOS devices                 Media App is better vexatrex

I agree with the previous reviewer in asking why a a company that built a 1000 plus plays anything with decoders on steroids multimedia player created an app that can t turn the unit on The only benefit to the app is that it s wifi so if your listening to a zone in your home away from IR LOS you can change the music a bit I d also add that the UI is nearly incomprehensible It s saving grace is that it can also replicate the actual remote That part they got right So if you just like to play with apps on your IOS product and don t mind the fact that your body is part of the app s functionality go for it                     Why Conestogakid

For what you pay for an Oppo player you might expect they would have a good ap But no the app won t even open if it doesn t see the player on the network Even with a wired connection the app takes so long to see the player it might as well not be there I nearly always get a connection error And because it needs to see the player to work and the player lacks wake on network you cannot use the remote to turn on the player     Poorly executed with too many flaws usalegin

I only picked the BDP 103 up yesterday but I loaded this app on my iPad right away I was disappointed to find out that it apparently offers no functionality beyond what the physical remote does In my opinion at minimum an iPad based remote implementation should give you access to the virtual keyboard so you don t have to slog through the regular process of entering login credentials for things like Netflix I doubt I will use this app much until it does something worthwhile that the physical remote can t do         Just a virtual version of the real remote OhWell..

I waited patiently for some time for an official Oppo app to use with my BDP 83 Thanks for nothing The Samsung Smart View app I use for my TV works with my Oppo through HDMI CEC and can even power up the player I guess It will have to do     A missed oppo tunity LeftForDead
