Works fine and has links to the manufacturers websites but the info on the site is pretty basic           Useful app

It seems to be lacking a lot of guns especially shotguns and even more so the highend shotguns So far disappointed        Lacks a lot of guns especially shotguns

I will give a bit of a pass for the very limited inventory I know they will add to it over time However the lack of information on each of the guns that they have included is just poor Navigation could be a little easier to work with The search screen is a start to what could eventually be good This is no 3 app     Not what I expect from a 3 app

The app does not work When installed it had no information in it When updated it hung at 633 out of 688 guns four times I reset it and tried twice again NRAs contractors are lousy for this app I want my money back     NRA

I installed it on my iPad 3 and none of the tabs work Waste of money     Doesnt WORK

Its fun to browse through the photos The links to the manufacturers web sites are handy This app gives the impression of being an early version Some of the data is incorrect For instance the photo for the Beretta Bobcat is actually a photo of a Beretta Tomcat The magazine capacity for the Beretta 92 in 9mm is stated as 12 but for most people the magazines are 15 The data is sparse For instance for the Beretta PX4 Storm it shows only the full size model Id like to see the listing include the compact and subcompact models Id also like to see text describing the histories of these guns the design goals and motivations and so on              Fun but needs more content

Its not worth your 3 bucks A real disappointment     Dont bother

Limited and inaccurate resource Did a search for the Springfield XDM pictured on the icon and the app does not have it in the database Search is also confusing and hard to use Plus it has the Kimber Solo priced at over 1000 and its really 750 This app is a complete waste of 3 I expected more from the NRA     Disappointing

The COLT Single Action Army may be the most recognized wheel gun in history Guess what It is not even listed Therefore all my first through third generation Peacemakers just dont exist in this publication Hold the phone 032 to 038 Caliber SAA Colt is shown in a single picture reference I have collected the SAA in 45 caliber since 1944 with great success without an app I guess I will need to wait a little longer I expected more as a life member let alone a benefactor Fix this and the other listed egregious oversights and it may be worth it as a no charge App If you fix it to just resemble the claims it will be worth a lot more     Colt SAA 45 caliber Peacemaker not listed

Hopefully this app will be improved over time A good resource overall that includes links to the manufacturers websites        Needs work

Search is limited Ie try something simple like PT100     Practically Useless

After waiting 4 months after it was announced I was quite disappointed in the very limited content Not only is the database of current weapons minimal forget many older classic ones but the details are extremely basic For example most AR15s dont even mention whether they are gas or not Selecting the compare option brings up only the weapon currently being examined No detailed information that is even in the NRA magazines let alone industrywide data Virtually no ability to add notes comments or bookmarks for future reference No costs comparisons No ammo recommendations suggested load for the specific weapon Im a novice and found the level of detail way too basic Given the amount of time to come out with this app I would have expected a lot more even simply copying previous reviews and articles in the magazine would have enhanced the information Even linking to NRA data perhaps past articles or manufacturer information would have helped Sorry but this app has a long way to go        Very limited

NRA has spiffed up the app and it works great for me I installed it and then ran the update for 325 new entries and updates Opening the app and searching is easypeasey If you want a deeper drill each gun has a link to the manufacturers websitesThis is much better for me than a 20 out ofdate hardcover or paperback book                 Works fine Good info

Would like to see more information for each firearm review like Barrel Twist Barrel Material etc otherwise its an OK app           Needs more data per review

The prior version worked fine and I was really impressed by the daily gun updates weekdays This update does not work at all Seems to start and then I get the menu bar over a black screen The app is now worthless until they fix this If it is fixed again I would rate probably a 445 I have been spreading the word about this as a good addition on a couple forums but now have to alert others not to update Running the iPad version on an iPad 1 Found the fix even with no help for developer Delete the app and reinstall it Now it works fine For those seeing the black screen try this              NRA Gun Guide update

I can only hope they put the money to good use helping to protect our gun rights because the guide was a waste of time Only included 2 guns I own and they got one of them wrong Cant see it being of much use at a gun show or auction Probably doesnt have any info on what your looking to buy     Donation

This is a pretty good database of firearms It presents a lot of information in a consistent layout without having you dig through the interwebs Its got a good design for both search and browsing It has a lot of good detailed information and handles variants well The nicest feature is that the data can be updated There is a feature to check if a new database is available A couple of cons the search is based on manufacturer name so a family of guns such as AR15 or AK47 returns no results However WASR will return the Romanian WASR It is missing some foreign semiauto rifles Saiga Vepr PSL and Norinco specifically The Norinco may be because the database is limited to currently shipping guns so if youre looking for a complete history of every gun this isnt the best app The update feature allows them to correct this in the future              Easy to use lots of good info

The NRA should ashamed of itself for charging for such a useless and uninformative app     Worthless

Great App Ive been waiting for this to be released and was a bit worried when I saw the negative reviews but so far it works perfectly for me I even watched an embedded video and searched for several different firearms Please keep adding more guns especially older ones that are no longer in production                 Outstanding

Buy the annual magazine you will get more for your money        Save your money

Its okay Not the in depth resource one would expect Has only a few in production models from companies that have many Look up Glock and find 4 Was released too soon its not worth the 3 yet        Released too soon
