Named Reactions Student includes all named organic reactions covered in undergraduate chemistry courses. Not only a great study aid, Named Reactions Student is a great app for individuals preparing to take the GRE, the MCAT, ...
This app specifically states that it is good for the MCAT but it is not It only contains reactions with names eg Wittig Grignard etc There are only about 5 that are helpful for the MCAT It does not have basic undergraduate reactions for alcohols aldehydes ketones amines amides etc I have had 5 semesters of chemistry and most of these reactions I have never heard of The author of the app needs to purchase an MCAT prep book to actually see what reactions the MCAT tests and put the reactions into the app before heshe claims that it is a good study tool for the MCAT Other than that the reactions are very well done and easy to understand I am using it on an iPad and every time I turn from portrait to landscape the app crashes I wanted to be able to take a screenshot of the reaction and put it into a flashcard app but I cannot because the reactions are so limited Not good for MCAT
