MyTourMate – Audio Tour Guide Travel App for Tourists and Travellers

This is a very cool app that allows you to access all kinds of travel information for wherever you may be goingFor a variety of cities the app gives you reasturant reccomendations hotel reccomendations and ideas for places just to get a drink Most importantly this app gives a variety of tours including audio features for major cities and tourist destinations around the world and you can get the audio in a variety of languages The best part of all is that each and every one of these tours that you have access too is absolutely FREE This is a very resourceful app that I would highly recommend them                 Great Travel App

Save your dime I wanted to add places of my own to tour but it will not let you do that Have already been to some of these places listed     Tours

I was looking for a tour in Athens Not included Too bad Now I am looking for a different app     Disappointed

The Miami tour is great including the suggestions for the Cuban food                 Very cool

I am planning a holiday in Barcelona and found this to be a quite excellent and resourceful app with very helpful information A definite musthave for all those who want to know more about the bigger euro countries Highly recommended                 resourceful app

A very straight forward and useful app The content is conveniently organised with many guides on diverse interests and very detailed information on all the hot places to visit                 useful

Its a bit misleading because while the app is free if you want any tours you have to pay around 7 which was not apparent until I tried to download a tour You can see some sites on a map that dont require downloading the tour but they are limited or have no info about them But this app has potential           Not really free

Thanks to AppGratis for informing me about TourPal This app looks wonderful Who wouldnt like a private audio tour guide in various cities around the world Even if youre not visiting another place its really interesting to hear the toursThe app and tours are provided in English and a number other of languages Im excited to see Hebrew and no matter the language the audio is clearly audible and understood Some tours are meant for a specific site while others are walkingdriving tours The tours are clearly labeled with any special instructions ie if you must use a car to move between sites Each tour is also clearly plotted on a map There is a choice to stream the tours with ones internet data connection or download tours to ones device so that theres no need for Internet I really enjoy reading the tour guides bios and being able to rate their tours Theres just one big problem the app crashes a lot usually when I try to open an entire city to downloadview I managed to download one tour to my device from the featured tours menu even though most seems to crash and despite being on my device and independent of Internet the app still oddly crashes Clearly there is some kind of tech issue within the app that is not being caused by my device As a betatester of various apps I am familiar with common ways to fix crashing I have tried to force quit hardreset my device and reinstall TourPal which did not resolve the issue at all I hope you guys can fix the problem ASAP because Ill be going on vacation soon and would love to use your app Im using an iPhone 4s with iOS 712 Suggestions 1 Id love for the maps to provide directions within your app rather than using the Apple Maps app This way people can opt to predownload the directions if they wont have Internet or have the map use GPS to track when the person is leaving so that the directions just pop up automatically and lead them to the next place Maybe you could also hook up with Waze and integrate their mapsuser accounts into your system This way people can opt to use their own Waze account sign up for an account or choose to get directions without an account I use Waze all the time which has wonderful features 2 In addition to audio itd be cool if photos could be added to illustrate what were supposed to be looking at 3 Id like to see a way to download all of the tours at once 4 Please add more social networks to the share feature Twitter Google Foursquare and other popular sites Also more social features would be wonderful such as the ability to checkin compose posts etc In the tour guides bios perhaps you could provide their social network URLs andor a way to comment within the app to ask questions about the tours information 5 Itd be wonderful for users to be able to addrevise information for each tour site such as links hours of operation a phone number whether its closed for renovation whether the site is entirely partially or not accessible for people with disabilities photos of the site whether there is paidfree parking cost of admissionparking and any other usefulimportant information 6 Im not understanding how the hotelrestaurantspoints of interest feature works since it seems that Apple Maps opens when looking for directions Am I missing something 7 Can you clarify whether the entire app is free just by opening it or is it only the individual tours that we download And if we need to deletereinstall after the free period ie to make space on a device while not on vacation can we restore our free purchase Please explain this better on the App Store description and within the app itself Thanks for the freebie I will certainly tell people to purchase your app after the free period ends Even though I cannot use the app due to the crashing what I was able to use was highly impressive and useful I am certain that you will fix the crashing problem ASAP I hope that additional tours for current cities will be added as well as new cities I am awarding TourPal 4 stars to give you guys the benefit of the doubt regarding the crashing When you fix it Ill let you have that last star              Wonderful App Despite Crashing

there is only 2 tours for Rome and both are Vatican City info was not enough a PDF of Wikipedia bears more info        not much help

I love the fact that they offer maps without any cost                 Offline maps

I recently used this app for my trip to NYC My favorite part was that I could download the maps and tours including audio to the phone and not worry about having cell phone reception while wandering the city That is the most frustrating thing with these type of apps usually but not with this Simple and easy to use They seem to update it often with new cities which is nice for those that travel places often The voice guided tour is also done very well and keeps you interested Great all in one app                 Great for traveling

Just used this on my trip to Miami Beach and the audio tours and list of food locations around me helped us find a great cuban place I love finding new apps like this and this is for sure a little gem                 Perfect for vacations

Definitely a battery killer which can be awful when youre traveling However this app has tons of available tours and information I love the offline capabilities and features other than the audio Great interface as well                 Superb

Just came back from Venice Italy great place to travel and Tourpal made it very fun and easy                 Very fun and easy

I bought this while in Washington DC By the description its just what I wanted except the audio doesnt work It was too cold and there wasnt enough time to go hunting for another app TourPal really affected my tourism negatively TourPal give me back my money seriously This was a onetime deal and Ill have no use for your fix at a later date     DONT BUY IT DOESNT WORK

The audio tours simply dont work The app keeps crashing and each chapter ends while the narrator is midsentence When you click on the next chapter the narrator is in some new place and youre lost and driving Useless and dangerous Stay away from this app     Dont Buy This App
