This is helping my son understand fractions through visualization while having fun                 Great tool for learning fractions

I am second grade teacher with a daughter who is in 4th grade and a son in first They both love the game I wish the developers can make one for number sense I would use it in my classroom to help my struggling students              Great game for fraction

Id give this app six stars if I could Teaches math the way it should always be taught Its fun kinesthetic and addresses number sense I expect my daughters underlying understanding of fractions is going to make a big leap after a few hours of playing this                 Great great app

I purshased and was charged for the update to have access to all 24 levels of the game but have not been able to play them at all How should I proceed How do I unlock the levels     Update does not work

This math game is very cool fun and helps but for the price the creator of the game could create other levels                 Money

De una forma totalmente intuitiva y jugando mi hija de 8 años ya aprendió estos conceptos que vera en la escuela este año Es increíble como intuitivamente van adivinando las respuestas correctas Cada vez con mas precisión demostrando entender el concepto aunque no sepan explicar porque o como lo entendieron Siempre rebotando una burbuja conteniendo una representación numérica como fracción numero decimal porción de una torta etc sobre la línea de base con un rango se logra pasar de nivel Por ejemplo baja una globo con 14 pintado debe hacerse rebotar la pelota inclinando el dispositivo hacia los lados en la línea que marcaría 14 del ancho del iPad Si se falla una vez aparecen líneas que dividen cada 14 y finalmente otra ayuda tipo 0 bajo la primera línea a la izquierda de la base nada en la que es 14 12 bajo la del medio de la base de la pantalla etc Si se rebota 3 o 4 veces consecutivas mal se pierde Le pondría 5 estrellas si recordara el nivel en el que termino de jugar para no tener que comenzar desde cero cada vez              Excelente forma de aprender fracciones y decimales

Ive purchased numerous math apps for my son who struggles in math He loves many of the other apps but wont play this one I tried it and became annoyed fairly quickly Using a bouncing ball to determine fractions requires a certain precision that is difficult to gauge when were looking at small fractions     Waste of money

hey this is a fun game im an adult who has known fractions for years and I still feel like its exercising my brain my kid sees me playing it and wants to play too but I have to point where to go as hes still a little young only in kindergarten im sure hell have a leg up when the time comes                 Mathemagical

This app combines movement handeye coordination and practice with fractions in an almost addictive program I was able to tell what to do without instructions              Engaging and entertaining

This game was unbelievable Unbelievably GOOD I absolutely loved it and thought it was a fantastic game The visual kinesthetic and overall different forms of the fractions that the game uses was great to see in this game At first I was curious about why it was only in one form on the first few levels or so but as the game went on and increased in difficulty there were multiple levels and forms of fractions decimals and percents This was an awesome way to practice comparing and ordering rational numbers This also was an excellent way to show equivalence among fractions decimals and percents                 LOVE THIS GAME

Read an article in the NYT trusted that they had thought this through Apparently not A stupid fractions app that is so hard at work trying to make it a game that it is frustrating and a waste of time for anybody who actually understands fractions Got it for a child to help her understand fractions instead I get this stupid ball that bounces down you have to tilt to make it land in the right place and if it bounces wrong even if you were aiming for the right spot but the dexterity is off it flashes an arrow and you bounce it again This game sort of helps you figure where a fraction exists on a line or relative size of various fractions but what it really does is test your ability to tilt an ipad with absolute precision It is only possible helpful for kids who cant fathom putting their finger on the line and need a bouncing inaccurate ball to gamefy the same idea Waste of time if it were free and I actually paid money for it Ugh     What a crock

Very good math education game I would love to get more games from these developers I teach 7th grade and I think my students would love to play this game Bought it for my 4th grader                 Good math game

Not a very good way of learning your math fractions     Absolutely Terrible

This app is definitely worthwhile both in terms of your money and giving kids excellent practice in the math content The graphics are awesome and definitely keep kids engaged in the game but they dont distract from the content which is really important I could see this being a good review game for students before a test on fractions decimals and percentages The one disadvantage I see is that the game takes longer to complete than other math education apps Ive worked with and a teacher has no way of allowing a student to start at or play just a few levels of the game for extra practice on one specific skill the player has to start at the beginning each time Overall though an awesome game that keeps kids engaged and learning              Worth your money

My daughter reaches for the iPad any chance she gets and she know what she wants MotionMath She has played it over one hundred times in the past four months Yesterday she proudly proclaimed that she did all the levels and won Her 3rd grade teacher is very impressed the rest of the class is on the road to getting just as addicted to the game I am impressed at the childcentered design simple yet sticky interface and the addictiveness of the game Fractions are cool Really                 My daughter uses this app almost as much as AngryBirds

Motion Math HD is a great way for kids to learn about fractions in a fun engaging and robustly educational way The graphics and sound effects are nicely done and the inertial controls are highly intuitive And just like the best animated movies aimed at younger audiences this game is fun and surprisingly satisfyingly challenging for grownups too                 Educational and fun for grownups too

My second grader was bored after 2 minutes of play Not worth 299 for this app What games were the other reviewers practicing on so long        Not worth it

My third grader has to practice math facts for ten minutes everyday Motion Math is a fun intuitive and fastpaced way to learn fractions without the drudgery of flash cards or worksheets It is visually interesting and structured to get kids to want to get to the next level Educational app at its best Worth every penny                 Fast fraction fun

This was the first app I found from the folks at Motion Math and they have since become the ones I recommend most strongly to the parents of the fourth and fifth graders I teach As far as I know there are no other fraction apps out there that use game play to increase students understanding of fractions and their ability to estimate quickly and accurately The game has built in scaffolding to support student understanding When a child doesnt place a fraction correctly on an empty number line intervals matching the denominator appear to help If the child is still not able to place it the intervals are labeled with fractional parts In this way a child who is just beginning to work with fractions can feel successful instead of getting discouraged that he or she is getting everything wrong Although it doesnt have levels that you unlock it seems to respond to correct responses by accelerating the player into more difficult play such as placing mixed numbers on a number line and extending the number line into negatives                 Genius app
