It s not the M400 nor theM4000D or even G Force s MTron Pro But if you have other software and hardware synths and want to infuse your track with vintage flavor or put up a vintage flavored tree this cheap little vst has all the ornaments and trimmings you need basic as they are to make it sparkle Not a bad synth if all you need are the most popular Mellotron and Chamberlain tape presets I would like to add that I agree with other reviewers that it needs midi implementation so it can be controlled externally Also a plug in option and DAW integration would be nice I can use it as an external sound module fed into my DAW but that s a bit of a hassle                     Great for simple purposes JibrilAb

While I understand people s request for midi etc this is an 8 app for crying out loud I used this all over the Ghosts of Vinyl album and it sounds great Great job guys and thanks for a VERY cheap affordable way to get Mellotron sounds                     Wow plexiamp

Etreaz is right I had this app on my iPhone 5s and it worked perfect But now on my iPhone 6s the sound is awful because of some weird distortion Please fix this This is my favorite app of all time and I need it working for my next record                     Distorted sound on iPhone 6s Banditracing87

I have owned several original Mellotrons in my life including a very rare dual keyboard Mellotron Mark V After talking with people involved in the company currently the one thing we all want which is to be able to play this app from a real keyboard via MIDI will never happen because they want us to buy the two digital versions of the Mellotron Which for me isn t an option now or probably anytime in the near future due to the cost of several thousand dollars Sure I d love an M4000 D but since I paid eight bucks for an app that basically is a toy since I can t control it from Midi controller like all my other vintage apps iMini iSEM iProphet Waldorf Nave I m very disappointed i m still using one of my emu system s digital samplers and the CD ROM of Melachaw and sounds triggering it from a keyboard it would be so convenient to be able to have my Akai Synthstation controller iPad dock control this app                 Great sound but we ll never get a midi update MoogLove

This has a nice collection of sounds and is fun to play however a lack of MIDI and Audiobus keeps me from using this app on stage or for anything professional             needs MIDI djAlpad

What I have in my hand now are Mellotron sounds by pressing buttons on my phone I can record this by running an aux cable out of my headphone jack to make berserk Mellotron sample compositions Lacking the true presence and vibration of the original instrument obviously but seriously who cares when you have a 8 dollar iMellotron Just run these samples through a wonky cabinet or something to get some physicality 20 star app                     Amaze O Tron Honse_Gonse

It sounds great and it is easy to use but it has no MIDI and this makes it useless         Needs MIDI Tree on Hill

Love the quality of the sounds But for 8 it should have MIDI of some sort preferably virtual and Core Would easily be 5 stars with this addition Just a toy otherwise albeit a nice one             Needs more baseboardmatt
