Mars is a beautifully designed, lightweight Reddit client for iPhone. Two themes; light and dark Set theme to auto change based on display brightness View Front and All View all of your subscribed subreddits View ...
Elegant and simple app for reddit Deleted that weak Alien Blue crap Kudos to devs Outstanding
This app looks wonderful and has become my favorite way to browse Reddit on the go Cant wait till they start adding more options great way to start an app Great app
Waste of money This is an alpha product Beta at best Subreddit view doesnt show my subscribed subreddits cant subscribe to new subreddits and looking at the Comments view is totally jacked up with text sitting on top of each other Unreadable Looks cool other than that though Bugs and incomplete design
Ive always loved Mars conceptually but felt like it was lacking in several key areas It is by far the best designed Reddit app and fixed some of the biggest issues 1 native comments 2 ability to copy post URLs 3 inline images These improvements coupled with the previous awesomeness of the app make it really great However there are still a few major usability issues that over time make it a significantly less enjoyable experience 1 When you click on a post with a link to an external website unlike other Reddit apps Mars doesnt take you directly to that site it just shows you the title and the URL which you have to tap again 2 There is no Open in Safari option in posts 3 YouTube videos are not embedded you just see the ugly URL 4 Viewing the comments requires an annoying second tap after opening the post It should just display them under the titlecontent 5 There is no fullscreen When scrolling down the toolbars should disappear like they do in Safari 6 It is not possible to collapse a thread of comments Despite these inferiorities to Alien Blue I still believe that it is as of this update pretty good It loses on usability but kicks a in design On the off chance the developer reads thisplease consider addressing the above comments because this update shows that you are dedicated to adding great features to this app I appreciate all the hard work youve put into it It shows Great Update Not There Yet
Would be nice to have some color theme options not just the light orange Wish the comments were styled too Otherwise a solid reddit client Great Start
I really like the feel of the app its got some great ideas the only thing its lacking is It seems to load slowing when trying to fetch the second page of anything It takes forever to do so also I notice there is text overlapping Otherwise pretty good Good over all feel
Posts with 100 comments dont load and the comments I write in the app arent even posted Unusable
which is why no comment threads are shown in the screenshots This is an incomplete reddit app Uses web site to show comments
Fantastic reddit client I recommend for all Amazing App
All of my complaints were fixed in the new update Seamless app will be using exclusively Happy
Total waste of money Subreddit dont work interface is complicated logging into account does nothing Stay away from this app Dont buy
This seems to have the makings of a great app but the inability to vote on submissions the lack of an inbox and a few other missing features make this basically a reddit rss reader Its not bad but its not complete Not There Yet
For a debut reddit app it is great Clean Simple Not exactly the go to app yet and doesnt have full functionality managing subreddits isnt a feature but has the basis for competition with the more popular ones A good start
But has a lot of room for hammering out the little issues Things such as displaying links correctly and changing upvote to remove upvote once a comment or thread has been upvotes Also just displaying upvotes to begin with Really good
Absolutely worlds smoother than Alien Blue The first time I opened it I was amazed at how fast the content loaded And the subtle things How the background slightly fades away when loading an image The slight blur of content under the tab bar And that icon All incredibly beautiful Seems like one of the first real alternatives to Alien Blue on iOS Keep up the good work Only used it for a bit so far but seems promising
My personal favorite reddit client Almost has good has RES on desktop Best reddit client
Is there no way to subscribe to a subreddit I figure out how to swipe to UNsubscribe but I dont see how to add a new one Subscribe to Subreddit
Lack of support for subscribed subreddits View front page is the only functionality Good start
Has potential but might be abandon ware at this point One of the best looking reddit apps easily though Potential
This is a beautiful reddit client that has replaced for me anyway AlienBlue Two things could be added that would improve the app the ability to collapse comment threads and the ability to go straight to comments especially for subreddits like AskReddit Great
This is the first reddit app that rivals Alien Blue The design language is excellent the app is responsive and this is my favorite experience in many ways The implementation of a dark mode is really clever too Great start A few features are still needed to make the app worth five stats however First subreddits need to be organized by alphabetical order and preloaded Scrolling and waiting for the subreddits to load is bad design Second comments need a native interface a la Alien Blue rather than being loaded in an external web page The absence of native comments is tacky slow breaks the consistent design and is just disappointing when considering how great the rest of this app is Finally the icon is an orange version of the Alien Blue icon Instead I suggest adding a gradient much like Apples default apps The current icon looks too much like an Alien Blue rip off which misrepresents how good and unique this app is I hope to see these features implemented Excellent Start
Unable to upvote main submissions Please fix I get the error could not make upvote on this post null every time I want to upvote a post PLEASE FIX Cant upvote main posts
Great app and like other users this has replaced reddit client on my home screen Adding ability to collapse comments would be greatly appreciated Thank you Collapse Comments
