I used this bible and it was my fav but since the 11os upgrade it will not let me download my already purchased bibles on it and they cost me some money Please fix that Amp will not download and I used that all the time     Not happy Markbrady69

This app over charges for items that are 99 on other apps You can get a YLT Young s Literal Translation on other apps for 99 and this app charges 5 00 That s ridiculous I ve already deleted this 5 for something I can get for 99 somewhere else is just plane nuts I d give it more stars but the amount of money this app is charging is like some kind of weird pay to play feature     Over charges for things Mr. Church 8/12

Zero Stars is not an option or I would have rated this ZERO Sadly this previously excellent Bible app has now become unusable I ve spent hundreds in add ons but can t reliably use any of the previous features The search function is poorly designed it locks up or crashes The app will not switch between Bibles and sometimes displays the wrong Bible one that had not been selected     Unusable Thy-r-me

This ap used to be the best until recent update oct 2017 or so Markers do not work as good as notes did Mantis used to have unique features it s competitors did not have After the upgrade they have less features than their competitors Lord willing they will implement prior features and the i will change my rating to 5stars Many other people commented that it wasn t broke why did they try and fix it A complete tear down wasn t necessary I invested a lot of time and money into this ap and it pains me to have to switch to a competitors platform     Used to be the best Geez B

I loved this app before it was updated It has a clunky feel now What I really am disappointed about is the search function We used to be able to narrow our searches down to even one book of the Bible but don t have that option yet I hope that ability is coming And that is the reason for two stars one of my main uses of the app is the search function Another problem is that I have had to repeatedly reload my purchased items I have several translations downloaded but every so often only the KJV is loaded and I have to restore my purchases again So not only is the app clunky the search function practically useless but it doesn t work right either It s really too bad because I found this app quite useful before it was improved I have now switched to Olive Tree It wasn t as good as Mantis before but us fat better now     Needs a little work Martevious

The latest upgrade isn t at all welcome It wasn t broke but it is now Offer the classic version to those of us with you a long time The layout responsiveness Very disappointed and glad I only upgraded the iPad But what to do when I upgrade the phone Bring back the classic pre upgrade version     It wasn t broke Why did you try to fix it rftjr

UPDATE I m glad to see that this app is slowly making its way back to what it used to be Still buggy but getting better bit by bit Note editing is challenging The font size is so small on the marker editing screen and the text editing area keeps disappearing collapsing can t see what I m typing Note marker editing in landscape mode isn t possible on devices with smaller screens iPods and older iPhones Glad to see the inline note editor back but still can t use it in landscape mode because there isn t enough screen real estate Typing in portrait mode isn t easy unless it s on an iPad The most important feature I think is needed right away is the ability to export all of my notes and memory verses off of the device and into a text file via wi fi browser iTunes whatever s possible This is a major flaw in the new version It doesn t do any good to be able to sync with other devices running the app I need to get the notes off so they can be copied to Word PowerPoint etc Please put this back in Twice now I ve lost all new notes created in the new version Both times it was after an update If I had had the ability to export my notes before updating I wouldn t have lost all of that Adding one star because I m thankful that the developer is listening to feedback and is making some improvements UPDATE I recommend not upgrading to 10 1 24 After the update my new account didn t work anymore I had to create a new account I just recreated the account I had before After that I was able to import my old data but all the notes markers that I had created during the past two weeks are now gone This new version desperately needs a feature to backup and download notes like the old version Syncing to other devices isn t enough There doesn t seem to be any way to contact customer support I tried the website and the Facebook page Haven t been any posts there for several years What s going on with this app and company Please help I was so excited to finally see an update to the Mantis Bible Study app There have been no updates to this app for a long time It s been a 5 star app in my book for several years However the new version v10 takes many steps leaps backwards Terrible user interface Multiple taps required to write notes add bookmarks save memory verses etc It used to be so easy to use just like reading a hard copy Bible and writing notes in the margins Not anymore The new Markers feature really killed this app I m very sad to lose what used to be my favorite Bible reading and study tool Have been a loyal user for many years I was also sad to see that there is still very limited support on the website and no explanation whatsoever about what happened to this app the developer s the support for the past couple years         Completely ruined a beautiful Bible study app dpodster

The product worked flawless until new update Currently i have an old iPad that didn t update It works perfect The current version on my iPhone is useless Nothing works Can t import my purchases The interface is confusing Don t even try to use it I would expect this from a 99 cent app however i have well over 150 invested in something that doesn t work Very sad     Was my favorite Vuzzle22

After updating both of my iPads I no longer have access to all of my previous purchases Some of the books seem to be lacking content exposing only partial chapters This platform is a wonderful tool and the search engines were very useful under the old system There are far too many glitches now in the new update I have spent scores of dollars just use this system Now it is unusable         New Update is a disaster strngmusic

Since I grew up on the KJV I still use it to search for scriptures The Mantis app used to be great for scripture searches Just enter a couple of key words and voila It was done However since the new and improved version came out it does not work well at all For instance if you were searching for 2 Samuel 11 1 you could enter the words kings and battle and it would come up quickly But no longer The search would produce 0 results under the new version My go to app is no longer reliable for this             What happened to the search engine Ken Huge

I wanted to thank the developers for the great update for iOS11 I ve used this app from the beginning with several add ons purchased It is the best and fastest Bible app to get to the chapter verse and references I use Thank you for being very active with all the latest updates                     Amazing Update JHArtistry

This was supposed to be a big improvement but I don t see how The entire layout has changed to the point where it not only looks like a whole different app it behaves like one Bringing up side by side comparisons is more cumbersome than it used to be bookmarking isn t what it used to be Well they fixed the search problem but it s still more complicated than it should be I e for me to be able to highlight text in NASS I have to go into settings turn off Strong s exit settings highlight my text which is still complicated go back into settings turn Strong s back on and then exit settings I have an idea bring back the old Mantis make it iOS 11 compatible and call it Mantis Original Problem solved         Update Still needs major improvement SpouttinOff

10 1 44 11 11 17 List Selection Okay the List Selection only applies to verses The app description for 10 1 44 says this applies to books and chapters too Clear that up Secondly make the List Selection another view option not just underneath the verse boxes Allow people to choose whether they want to see boxes or lists for books and chapters too Navigation The Navigation feature at the bottom of the the screen is truly wonderful It s quick easy to use and just makes sense Everyone is used to an interface like this However screen size has been cropped Maybe you re working on hiding this issue already I don t know You need to build in code that allows the user to double tap for full screen This would fix two issues at once the need for the bottom of the screen menu bar to disappear and the ability that everyone wants full screen Notes Options Finally we still need to be able to access the function to quickly add notes some pastors talk fast and by the time we get to the marker tab it s too late quickly add bookmarks highlight etc We should be able to touch a verse number bookmark it or add a note right there and move on Final Thoughts Folks the things people are complaining about or missing from the previous version of Mantis are what made this app one of the best Bible Study apps out there It s disappointing that there was no warning about how drastically different this Mantis X would be and with it being so different there was no tutorial or explanation about how to use the app Keep working at it Things are slowly getting better with the List Selection and Menu bar at the bottom Keep listening to feedback Thanks for reading 10 0 9 26 17 I have really enjoyed this app in the past However with this new X version the user experience is not what it once was Great aspects from the previous user interface are now gone such as Double tapping for full screen or even the option of full screen The ability to quickly access books chapters verses and commentaries with the corner navigation this was not amazing and it had flaws but at least it was fast Swiping for previous next chapter and Chapter selection Now it takes significantly longer to access those references You cannot quickly add notes or bookmarks not sure how to even do this now The user interface is more complicated than before A tutorial on how to use the app would be amazing not that a Bible app should need one Loading times are much longer and there are hardly any settings options The overall aesthetic is nice But the unnecessary book colors really breaks the clean look Honestly the older version was fantastic compared to this It was relatively fast and simple to use and navigation made sense I would really like to see these issues addressed in the coming weeks     Not Good But Getting Better Nick7645

3 4 updates for the past 3weeks results in an app that freezes to a white screen upon opening Can t do anything with it This app used to be good now it s junk I m deleting it My recommendation is to find another bible app and stay away from this since the developers don t seem to know Apple codes     Junk Dino96

This is by far my favorite bible app I ve used it for ten years The recent update was long overdue but it s finally here and I love it I m able to see the original Greek and Hebrew words and their definitions with just a tap Commentaries on each verse are a click away I do wish they would bring back being able to turn the page with a swipe anywhere on the screen instead of having to click at the top arrow but that s minor Thank you for the update Love this app                     Back and better than ever The Big Bengal

I trust the developers won t mind my breaking the silence with some fantastic news The All New MANTIS for iOS 11 and more will be released very soon and it s going to be available to you wherever you want it at home at work on the road you ll see I m expecting to see MANY 5 Star ratings from users Todd                     VERY soon will be released the completely new Mantis Give them a choice

New update looks great except you have to log in every time you use it So if you don t have internet like on a youth camping trip no bible         Needs serious updated triaminnick

I m glad to see Mantis back as an app however I am having difficulty tapping open a verse which exposes my selected references material and comparisons Bibles I usually hit a word that then wants to be highlighted and then tap tap tap trying to open the verse Same for trying to close Hopefully this will be addressed in a new fix I did find however that if I increase the font size it helps with the tapping in order to open and close a verse Other than that I love the app and use it often             Not as good as before Jonkir

I have used this app for years It has become an invaluable resource Sadly it s been so long since the developer has updated it that it no longer works with the most current version of IOS Obviously the developer has given up on it I m sorry to see it go UPDATE They finally updated and it s working great                     Updated darrell385

What happened to quick corner navigation Full screen mode Swipe for next and pervious chapter All of these were very useful They were what made Mantis my go to Bible app Also there is no night inverse mode White with black text drains battery much more quickly than black with white text I am glad the app is being updated but seems like a few steps backward             Removed features Running Doug

I ve used Mantis for many years as I feel it is the best app for biblical word study and for comparing bible translations The latest version I have is 10 1 19 and this version has everything up and running like it was in Mantis 4 I had a minor problem with a password reset and online support responded in ten minutes with a work around and easy fix I am very pleased with Mantis X and look forward to using it for years to come                     Happy with Mantis X TTAGGG1000
