Used to love this app and told everyone about it Not working the way it used to I have to open and close sometimes several times to get a location The alerts are completely off My child can arrive at home then a half hour later I get an alert that they are home Sometimes I get the alerts backwards first that they arrived then that they left Very frustrating Looking for a different app now Update This app hasn t worked properly for almost a year I am constantly receiving alerts that one of or more of my children are either exceeding the speed limit arriving or leaving some where when they are literally sitting on front of me I have even gotten alerts in the middle of the night which is not a pleasant way to be woken at 3 am Only to run into their room and find them sound asleep I have given this app plenty of time to get straightened out I will Be removing it and finding another Update again I have not yet received a response to my many emails I have been waiting to remove this app in hopes that I would be contacted SO DONE Btw why are you this very moment telling me my daughter has left home and is exceeding my set speed limit Apparently she s going 80 mph while sitting on the sofa next to me SMDH Not working anymore Best gamer ever$$$$$$

I have to add my two cents in with all of the other reviewers who say the app is no longer as good as it used to be I have been having a horrible time trying to get my son s YouTube account back active on the app and customer service has not been as great as I thought it should have been They keep skirting around the fact that I am asking for a discount since I m not getting the full service of the app and they won t answer that question Somehow poor management has crept in to this fabulous idea of an app Was good but not anymore Todd Hearnsberger

The app started out great but within a week of installing on my and my son s phone I was getting notifications hours and days after he had been at a location if at all It quickly became JUNK When the app works it is great But most of the time it does not work This app would allow me to know when my son gets somewhere when he is on a school trip and when they leave the location I can better plan when to be at the school to pick him up I wish it would send the notifications ALL THE TIME Love concept Wesreg

Update looks like they resolved the location notification At least it started today Nice job devs Congrats Back to 4 for me This last upgrade makes this app go from 4 to 1 Its actually dangerous Before the upgrade if you allowed notifications on locked screen I could see at a glance when my child arrived or left school home etc now I get a notice that a event has occurred and have to open the app to maybe see whats going on Dangerous when Im driving and bothersome when I am at work in a meeting There is an increase in lag of the events I will drive my child to school and after dropping them off on the way to work Ill get 2 event notices which are they left home and arrived at school but way off on time accuracy and timely notifications The previous version was so much better Im consisting replacing this app and now looking for alternatives Worst upgrade ever revised

I like this app The concept of this app is very helpful to parents However it has some glitches For example I got an alert once in the middle of the day that my 8th grader had left school It freaked me out I was worried and I called the school and she was there in class right where she was supposed to be Another time it alerted me that my daughter just arrived home when she had been there with me for hours And sometimes the map is off I track both of my daughters on mamabear The map showed that my two daughters where in two different places when in fact they were together I then checked both of them on Find My iPhone as a back up and in fact they were both together I think with a little more tweaking this app will serve parents very well Helpful But Needs Work

Great tool to monitor my girls Im a single mom who relies on after school care and transportation Its a great app to make sure they are where they are supposed to be I love the check in feature I agree though with the one review Its a little glitchy I had the same problem in the middle of the night with it showing having left home and my daughter was sound asleep in bed And to the I agree with the one reviewer MORON saying its a stalker app Its a shame we have to track our kids now a days but it is a necessary evil Its not my children I worry about as much as the other folks out there that can hurt my children I am not naive though either they are going to get in trouble from time to time I would just like to be able to keep them away from some of it Hopefully monitoring texts on iOS comes soon too I love it

I couldnt be more pleased My daughter was able to join social media sites as long as we used this app as a safety precaution and so far its been working wonderfully It is quite expensive but I love the real time connection and the security it provides on so many levels Great

Cant add a guardian or child since update Works pretty good with my kids I already have on it tho My son has to drive three hours to get to his grandparents and it great for me to keep track without having to call him while driving For the MORON calling this a stalker app for mothers to stalk their kid either he has no kids or he is not a full time parent Probably a dead beat or something My husband and I work in ems and law enforcement and we have witnessed parents that couldnt find their teens and it was because they were off in a deep ditch where they couldnt be seen and had the been able to locate them sooner the outcome may have been different Pretty good but havent been able to add anyone else

Mama bear rocks I love being able to look at the maps and see where my daughter is or getting an alert when shes speeding usually when shes the passenger rather than the driver Lol My only complaint is that sometimes its not very accurate and gives alerts that are hours old Im not sure if thats always the app or my service In spite of the occasional glitches Im VERY happy with MamaBear and Ive told dozens of people about it Wonderful app

The developers listened to their customers and changed the notification system back to how it was originally The info pops up on your home screen so you dont have to open the app I find the location services and speeding alert very accurate but I am sure to keep the app open on my phone and my childrens phones My kids actually dont mind having the app because they dont have to remember to text me every time they get to their destination It really eases the worry of having a new driver This app used to be great but the recent update is absolutely terrible Before the update the notification that popped up told you what you need to know ie Child has left Starbucks and it was great However now you have to open the app to see the info because all the notification says is that there is a notification This is SO cumbersome if youre driving in a meeting or otherwise occupied I also complained like the other reviewer and was told I have to do is open the app Really I get that I have the PAID version of the app so I shouldnt be forced to open it to see ads I doubt I am the only one complaining but they dont seem to care what the user wants Update isnt terrible anymore

Completely unreliable and has never worked get alerts that my son has left home when he is right in front of me and says he is home after he leaves the house We have great cell service so there is no reason this app never updates his location And there is no reload button if its showing an old location Plus the pink mama bear icon is kind of embarrassing for teenagers and pre teens Deleting app

I love the idea of this app I can keep track of my girls and monitor their social media However it has alerted me that they have left the house 12 times overnight when they were at home the whole time Please fix this It happens a lot I would also like Snapchat added Glitchy

I had been very unhappy with a change to the app that impacted notifications but the Mamabear team heard my concern and corrected the issue Now I can see when my kids arrive at school or a friends house in a notification on my lock screen without opening the app I love it Fantastic app

Although it has limitations this is a pretty good app It notifies me when my kid tweets or posts on Instagram or FBwithout my having to go into those sites one by one It also notifies me when he arrives at school leaves school etc pretty awesome for an overprotective mom Disadvantagesit only works over data so if you have a cheap cellular only plus wifi plan with no dataas I do and probably a lot of people do as they are cheaperit is less useful as you only get the notifications when your kid connects to wifi However ALL of these big brother apps work this waybelieve me I have checked Your kid will know you are watching so its not super stealth or anything Anyway overall pretty good and I would recommend based on a weeks use Very good for what it is

This is a great app if you have children with phones and social media accounts I am a little disappointed that the app is at times a little slow and when navigating off the home screen it almost always freezes I cannot open the Activity and Settings options and dont know why Overall very happy with this app

Mamma Bear is a great tool It allows me to check on the kids without bothering them We also used it to locate my sons stolen phone at an amusement park Draw backs if they turn the data off on their phone it will not work It also sends text for going over the speed limit but Im in the car with him and it exactly the speed limit I like it

It still shows my daughter at a restaurant she ate at 2 DAYS ago I checked her phone and location settings are on I took my other daughters phone with me to work and it still shows her at home Im on the hunt for an app that actually works Wont work

This app helps provide before hand alert for emergencies that may be able to be prevented Just a wonderful overall idea Really good app Seeking best interest

At the minimum I expected the app to be accurate with location services As it stands now this thing is hit or miss Sometimes it tells me where my child is and most times it doesnt I deleted the worthless app and just use apples software to locate my kids when needed It needs work and is pointless Not so much
