Ive lost a ton of weight using the Low GI App Its a great tool for my lowcarb diet Its keeps me on the straight and narrow Im not diabetic but it serves my purpose on a lowcarb diet I would not be as successful w o it                 Lost weight
The food lists could be better When you look at the log I wish you could see the GI and GL for each item not just the whole meal It would be nice to be able to record your blood sugar with time of day There should be a better way than just ave GI to show your progress This ap does help you make better food choices The price is reasonable              Not perfect but
Im only 12 so this is an easy way to track my food because I get busy My friends have so much fun putting in foods and seeing the results Its nice because the app explains the concept of GI and isnt too complicated It helps you loose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle                 Awesome App
The app has a great concept Even though it doesnt really count calories in a way that easily helps you loose weight it never claimed to It does keep track of the GI very well But the searching for food to add is archaic It takes way too long is extremely frustrating I fine that what it accomplishes is not worth the price I paid I am not a fan of this appI am sorry If there was a way to return it I would     No worth the cost
I cannot believe they charge for this The scrolling search is ridiculous and not in any order that makes sense I scroll up and down several times because I never know if the item could possibly be randomly listed How can MyFitnessPal maintain such a large data base of foods for free yet this app that was developed years ago doesnt and charges for it Im not even sure if the formula for glycemic load is correct because according to the explanation they divide the glycemic index by serving size times 100 and that is not correct its supposed to be GI net carbs x 100 Not sure if they have a bad technical writer or if its really being done wrong I havent bothered to even check because this app is a big disappointment and after having it one day I know I wont be using it I wish I could get a refund and advise you not to fall for this app     Wish Zero stars was an option

If the food database includes data created by users there is a big problem Food data created by users makes GI an optional field If you leave this field blank it registers as a GI of zero I created a food for Thomas original nooks and crannies English muffin using the available nutritional data I didnt know the GI or GI Load so left it blank Using this as part of my meal it shows a GI of zero If I choose a generic English muffin it shows GI of 77 Big difference        Beware the zero index foods
This app is rather clunky for the price Lots of clicking Very disappointed that falafel and hummus are not in the foods list Feeling a little ripped off           Okay app missing foods

This program is a terrific tool to aid in weight loss Being able to track glycemic index and glycemic load is essential for those trying manage blood sugar I track everything I consume in this app Yes there are a number of features Id like to see added The ability to copy and paste a prior meal would save time when you have the same lunch three days in a row Also Id love to see the data stored on the cloud so that I could use my iPhone instead of my iPad when Im out at a restaurant It would also help if more detail was provided on each food item consumed like calories carbs and glycemic load in the daily food log Hopefully those features will come in version 20              Indispensable tool for diabetics and anyone losing weight

Tried to enter my morning smoothie Almond milk not in database but 47 varieties of Hersheys milk chocolate with almonds topped the list Searched for protein powder no hits but powdered donuts made the list Useless     Terrible dont waste your money
I have started using the app a week ago and was surprised to see how much sugar and carbs I have been eating despite my low carb diet Sugar can hide in many shapes and forms in your diet and this app is excellent in helping you discover it and correcting your eating habits I wish the app would have the ability to extract and send the data to your email just like carb manager app does The list of foods is somewhat limited when it comes to healthy choices for example you do not find raw kale or raspberries on the list but on the other hand you can make your own customized list              Excellent app
I have significant medical reasons why I have to track my GIGL rates and this app is the best GIGL tracker Ive found However I would like to see it evolve into something more intuitive with some of the abilities available in MyFitnessPal Such as barcode scanning and being able to change a logged food item without having to delete it Im sure their database is too small to accommodate something like that at this point but I hope it will grow into it              Excellent GIGL tracker looking forward to its evolution
Just looking over the 8000 food items listed has expanded my horizons as to which foods are safe and which ones arent As a diabetic this has been excellent Before using this App I was averaging 214 glucose 4 days later and Im now down to 135 Even had to cut down insulin levels There is a Favorites food option by using the star icon that makes it much easier to record everything eaten Highly recommend this App                 Excellent App
This app is designed for the common unhealthy American diet If you look for foods like raw lemon chia hemp or sea weed you wont find any info Many vegetables not listed But if you eat cakes pies sodas and heavy sauces you will find plenty of info Not adequate for my needs The search continues        Only for Mainstream Diets
No listings for basic wine white or red And when you search for alcoholic drinks it only gives you only nonalcoholic listings Missing lots of of other popular foods such as uncooked kale Needs updating           An app for teetototalers

This is the best GIGL tracker out there Its easy to use lots of food options in the default search and theres the ability to add more foods I would love to be able to see more nutritional information beyond the pie chart Id also like to click on a food and see the nutritional info for that food as well I would highly recommend this app if youre making a dietary change for whatever reason              Really good would like more nutritional information
This app lacks so many foods and is sooo limited and time consuminggreat for just a look to see GI of a food IF ITS EVEN IN THEIR DATABASEbut as for the rest very lackingIt doesnt even let you know where a healthy GL should be but then none of th GI aps are very good so farMy Fitness Pal is the best food trackerWish it incorporated GI also                 Need to merge this with My Fitness Pal

My second review I changed to 5 stars I have the group of apps but I like this for my DH He needs to get his AC1 down and this is so simple I would like u to add some things Like being able to make corrections without deleted the item that needs correcting U have put so much in carb manager Id like some of those things in this app                 Great

I regretted this app almost instantly Its clunky and while it will let you add your own foods it wont calculate the GI for you I want an app for my convenience and this isnt one that is for someone wanting an easy and quick way of tracking        Not a good app
This app is pretty good in that it does have several foods to choose from in every category However I dont see where you can create a custom food if its not included on their list Some food descriptions are clunky and too wordy making it slow to find foods because of the way things are described And this is my fault because I didnt read the app description very well apparently but what food app now does not have a label scan feature I wish I had realized this before paying so much for the app So its okay but not fabulous Be prepared for having a good idea what the GI is for the foods you eat but it feels more like an estimate than a precise tool My rating is Meh           This is an OK app

This app has been great at helping me become more aware of foods that I eat that have a high gi However I am disappointed that I cant save frequently consumed foods and meals I eat the exact same breakfast 6 days out of 7 but I have to search for each part of it every single morning if I want to update my food log Also not sure why there are so many junky foods listed Aunt Jemima syrup chocolate milk shake but not real foods maple syrup skim milk Wellskim milk is there but you have to really search Overallsorry to say I kind of wish Id kept my money I cant imagine reentering everything daily for months after month Hopefully improvements will be made soon           Great idea but app needs work

I thought by getting this app it would help me with my glycemic index and load Well I have to say that myfitness pal and jawbone both are much more updated on food you can search for and they are free They just dont calculate GI GL I searched for the food I ate today and only found 2 things Wish my fitness pal andor jawbone calculated everything     Do not like this app at all
It doesnt track enough nutrients You can input custom foods but must input all info There is no way to add recipes which for me makes this unusable I would have to add the correct serving size of every item contained in the recipe so 1 egg in a recipe with 4 servings in a recipe becomes 14 egg Since I usually cook casseroles or dishes with many ingredients this app becomes unusable        Better than some worse than others
I purchased this about a week ago and I am somewhat disappointed The database has problems as its put in by individuals who leave out valid information thats producing erroneous results Therefor they cannot be relied upon Also there is no way to print a report Also there is no way to print a report And sadly you cannot save a days worth of meals that you may repeat easily by copy and paste As a result you must type in each and every day even if its the same item Lastly I have written to the developer with some concerns three days ago and still have not got a response        Could be better

AWESOME app I am super pleased To me the most important things to watch in my food consumption are SWEETS and calories and this app makes it easy to track them I love the fact that you can see the colorcoded AND numerical GI of all the related foods during the search which makes it easy to see which are better choices This app is going to make me healthier Thank you                 perfect for people who care about sugar intake
