Everyone who sees the results immediately downloads it The visual detail and numerical information is fabulous My 2 cons to date are how many clicks it takes to save a photo and sometimes finding the screen you want It s seems too cumbersome for my tastes like Apples podcast app But when you get it done it s wonderful                     Awesome nyc88

I have tried to use this app during a recent hiking trip in Arizona 1 The first thing I believe is a problem is the necessity to log in to Live Trekker using a telecom connection This is a non starter for use out of the country where I don t have a connection or chose not to due to excessive roaming charges Why require this just let a user use the app as a guest and synch back up when you are logged on to wifi later 2 Despite 1 the app was pretty good at what it did more on this later in that in some cases it tracked the hike very well the graphics were very good and the ability to imbed photos during the hike was a very nice feature This base functionality when it worked was very good 3 Unfortunately the app had a mind of it s own in that it only worked properly occasionally In several instances I turned the app on and started a route which included dinner at a restaurant Despite the fact that I never moved for over an hour the app recorded all kinds of activity with red vectors showing on the play back later Very strange and obviously not correct 4 Almost as troubling I reported my problem to the help address and have yet to receive even an email response acknowledging receipt No response whatsoever or a recognition that the problem I described was real Any support whatsoever has been totally absent So in summary the app has potential but it is not ready for any serious use at this point Why use it if the results are in question to begin with Add to that the requirement that you have phone connectivity for a log in process which I think is a poor architecture for the app and it is doubtful I will use the app in the future Were it to work properly this app would be worth buying but not in it s present state I m still waiting for a response to my query regarding problems experienced         Despite potential quirky and without any visible support ggr001

This app has a number of useful features mapping your trip is obvious on clear map bases is obvious Across portions of the western US the location tracking is consistently better than 50 meters and is often better than that It is relatively straightforward to add content voice camera notes to a trip The user interface on both the phone and iPad versions can be quirky and trips will stop recording occasionally this could be a problem more with the iPhone Biggest complaint is the Discover trips that get dumped on you whether you want them or not Like most people I m not interested in what trip an app designer finds interesting             Needs user control Cowgreat

I really like this app I m currently playing with it so that I fully understand how to best use it for a trip to Budapest Munich this summer One question do I need to get an international calling plan for the 3 weeks I ll be in Europe Will turning off cellular data be enough to not get roaming charges Or airplane mode I ll have good wifi each evening on the cruise ship                     Love it yxplayer
