When looking up Norco 5 325 the information given is for acetaminophen only This is extremely dangerous given the nature of this app is drug safety for a nursing infant Glad I know there is more than just acetaminophen in those pills but some people may not and that s scary Please fix this Also the most recent cited information resource is from 1987 There must be more recent information available Dr Hale is known as the leading authority on drug interactions with breastfeeding and his work isn t referenced at all What is goin on here I thought this was going to be a respectable resource Glad I did some double checking for the sake of my baby I ll stick to the infant risk website A great resource for any breastfeeding mother     Misinformation Fayscoll

Fantastic app Must have for breastfeeding moms Doctors are not BFing experts and this easy to use app gives you all the info you need so you can do your own research and homework                     Fantastic DianaClaire
If this app is truly for nursing mothers and not medical professionals the information needs to be presented in layman s terms so it s more accessible to the average person Many people lack the health literacy necessary to interpret the info Otherwise great idea and has been helpful to me so far             Love this idea but Niki1813
This app is absolutely essential for nursing mothers and their medical care givers It clearly and concisely tells you if it s ok to take a certain medicine while nursing It also gives you information about possible side effects for the baby so you can make an informed decision It s nothing fancy to look at but the information is solid                     Must have for every nursing mother viclindsay
If you don t have a medical background this app is kinda useless It is not user friendly at all         Not user friendly Hc_sue

This app is incredibly helpful for breastfeeding mothers and it s based on reliable peer reviewed research Not having to look up medications online and try to decipher the reliability of the source is really convenient                     So helpful teabeeisme
Doctors are now a days are misinformed about what drugs are ok for the breastfeeding women Not there fault they don t have much schooling on the subject This is a great tool for breastfeeding mothers to know possible outcomes of taking certain medications and what to stay away from It stays up to date as well That being said this is not amazingly user friendly If you have even a touch of a medical background it is ok to understand when diving into why certain drugs react the way they do awesome that it tells you why My ONLY reason for 4 stars is because of it not being as user friendly as they could Great app I recommend to other breastfeeding moms as well Keep calm and latch on mamas                 Great tool WooJaHoo

I am a nurse as well as a breastfeeding mother I used this app today to find something for my cold since my usual go to med behind the counter decongestant can decrease supply The app led me to a decongestant nasal spray that is OTC that wouldn t effect my supply and I feel so much better now The only downside is the navigation could be more user friendly but it gets the job done                     Great for nursing moms or HC professionals JulieTres
This app is very well done It is nicely organized and useful for making choices regarding what drug to prescribe to a nursing mom It is not perfect looking under drug class analgesic opioid just lists codeine while analgesics opioid lists 16 opioid agents It would also be nice to have a ranking by safety among drugs of the same category to make the choice a bit quicker Overall a great app                 Well done Sarah'sScott

The Lactmed database online is a great tool for making sure drugs are okay to take while nursing Unfortunately the Lactmed app has such limited functionality that it s pretty much worthless For example online if you want to look up a drug by its generic name no problem Lactmed will even make suggestions if you don t spell it right With the app you can t just type in a generic name and search for it Incredible how they took a website so good and easy to use and turned it into A frustrating worthless app     Horrible use the web version instead Chet11590

Research based comprehensive and well organized A few features that would be nice in the next version alternate drugs should be linked to their entries for ease of use inclusion of a ranking system such as Thomas Hale s lactation risk categories L1 safest through L5 contraindicated removal of value based judgements of a mother s decision to use a medication such statements have no bearing on breastfeeding ability to search for keywords and not just by title or class Overall a great app I expect to use it regularly and so should every lactation consultant pediatrician midwife OB family practice doctor and pharmacist                     Useful app for breastfeeding professionals migennes
