New os update needed Will not load     Needs to be updated for new OS jpietrol
Downloading fails every time Worthless App     Failure Agenbite of inwit
For as many cardiologists that use iPads and have a JACC subscription I would have expected a superior app with easy navigation and a top end interface Unfortunately this app has none of those The JACC material is excellent as expected but developing a new totally overhauled modern app should be a top priority for ACC and Elsevier         Disappointing interface modernistDO
The downloading is too slow It takes for ever It could be better If it offers option of downloading individual article I wish that I could have not bought the IPad     Downloading Riaz Mohammad
The ads are so obnoxious they force you to look at the ads for almost 10 seconds and they are hard to get rid of I was so annoyed that I refused to prescribe the drugs or devices they advertised unless I didn t have any other choices     Obnoxious ads difficult to get rid of Xarelto and TAVI ads Evidence based police
The program is slow to start up and It takes too long to download an entire journal This could be much improved if it offered the option to download individual articles The standard online version of the journal is still easier to navigate Agree with other reviewer that there should be a way to track which issues have been read     Still easier to read online Lenberg1
Tends to crash while loading advertisements if I m using it without wi fi eg On a plane Additional features such as ability to open articles on ibooks would be helpful Would love features such as highlight bookmarks increase font size Program is slow and full of bugs when compared to media such as the Economist Time         Buggy apexbeat
Actually was a great app before the upgrade Now it won t start and just keeps crashing The long awaited update that was supposed to fix this has not helped Still crashes Pls fix     Crashing still Couchto21k
Nice app but not as user friendly as the Circulation app Adding a feature to email articles as a link would be great Circulation also makes it easier to move from one article to the next Also why aren t the Summary of Key articles sections included Especially as an ACC member I would get them in the print version but I prefer to use the iPad version Please include ALL sections on the iPad app                 New Features Geoff-MI
I deleted and reloaded the app worked for me                 Works again CardioGa
Used to work very good now it simply doesn t work at all extremely low response time to either fix or roll back to previous version     App should be in the CCU ErasmoPA
Recent update is a failure It does not open and how can you rate something does not even work As there is no Zero I will have to give 1 star     Recent update BAP48
Update does not work back to reading paper journal Update fails to open     FAIL DocLL
Very good UNTIL the most recent update Now will not open Please fix it     Fix it Wramc
Fails to startup after update But very good app before then     Won t start up ABurningFalcon
I updated to the 2 1 version and it quits each time i open the app have not be able to use it at all it is a useless app now fit it or remove it from the store     crash all the time David Tech
Beautiful layout that is identical to the print edition Multimedia content harnesses the power of the iPad a marriage of the portability of the print edition and the utility of website access I m definitely recommending this app to all of my colleagues I just wish NEJM BMJ and Lancet would follow suit                 The first reputable medical journal to venture into the iPad world Lankysudanese
Very helpful to be able to download all the JACC content to my iPad Now I don t have to carry stacks of the journal with me on airplanes                     Great app chfdoc
I have been very critical of this software because when it was announced I very much looked forward to it However I was very disappointed with the product Now things are MUCH improved I can download the issues without all the multimedia which makes downloads much faster slow downloads were my main problem before Then inside the articles I can select individual pieces of multimedia to download if needed The font is much nicer and more readable than before Being able to jump to a particular part of the article is very nice Overall a great update Keep up the good work                 Finally GaryMD75
A great new way to keep up with the most relevant cardiology journal Very innovative with excellent supporting content to round out the journal articles Well done                     JACC Leads The Pack Once Again Todd Bradley
The downloading of ecah edition was felt to be unnecessarily long Also even with multi tasking the app did not seem to download the edition in the background i e you had to stay in the app to get the download to work I have seen other magazines where you start with the table of the contents and can start reading the article you like pretty quickly and the rest of the magazine is downloading in the background That model does not make you feel like the downloading was that long Also one may not want to read every article in an edition of the journal too The video play back also has a draw back at least in some f the vides There is only one beat of the heart for example in an ech video The play back does not continually loop This makes it necessary for the reader to repeatedly press the play back The resulting experience is one of frustration as it is diffcult to see what needs to be seen I am not sure if this is an iPad limitation or the app limitation Irrespectively the result is the same Hops this could be addressed Overall this is a great way read the JACC and I am hoping that these minor annoyances can be easily addressed             Video play back is not ideal Downloading is too slow pkilaru
It seems like the new issues are really delayed compared with the print issues this is of little help to me I would he willing to forgo my print subscription but only if the iPad version is as up to date if not more so than the print one I agree with the first reviewer that it is crazy that I have to keep the app running to download the latest edition and it does take way too long There also needs to be a way to cancel or abort an ongoing download and a way to delete old issues that we are done reading I am overall disappointed that see these large publishing companies can t seem to get a fairly easy technology running well         Still needs work Come on how hard can this be MJBMD2011
I have tried desperately for hours just to download a single issue The download progress moves VERY slowly and eventually the iPad will go to sleep and the whole download process will abort Then I have to start all over again and again it takes forever and eventually it fails I spent more than 2 hours trying to get an issue and the whole while I wasn t able to use my iPad for anything else and I STILL haven t been able to download anything Seriously did you even test this thing before submitting it What a huge waste of time I expected much more from Elsevier     This app is broken LossForWords
Version 1 0 of the iPad app appeared during the AHA meeting in November 2010 Each week when a new issue of JACC posts online it will be followed later in the week available to download on your iPad Select feature articles from the issue will be enhanced by multimedia content selected by the editors primarily from Cardiosource as well as the JACC Journals Select one of these articles and see related journal scans slide sets and CVN videos As we update the app look for better notation features scrapbooking and faster download time The app is designed to not require wifi after you have downloaded a particular issue or issues Read JACC and enjoy the videos and slidesets on the plane or wherever is convenient for you We hope you enjoy this new way to get your favorite cardiology journal Glenn Collins Executive Editor JACC Journals                     iPad App Review Oliver Queen
I am so happy to have this The are two major issues that need to be fixed however First the videos only show one run They don t loop continuously Second there is no way to mark what you ve read so you don t have to go back I agree with the other reviewer that annotation needs some work Overall this is a tremendous first pass Thank you ACC                 Great start LSBMDFACC
This is a nice addition to access JACC content I would like to see more back issue access and better annotation tools Also it would be nice to have access to the other JACC journals I hope that there is sufficient interest to keep acelerating the development of this app             A solid start Whitemd
Not a bad start I had no problem downloading Nov 2 Nov 9 and Nov 16 issues There are lots of basic features missing though no bookmarks or ability to make annotations there is a a nice notes page though where you can type your own notes or copy paste but not way to easily link to the article no way to save articles or file them into personal folders a feature I thought was mentioned I like that reference numbers jump to the reference but there is no way to get back to where you were in the article quickly Not unexpectedly there are no links to the actual article The font used for the articles is terrible In the table of contents everything is formatted nicely and the font is a nice readable font same as in the print edition The actual article however uses a fixed width sans serif font courier that looks terrible Furthermore all the lines are squished together making the article very difficult to read I do like the links to associated content articles interviews etc on cardiosource It would be nice if I could turn pages to read like the iBooks or kindle apps Overall not a bad first edition I m not sure it quite replaces the print edition for me if nothing else because long blocks of text are so hard to read It s certainly good enough that I may not carry around the print edition anymore but if I have both on hand say at home I ll probably still read the print edition Looking forward to updates and improvements and getting rid of the print edition             Not a bad start adgasdfsadfwe
No access to any issues past or current What s the point     No issues available ADHD33
