iTalk Recorder Premium

I used this program extensively and was very satisfied until the OS upgrade Now every time I try and upload dictation to my dropbox the program crashes If I try to email the dictation to my assistant the max size is 10mb which sounds like a lot but is about 4 paragraph letter I requested tech support and was promised a fix was imminent Now almost 3 weeks later radio silence from tech support and no fix     Program crashes and poor support

I too have been a long time loyal user of this app and since the latest update have lost two or three very valuable recordings of situations that cannot be reproduced all due to the unexpected crashes when I didnt even touch my phone Very very disappointed     Immensely Disappointed

I had a problem getting app to work Contacted support Got a quick reply They told me to go to Privacy in the settings and turn on the mic for the Italk app I did it and the app worked great Great app and customer service                 Tommy Cooper

Previously for me the app didnt allow me to record With the new update everything works                 Nice update

This used to be a great audio recorder You used to be able to do other thing on your mobiletablet while recording NOT ANYMORE Its broken I cannot recommend this app anymore     Great program gone BAD

I like this app because theres no fumbling around Notes can be made quickly and dealt with later Just hit the big button to start and stop One thing I would like to see is the option to send the recordings to Evernote for topical filing There is an option built into iOS to facilitate that              Feature request

This app makes great sounding recordings and is easy to use I like the DropBox and emailing uploading functions I sing with a choir and this app is very useful for recording reviewing and distributing parts I would like the app to have the ability to record directly to mp3 so that the file sizes even at lowest quality setting are not so large Since uploading is limited to 5 mb files file size is a real issue It would also be helpful to have advanced playback features such as speed control and ab repeat All in all a very useful and quality app              Great Recordings Easy Functionality

Since latest update Ive had two successes and then one disaster involving another disappearance where it quit recording and everything Id seen recording prior to quitting now missing You cannot run anything else on phone hope no one tries to call even when phone us silenced and calls unanswered and pray a lot Maybe your recording attempts will work           Kind of fixed

I loved this app until the last update it now randomly stops recording and the file completely disappears I use this for work and I cant have something that is not reliable I have the purchasedpremium version but I will be looking for another app     Extremely unhappy with update

I was using the free lite version and decided to buy the full version So when I downloaded it I lost all of the recordings that I had made up to this point What a waste and now Ive lost valuable recordings that it would not let me back up on the free version I hope they enjoyed my four dollars Dont waste your money on this app     Erased all files when upgraded

I had some VERY important irreplaceable recordings that I needed to send to someone I got a message that I had to switch to pro to be able to mail them or save them So I did And my recordings queue came up empty I dont care about the money I NEEDED those recordings I was sending them to my lawyer Now I feel like an idiot for trusting this program     Erased my recordings when I went to pro

Im so disappointed I start the recording and check in the middle of lecture only to find out it stopped working And it doesnt even save those partial recordings I use iTalk for lectures and after this update it has been extremely unreliable and stressful because I rely on the recordings to review lectures I will be looking for a different app to use     Doesnt work anymore

I have been using this app for two years and the quality of the recording has never been great but it has served for my purposes this week it suddenly stopped working it acts like it is recording in the background but when you click the top bar it freezes and deletes your whole recording I have lost two important recordings today alone because of this I will be using a different app from here on out     no longer works

Ive been using iTalk Recorder Premium for about five months now I am a professional journalist and occasional TV segment producer so I absolutely need a reliable recording program that is no fuss but will also pick up incredibly quiet interview subjects and sound cues Ive been so impressed with this app that I cant imagine working without it Well I can but Id rather not A few general things to keep in mind when you use any recorder it is standard protocol for any professional or would be professional to test your recording device before going into an important interview meeting or taking notes at home to see that everything is in working order and that the settings are what you prefer I like to use the highest quality recording setting because sometimes the recordings themselves can be used as a fillin for missing audio I doublecheck before I get started Another basic professional tip When you finish yes you can leave your recording on iTalk itself this thing will hold a LOT of recordings However if your recording is important again its just common sense to back up your recording by sending it to iTunes or Dropbox or iCloud or whatever your back up of choice happens to be After I got iTalk I tried a few other programs with more gadgets and doodads but I discovered rather quickly that the recording quality was across the board rotten So Griffin Technology please do keep up the good work I am depending on you              A surprisingly professional recording app

I have iPhone 4 running IOS 6x I purchased iTalk premium in 2012 Until December 2013 I was able to record my phone calls during or prior to a call After an app update in 2014 I lost this feature The app just shakes and doesnt record Why What is the problem On my IOS 6x there isnt this settingprivacymicrophone feature if you assume it is microphoneenabling related Besides I didnt upgrade my IOS I rather upgraded iTalk I used to recommend the app to all people I know Now not anymore I am looking for an alternative     Phone call recording problem

This app has worked very well for me I like it better than Apples memo app It will even work if the app is not in the foreground You can also continue recording later on too They also have different quality settings which is great I am a fan                 Great app best recording app

With all the problems reported in 2013 why has there been no update since Dec 2012 Is it better or worse on iOS 7        No Updates since Dec 2012

Im a fieldworker and I use my phone to record interviews and meetings This lets me rewind and fast forward easily the recordings are the same quality as the stock Voice Memos app which is to say theyre good and I can upload to Dropbox easily although there is a limit of 150 mb per upload which is limiting but which is much larger than what Voice Memos lets you email so I can free up space on my phone in the field without having to connect to a computer Also unlike Voice Memos if I want to transfer the files onto my computer via iTunes I can do it on any of my computers whereas with Voice Memos I have to use the computer thats set up to backup transfer music to my iPhone Loving it                 So far awesome

This used to be a great app but its now completely unstable Ive lost 4 out of the last 5 voice memos Ive tried to take with my iPhone 5S     Totally unreliable

Ive used this app extensively for recording music and its worked great The biggest issue is that it doesnt allow the recordings to be easily exported The app crashes every attempt           Good for recording not exporting

This was an awesome app until last update Playback audio plays only thru earpiece Needs to be fixed Im now using Voice Recorder Pro until this is fixed     Playback Audio Broken

Theyve done it once again The latest update will lock up your phone forces hard reset and you will lose the recording I managed to delete the app off my phone and copy an old IPA from a back up on my computer into iTunes to go back to an older version It still works     Warning Dont do it Locks up

Ive tried to send a lecture to my drop box which I have done in the past but now whenever I try it the app crashes and takes me to my main screen        Wont let me send to drop box

Incredibly useful for any interactions that may need to be documented especially ones with law enforcement keep phone locked while recording                 Great quality

My goto voice recorder app since iPhones inception Works great great new design I would like to see the ability to organize sound clips in folders and an option to listen through the ear piece but overall this is a great app Its giant button layout is just what I need              You Fixed the Speaker mode

The audio used to go thru the Bluetooth and run as a radio now the only way to hear app is to listen via headphones or putting the phone up to your ear Seriously come on Change it back And with update app still does not save your space where u left off at least not after 20minutes Need a new app for lecture Pronto        New updateepic FAIL

It is shockingly difficult to find a decent voice recording app I wanted to use this to record a 40 minute interview It worked well I was able to save the file to drop box My only complaint is that the file format is AIFF But I was able to convert it to MP3 with iTunes              Best one I have found so far

Great sound quality and good sharing options Id like to see an option for Evernote added but Dropbox integration is great Thanks for updating with a face lift Been using it for years nice to know youre still there four years after I started using the app                 Solid recording app

I can no longer export to Dropbox program just crashes Since you can only email very small files this program has become useless for me Very disappointing     Dropbox export is broken

Ive tried to send a recording to 3 different email accounts and neither are showing up Also can send anything to my Dropbox account That is really disappointing Quality of recordings is good and design is very good Get the email working and I will give this 5 stars        Send to email not working

If you havent bought this yet then dont bother The developer clearly has no intent on optimizing the app for the newest iPhones until Apple forces them to do so The app looks like total crap on the iPhone 6 Plus and even though people have brought it to the developers attention They still wont optimize the app     Still Not Optimized for the iPhone 6 Plus

Its pretty solid but crashes on the new iPhone os when you try and upload to your Dropbox account Until they fix it if try something else        buggy on new iPhone os Fix
