"Reasoning is over-rated. In time, you will know an abnormal retina not because you reasoned your way to the answer, but because you have seen it before. When confronted by Grandma you don`t stop and ...
Fun fast way to brush up on what I should expect to see when I use the ophthalmoscope Had a couple lectures on this topic through med school but no formal training Its hard enough to learn to use the ophthalmoscope let alone figure out what to look for Perfect for the wards and outpatient family med Awesome study aid for the wards
Really like that this app gives u the option to view the diseased retina compare it to a normal retina and or highlight the areas which contain telling signs of the disease Also I like the fact that I can choose what to be quizzed on since Im not ready for everything in this app just yet This is definitely a helpful study aid My fav study aid for the retina
This app is an amazing and easy way to learn eye pathology It has great reference and quiz settings that allow you to learn the path and test yourself on retention It also has great features that highlight the important aspects of the pathology of each picture and allow you to compare it to what normal should look like Perfect app for board and clinical preparation Eye Pathology Made Easy
The application is great for understanding retinal pathologies The only thing I would like to see updated is the ability to zoom in on pictures Great application
After playing around on this app for 10 minutes I can say that I would definitely recommend this app to all my friends or anyone whos a medical student or any student in the health care professions and heres why Pros Ive never been able to see the whole retina with an ophthalmoscope due to patient noncompiance crappy instrument or maybe poor technique on my part The pictures in this app are amazing and show the whole retina It has good coverage of a variety of diseases seen not only in the real world but also frequently tested on the shelfs and step tests The program actually highlights the area of the retina you need to pay attention to and it also can switch to a normal retina so you can compare the two No need to desperately google anymore to find a picture of drusens or hollenhorst plaques Cons My main gripe with the program is that even though it highlights the important spots on an image it doesnt let you know which spot correlates to what finding so you have to actually go ahead and read the description to figure out what the pathology is Overall I would give it a 45 if iTunes had one due to the con mentioned above However I cant do that in iTunes and the program is really helpful and very unique so I gave it a 5 Great app for any medical students
Im a medical student studying for my boards and this app is handsdown one of the best study tools I have come across It is extremely helpful for learning all about opthalmology Amazing study tool
I start ophthalmology residency in six weeks and I was very impressed by this app The images are gorgeous and definitely classic I learned a few things just in browsing through some of them and reading the descriptions I like how the abnormal parts can be highlighted in the image if you choose I also appreciate the brief discussion on the specific findings in that image Cool quiz mode too My only wish is that there were more images but the basic and most important things any provider should be able to recognize are covered here A great learning tool MD
What a great app to help study and learn these important things Very nice Love it
I am an Optometrist and thought I could use this as a patient education tool Unfortunately it has too few pics and the normal retina picture appears to have glaucomatous optic nerve cupping Great idea Lack luster execution Only 24 pics
A great resource for brushing up on what to see inside the ophthalmoscope Good not only for board studying but for taking good care of patients Thanks for a great app Excellent
This app is sublEYEme EYE cant believe EYE didnt have this app before In all seriousness this is a solid app that runs smoothly and easy to use Would definitely reccommend The creator of this app is my EYEdol with innovative EYEdeas yes
Im a second year medical student and finding this app extremely helpful in learning the different pathologies of the eye Its nice because the format is very clean and everything is in one place Also just in time for studying for the USMLE Step 1 Highly recommended Great reference for medical students
Fantastic app to review ophthalmology topics I highly recommend this for anyone interested in learning about the eye Great writeups for each of the conditions Very clear pictures Student
As a medical student my education in the physical exam has been rather limited when it comes to the fundoscopy I have not encountered many patients with pathological findings and I have a difficult time learning the defining characteristics of a finding when I see if for the first time With iEye I can review the characteristic features of difficult diseases beforehand so that when I look at a patient I have a better idea of what Im looking for Since it is an iOS app I dont have to worry about lugging a heavy book around with me I can review fundoscopy whenever I have time for as long as my battery lasts Great application Convenient Review of the Retina
The developers have made a complicated subject easier to understand A welcome and impressive teaching aid Simple and Intuitive
The images on this app are amazing and clearly shows the points to take note of for each disorder I just wish there was more content in this app Useful App
Being a nonophthalmology resident who has many patients with ophthalmic complaints this app has turned out to actually be a huge help in brushing up and learning to recognize common retinal pathology The pictures are amazing and I think the truly best part of the app is that it highlights the points of interest on each image Looking forward to more apps like this in other aspects of medicine Eye can see
Finally an app to practice ophthalmology This will no doubt have value in both the didactic years and clinical years of medical school and even for the practicing physician Thank you Finally
