Im gonna make this short because i have tried to write this like 5 times but my nickname was either too long or has already been used so my review keeps getting deleted I love it because of its usefulness It is an extremely useful app that i use for many things The reason i hate it is because it glitches more than any other app i have seen It sometimes will crash and sometimes well actually most of the time it wont let me redo something i did So if i accidentally move something then i have to put it back in the same spot which can be so frustrating especially when it happens every 5 seconds           Love it but hate it

Beware This app is no good It does not work well on the touch screen Way too many options and features It just gets more and more confusing I am running it on a iPad Mini retina display I want my money back Its crashing unresponsive To touch input I couldnt get anything accomplished with this program Sad     No Good

Update The developer fixed all the issues that i had with the function of this app Thank you I am taking my rating down a star because the dimension tools still does not work properly and I complained about this six months agonothing was done I will put my star back if the developer fixes his bugs and takes care of his app Also to you other idiots posting terrible ripped off reviews grow a brain cell or two and open your eyes Your obliviously to stupid to use this app so walk away and shut your flapping lips My initial review This app appears to be unbelievable and amazing As of right now I would pay 50 for this app They have thought of just about everything and the placement of the tools is very well thought out I am excited to use this app for future estimating purposes The people who have given this app at least this new version a bad review are crazy They are either to dense to learn anything or theyre not smart enough to take the time to watch the tutorials and learn what the app can do I have purchased tons of apps and this is one of the best apps I have ever seen for only being a second version                 Wow Revised

I was looking for a respectable vector drawing app that runs on iOS OS X and support iCloud iDesign fits the bill quite nicely I am working on a number of projects and this app allows mr to work on them on iPhoneiPadMac Reasonable feature set                 Light weight app that works well on iPhone iPad Mac

This app is nice I took me a bit to get used to it but that was due to me since my graphics program is Visio There are a few lacking features that hamper a 5 star review 1 It does not allow you to store custom shapes and it will not let you copy a custom shape from one file to the next 2 When an object is copied it will only paste directly over the copied object This is not to bad unless you copy a group of objects then it gets a bit tricky impossible for me to move the group to the new location all in one move It is one piece at a time 3 You can not add pages to a file So you have to make a new file for the new page you want 4 It also crashes when to much data is selected to move or copy but I have not lost anything during those crashes Microsoft should hire these folk This app is nice and worth the cost if you want to design something instead of playing a game on your iPad           Good App but

Ive had the app for about 3 months There is a semi steepbut short learning curve for those of us who arent in the business of design I bought it to plan for a new home were building And I should say Im using only a fraction of its capabilities There are great demonstration videos and even more importantly when a question about file management arose turned out to be operator error I received a prompt email response to my query                 Great App Great Support

Some have given this bad reviews dont believe them This isnt angry birds so it takes more than 2 minutes to learn how to use it Its a potable drafting app and very good at what it does Ice had the app for about a year and its received updates which I found very helpful I would consider this app a real bargain for what it does Ive designed everything from playground equipment to floor layout for a kitchen remodel and my most frequent use is design work for off road vehicle parts and roll cages Everything can be scaled to actual size angles dimensions etc This app does more than I hoped for and has saved me tons of money on wasted material Spend a few minutes learning how to use it and Im sure you will love it as much as I do                 Awesome Portable drafting app

Ive been using Illustrator Freehand Photoshop CreatureHouse Expressionsnot as well known but still a personal favorite and other beziersplinenurbs programs professionally for 20 years Unless this app flat out implodes I will remain very impressed and happy with what I have seendone so far Im surprised at how the reviews can be so split On a touch screen it has to be a different mindset but I think an intelligent approach has been taken to the tools for use without a mouse and keyboard Read the manualdownload it from the web page if you want a preview Yes I would tweak it here and there but its already got plenty of power for my needs Which in this case are more leisurely but I still want control and results To the author get a trial version out Im happy I made the leap and chose this app and bought the addons too but it was down to a coin toss against another no trial app                 Finally

iPad 4 retina latest update to iDesign almost anything i try to do select an object delete an object editing an object results in an unresponsive program very frustrating i have to quit the application from the tray and restart and even then when the document i was working on automatically loads its unresponsive from the start the program is useless to me in its current form        crashes a lot

I use iDesign to plan woodworking projects It is very easy to use and any question Ive had has been answered by the excellent user manual available online The tool set is robust Highly recommended for any technical drawing                 Easy to use powerful tool set

This app was a total waste of money by far the worst Ive spent on the App Store I cant believe how difficult it is to find what and how to use the editorials Five dollars is not what its worth I wish I wouldnt of got it     HORRIBLE

Feature rich and easy to use It took about 15min of exploration to figure out how to use the app without referring to the manual It hasnt crashed on my iPhone 6                 Brilliant

I got this on a lark but love it I am used to 2D design programs like Canvas and find the shift to touchpad w iDesign to be easy and intuitive That said you have to work at 2D a bit before you can call any program intuitive It takes a while to learn the icons and what you can do in different parts of any design program Once you are familiar with one its much simpler to transfer those skills to another provided they work in generally the same way After an hour of fiddling I liked what I did enough to print it out Im not sure if these are limitations of the app or I just havent found out how yet but some things I notice In addition to 30 standards you can customize colors plus transparency but only get five presets of custom colors at a given time You can overwrite them butI could use more especially because theres no eyedropper to sample and adjust a color If you want to tweak a given color you have to start from scratch unless you still have the presets Selecting objects to group can be tetchy If you have a lot of overlaps its best to use layers which I dont generally do You drag a box to select but you cant shiftdrag to add another or to unselect one Text controls are basic no kerning or leading or styles unless they are part of your font package Limited fonts Actually a limit of the device not the app I have only five fonts and I dont yet know how to add them to the iPad I have to figure out how to add my most used ten or so then Ill be golden No import of photos but most graphics programs dont do this Still its sometimes useful to trace off a jpeg or incorporate it into an ad or poster Im not saying the app should do all these things Its good just as it is and Swiss Army Knife programs can be cumbersome and have a steeper learning curve Im a designer and I do some sophisticated work Im thrilled to have such an easy and flexible extension to my iPad I will use it for everything from drawing conditions onsite to ads and posters for my wifes restaurant to noodling on ideas all the way to design drawings with limitations when Im traveling A desktop program is deeper and larger and more detailed and would be my first choice for large tricky or complicated work but this is a lot of fun and Im sure I can do a lot with it just as it is Its compatible with the iPhone so I can show things on the go even if the screen is too small for comfort                 Love It

This app would be great but you cant make a square represent an inch and the subsequent quadrant represent a foot Its absurd How are you supposed to do precise measurements and mock ups if you cant divide your work space they way you want it This seems like such a simple fix too but the developer didnt seem interested solving what seems like a very important problem for his precise app Absolute misrepresentation for American customers     Not Precise For US Measurements

Very hard to use and not intuitive The controls are not descriptive and touch does not work well more frustration than its worth     Dont buy

I tried about ten mostly paid apps for editable pathbased drawing and this was the only serious app being way more sophisticated and cleanly laid out than the others despite its lack of regular updates Theres a steep learning curve as you discover how the big detailed settingscommands window that floats over your imagery works Seemingly missing from the online manual from the web site was the simple ability to select two adjacent control points by just clicking the curve section between them The option to include offset handles lets me manually align edits on a tiny iPhone without my finger blocking the center of action Just WOW The interface now strikes me as being ingenious I havent figured out a kludge for the missing rectangularpolar array command To access the seemingly missing Cut command evidently needed to change the layer of an existing object I am first making a copy and then using the delete command before pasting into a different active layer Request in between the existing nudge arrows also fit rotate buttons that I can double click to adjust the degree increment Tip you can both rotate and move and scale within a single selection by tapping back out of the rotate mode with a tap on one of the four rescale circles so you can once again drag the object around I design jewelry these days on paper but dynamically editable shapes are what this program now also offers me on the fly and when I am crashing in bed nearly asleep when the last thing I want to do is turn on a light and search for my notebook Serious bug odd dynamic rescaling of existing forms kicks in whenever I turn on Continuous Insert mode in order to very rapidly sketch a bunch of line segments UPDATE Now fixed in update Missing feature locking aspect ratio doesnt work for images so I cant do page layout              Serious program finally

Frustrating to say the least Hoping to have a quick vector drawing solution for my iPad when out and about Not with this thing sometimes it works sometimes it completely crashes When I reopen it the drawing is completely destroyed Drawing looks like a three year old got a hold of it Not happy     Not happy

First off Lets be realistic about our expectations of what can be done on these mobile devices I believe the developers have done a wonderful job with such a complicated vectorbased drawing App Can it replace your computerbased CAD software No But what it can doon a small screen mobile device is very impressive It can use a few more drawing capabilities and file saving formats But it is new and I am sure the developers will expand upon their efforts At the price this is selling for I cant see why anyone would give this a bad rating I found the software to be very intuitive however you have to have some CAD experience under your belt first I highly recommend this app              Wow Is not good enough Fantastic is

The worst 799 I ever spent It keeps crashing App is great until youve drafted something and in the middle of your drawing it crashes and looses all the programming notes such as undos copy paste and oh yea it locks your drawing so you cant even fix it What does it take for someone to actually create a working iPad drafting program Stay Away     STAY AWAY

Crashing with new iPhone 6 plus a lot I really liked this application a lot on my old iPhone The updated application however seems to be very unstable with the new iOS and phone Crashes very often especially when I change the orientation zoom I will wait for an update to try using again meanwhile I will look for another application to use           Unstable

Best caddesign app available on the iPadiPhone Setup options are easy as are unit options Printouts are accurate to scale which I have seldom seen in iPad caddesign apps I have purchased Developer responses are prompt and accurate Have utilized PC based cad programs for years and this is a worthy iPad 2d app A must buy for the money                 Extensive options

There are a lot of precise settings and options but it is very hard to work with Controls are not easy to access making complex designing inefficient Touch to draw is not responsive it often mistakes my motions to pull the board around instead of draw a shape           Powerful but Unintuitive

This is an excellent drafting 2DCAD app It allows you to use your iPad for design work that not too long ago would have required a laptop or desktop computer The designer has done a great job introducing clever UI user interface elements to enhance accuracy and improve productivity This is important because after all you are drawing with just your fingers or a stylus that is no more accurate than a finger The manual is thorough and complete and should be read by anyone interested in making this program work for them                 Excellent 2D CADDrafting

Will not save locally or to the web I would have given 5 stars But its useless You can work on it for days But close the app and your designs are GONE Save your money     Cant saveloses all work

The menu tags are overwritten making saving opening and resizing a drawing impossible Please fix it Luckily I reverted to an old version and it works alright        Menu overwritten

It cannot import SVGs or even PDFs it can only import its proprietary idesign format Therefore it is absolutely useless and a waste of my money     There is no option to import

Thank you for you continued support I use vector drawing program illustrator daily and would like to wedge this into my AFK workflow One thing about adobes products is that they have the classroom in a book series to help learn new features and how to apply them as well as the basics for those new to the program If their was a paid add on that had examples as well as text for learning that was really worthwhile this app could set itself apart from the rest of the pack Either way for the reviewers that have time to learn the program enjoy              Classroom in an app

Tone down all the shadows in the UI and the logo It makes the app look bad but its actually fullfeatured and fast                 Very good Needs a UI refresh

This is my goto vector drawing app It has a nice set of features is easy to use exports in multiple formats to dropbox et al In short I really like this app I wrote this review to counter the bad ones I read This is a good app and deserves a better rating                 Love this app

When I was thinking about buying this app I had my doubts but I can honestly say that this was worth every penny Its extremely precise and easy to use Not only does it get the job done but it does it very well This is multipurpose and youll find yourself using it for many things Other reviews talk about some bugs but they have been fixed in the update I would recommend this to a friend Its everything advertised and more                 Very Precise

I had researched Intensively over the last week and have bought about 6 different apps ranging from 4991999 and so far this one gets as close to a cad system which i use daily and making vector art that I have used It takes a little to get used to and I wish every app I bought and tried had a hovering help box to tell you what each button is but with every softwareyou need to read the tutorial or watch their videostake that little bit of time and it pays off I have made the new vector logo for our new ice hockey jerseys and found iDesign to be the fastest when you have to copy over an image All the other softwares that say they auto vectorand I found out the hard waydo not come close to vector magic found online which did NOT work for this art I am doing when you have an intricate design is lacking in some text manipulationwrapping text around a path Either that or allow the software to import already finished vector art via Dropbox or iCloud there are other apps that do text wrappingsort of But the app writers have got back to me within minutes hours of any questions I submitted via email about this and they added it to their list of things to add That is service              nice App

Get this app It is hands down the best it is amazing I draw all kinds of cabinets on my iPad with this app China hutches bathroom vanities you name it Maybe it is because it is the only drafting program that I have on my iPad but this app has an amazing amount of tools When I first got it I thought that the sample Mini Cooper drawing was not possible to draw It is I have drawn a fireplace mantel with a ornate onlay in the middle in no time flat One thing that helped was to go to their website and download their manual into Goodreader Now when I have a question I can flip to that                 Cabinetmaker

This program has potential but it is buggy It is an ambitious program and i guess the creators should be given credit for thatBut too many of the basics are not ready for prime time and need to be worked out for basic usability and stability As previous reviews noted it does crash too often and also freezes up too easily And it is too hard to do simple things like select or add points to editAlso the dialogue boxes for settings go right in front of the drawing so you have to guess what change will look like All in all for a program more expensive than most it needs more work before it is worth a purchase        Ambitious but too many bugs and needless complexity

This is one great app for 2D vector drawing on an iPad If you are familiar with basic CAD programs or drawing programs like Illustrator or Inkscape iDesign will not disappoint you The basic cost is so low and the addons worth every penny I have used this to create plans for various objects and they printed exactly to scale I also like the fact that you can import files from other programs and tweek them in comfort on your iPad wherever you happen to be Another plus is that their customer service response to questions or problems is fast and courteous                 One great app

Great app I have been using vector drawing tools on the MacIntosh since the 1990s from the original Macdraw up to the very powerfull EasyDraw and I feel that iDesign carries this tradition on to the iPad quite remarkably The look and feel of iDesign is an excellent implementation of a vector graphical multitouch interface The learning curve for this tool is rather short for the large set of features available Very well done                 iDesign
