This is the first review I have ever filled out This app is terrible Complete waste of money Coin prices are very inaccurate Please do not waste your money I wish I hadnt     Do not buy

The latest update wiped out all of my saved coin data It also crashes constantly I can add an item click the My Collection button and the app will crash Every time I liked the app before this new version back when it worked Very disappointing     Bad update

This is the absolute best app for coin collecting that is on the App Store If you want to record your collection and be able to appraise your coins then do it here                 Awesome App

This new verision is fantstic I have had this app since it was first introduced I have beeen the envy at my coin club I ue it constantly when comparing coins on auction sites at flea markets or with dealers It has also helped with accessing approximate value for customers Much easier than carrying around books grey sheets or magazines                 A must for any collector

This is the first us coin app I have tried and it is very good I have not checked the values to other apps but I am very impressed with the app and ability to add my collection The graphics are right on and I found all of my coins It is worth every penny                 Very impressed

Ive used this app for a couple years on my 1st generation iPad with no issues but now that I have the iPad mini I cannot even open the app without it crashing I am hopeful that they will release a fix soon since I have new coins to add to my collection     What happened to this app

Tried this app and I like it Its an easy way to catalog a coin collection I had a very fast response to an emailed question I would like to see a picture of the coin being viewed in my collection I was told there will be an update for the gold Buffalos I hope to be able to enter an ultra high relief 20 coin from 2009 also Thanks The commemorative coin app is a good app too Dutchdirk                 Nice App

this app doesnt point out any rare coins I also compared some prices it listed with some I found on the internet that had HUGE differences Dont waste your money on this I wish I had my money back     Pathetic app

This could be a great program and maybe it will be But right now it has a lot of bugs and missing features By the way if I didnt think this app could potentially be very useful I would not take the time to provide this detail 1 Lots of missing common varieties especially older coins such as 2 and 3 cent pieces with small and large motto open and closed 3 2 In some cases notably proof and mint sets when you select a variety it does not carry forward to the collection page For example for 1992 I enter Proof which displays correctly as proof Prestige proof displays as proof large date silver proof display as proof five pieces premier proof displays as proof 3 When you delete a coin it should stay in the same denomination of your collection 4 If you could edit the grade and the coin type you wouldnt have to delete after simple typos 5 Ive entered perhaps 150 or 200 coins and I find it is getting pretty slow alreadyperhaps 68 seconds to switch from my collection to want list I have several thousand coinsI am afraid this app will not be acceptable when I enter anywhere near that many Can you lease index your database to improve performance 6 I have had the App crash twice in entering a couple hundred coins Not great but not as bad as I feared from other reviews 7 Would be nice to see the collection formatted on a grid much like the export file This would be particularly useful for want list viewing at a show for example 8 It would be nice to add several fields to the database including who it is purchased from sale date sale amount location or subcollection or the like Also adding a sold section to supplement my collection and want list would be helpful 9 Ooops I was wrong the output is tab delimited and easy to import virtually anywhere I havent tried importing the list file to anything yet but since it is not delimited nor quoted the free form description field in the middle of the record is going to make it a little tricky especially since I have to use the descrtion for things like variety seller name and grade in some cases where you do not provide enough options 10 Should be able to enter any valid grade 11 Totals and subtotals price value and number of coins by denomination or even down to the type eg Indian Head cent would be useful 12 A collection overview page showing an overall summery by coin type number of coins price value would be helpful 13 Not sure what to expect when the values are updatedit would be nice of a history were maintained I assume the values will be updated at some point 14 no visual feedback when you hit something that might take awhile such as switching to want list view And to make it worse it queues up key hits so you end up right back where you started if you hit it a second time 15 No print support 16 No way to save or restore a database not access more than one database for large collections or multiple collections 17 and something really trivialwhile the splash screen is attractive it sire seems like it stays there much longer than necessary For 10 I would expect most of these features though some I would even be willing to pay extra for I look forward to having some of these resolved in an update soon and the rating will go way up        Almost a very good program

Items Needed 1 Need to add coins manually for the ones that arent included 2 Need to have a way on My Collection to show only a particular set of coins instead of all the coins of that denomination or just say ALL Example Dollar CoinsSusan Anthony Sacagawea or Presidential etc etc also to show only certain mint marks or ALL 3 Would like to edit a coin rather than deleting it and adding again 4 On coins owned it would be nice to see the coins picture when you highlight the coin           Needs otther options

I worked with the application about a month checking its features on the free version before purchasing the entire app The product does what is described but with some additions would be a must have application for coin collectors Some helpful suggestion 1 Add ability for the owner to update the price of silver gold copper so the value of any coin is no less than its metal content The database would need to recalculate based on those values 2 Add ability to add a coin without a program update deleting the addition so that varieties or special coins could be added 3 Add ability to select subsets within denominations For example Indian head pennies vs Lincoln Presidental Dollars vs Sacagewea etc 4 Consider an import file format that cold be used by users of PC software to import their data to iCoin Overall I like the program and hope to see it evolve              Good App with Excellent Potential

This app is not functional at all Tapping the coin indicated or any operation does not work I feel cheated     Ripoff

This is a great app very well planed it does everything it describes I think that with a few add ons this app can be a great collection managing tool Its worth the price It would be great if the lost of coins could be sorted so it would be easier to manage it                 Great app

As a newer collector I really like this app Very intuitive to use and helped me better understand how to grade the coins in my collection Also grading is specific to each coin and the notes are specific to each coin as well for example if you look at an Indian Head penny the grading guides you through the specific details around wear of the feathers or the cheek bones This app is a good app for collectors who have coins that have a collectible value good database to track these coins and determine a rough value of your collection good way to look up pricing and capture a shopping list for coins that you want to buy has a great database with a lot more US coins than i was aware of existing This app isnt at least not yet a way to track coins that would still be considered face value or have little collectible value dont use this to track your circulated lincoln penny collection i would love to see improvements for this as i collect both for fun i do have a lincoln cent collection and for investment one stop shop for all of your coins commemoratives arent here thats a different app and some sets arent included uncirculated mint sets for example i would pay extra on an inapp purchase to add the commemoratives but id rather not use two apps Overall its a good app Try the free version and play around with it to get a feel for what it cancant do It is complete for a few denominations If you dont think the free one will do what you want then stay away but if like me you thought it was worthwhile take the dive Its worth the ten bucks to me especially if they keep coming with the updates              Good app but try free first so you know what you are getting

As a relative novice in coins and grading I found this app a potentially easy way to inventory a relatives collection The details and photos showing details about the differences in each grade were helpful That said there are some problems that really annoyed me The most major was the frequent crashes when entering coins into the collection Additionally there were quite a few specialty coins not listed in the database I can only hope the database gets expanded soon As to things I hope the developer will add ability to enter coins manually that arent listed the ability to change grade of coins in the collection some indication of when the latest values for coins where updated Overall lots of potential and a great start           A good start
