It is a very good set of scanned maps from the public domain ie not under copyright especially for the price but many maps are in subgroups that do not reveal the content of the maps in the subgroup such as the The Public Schools Historical Atlas A searchable index just of the words in the titles of all the maps would be a great help I am not suggesting an index of every place name on every map just an index of the title words I would like to see the famous mid18th century Nolli map of Rome on the iPhone That map however is so large and detailed that it probably would have to be a separate app Very Good But Needs a Searchable Index of Title Words

Very slow to download SLOW

These maps are not organized There is no way to find a specific one without having to browse through the whole lot NOT HELPFUL A waste of money And theyre old and inadequatemwhat a ripoff Patheticjust a bunch of maps

Nice concept I found no problem with the maps Like to see more ancient maps of Rome But the real problem is that the maps load really really really slowly and one tile at a time Would love maybe two resolutions for the maps and faster renderings Good but way too slow

What can I say I have now collected 7 of these maps and they are fabulous Yes while some are more massive than others they all possess an equal depth of research and centuries of data The maps zoom to crisp clear images Support There was a bug affecting the maps in the last update I put a notice on the developers web site and in 3 weeks all maps had been corrected The price is a bit steep but for those needing this data its far worth it Hey Im just an aficionado and Im more than happy with them Updates add even more maps Great work A Perfect Marriage of History and Cartography

Very very nice app well worth the investment I purchased for Biblical studies and have found it very useful App runs very smoothly on iPad 3 Have not tried running it on earlier generation iPads so unable to compare performance Excellent
