This is the worst messaging app I have ever used It crashes constantly and then doesnt let me log in until I delete and reinstall it Terrible     Terrible app

Wow All I gotta say is GREAT APP These developers really know what theyre doing over there Now I can keep in contact with all my college friends and colleagues and have fun doing so Its a must have                 Engineer

Fine when it works but frequently wont connect to server and show messages Sometimes pulling to refresh wakes it up        Often wont connect

Compared to Slack this app and all of the hipchat core is in the stone age Disappointing from a company that usually makes decent products        A disappointing experience

Im shocked when it DOES work Usually it just freezes     Useless

Somehow the mobile version is slower and worse than the desktop version Push notifications dont work and it crashes half the time Not worth downloading     Awful

I regularly find myself uninstalling this app when I am not at work Although I sign out my phone still receives notifications alerts from HipChat How could I be receiving alerts if I am supposedly signed out I understand there are additional challenges when designing a mobile app but some fundamental functionality is really lacking Do Better     Laughable

Unfortunately this app is the only way to get hipchat on the phone It has so many problems 1 It shows hundreds of messages in the badge even though Ive only got one new one 2 When notifications come in I open the app and there is no indication of who its from I have to guess or remember which conversation it was 3 It is soooo slow Many times message writing is so unresponsive it takes several seconds for each character to appear 4 Sometimes I try to type a message but the message area is behind the keyboard and I cant see the message nor click send 5 Sometimes conversations do a user dont load It just looks blank 6 I cannot control the order of the peoplerooms Basically its a really poor representation of the service and sadly the app is the only way to access hipchat on iPhone I have an iPhone 4s with os7 I have no problems with any other app Ill have to delete this and tell my work buddies to just email me     So many problems

Sometimes when you enter the app the send button is grayed out and you dont know why Apparently another person is online who just sent you a message and you have typed a long conversation The send button is still grayed Interesting to see an IM app that you cannot send message     You cannot chat

This app barely works It never shows open conversations completely hangs at times takes a minute or so to load a conversation and then sometimes just completely stops working     Horrible Slow App

I cant use this app without an account but there is no option to make one     no option to register

If I ever leave the office and forget the hipchat desktop client running then I dont get notifications on my phone They really need to work that out I understand that this is done to prevent annoying double notifications when youre on your computer Perhaps add an option to enable notifications to both Or create a time out when desktop is idlein screensaver then send notifications to mobile        No notifications to phone if logged onto desktop

Overall its good but I noticed couple of time crashes When I get new message on my iPhone 6 when I want to view it crashes once I open              Crash

Not what youd expect from Atlassian The desktop Mac app is night and day with this mobile app It feels so clunky and not like an intuitive native app Notifications are still a mess Come on guys you can do better than this The Hall iOS app was amazing Please just take the Hall app and slap your logo on it Hall worked smooth intuitive was fun and loaded messages instantly        Needs a lot of work

Apple Watch app is not working fine It does not send replies at all        Apple Watch does not send replies

This is honestly the worst app Ive had to use If I didnt need it for work I would delete it in a heartbeat It is absurdly slow to load and super laggy to type on It can take five minutes from opening the app to being able to even be able to start typing out a message and then youre looking at another couple minutes as it slowly thinks about each and every letter Additionally actually receiving notifications is a complete game of chance sometimes you will sometimes you wont Only way to ensure receipt is by keeping the app open and your phone on 247 which is clearly not at all possible Allinall terrible product whose only redeeming factor are the customizable emojis     Worst App On My Phone

This app doesnt work at all I have 3 teams tried accessing all of them unsuccessfully Sad     Doesnt work

Notifications from this app to iOS are completely pointless When this app has a badge you open it and cant tell which room the notifications are from So it becomes an Easter egg hunt to find where the message is           Notifications need work

The most recent update is causing the app to run extremely slow It is not very responsive and locks up at times Reinstalling did not seem to help     Latest update issues

Notifications are spotty activating a notification doesnt take you to the conversation Takes forever to connect on wifi or LTE Its easier for me to text my reply     Takes forever to connect

I love hipchat both this app and the desktop and web client versions They work so intuitively and exactly as I expect                 Hipchat is great

Just call it Crash App Because thats all it does Especially when loading from a notification in lock screen or notification center Takes forever to load You are better off using an XMMP client to log into your hip chat account     Buggier than a termite infested log

This app is pretty bad Most of the time it wont connect or login even if Im on wifi     Wont even connect half the time

Could not set app to connect to my companys server before logging in and so couldnt use This app is worthless     Categorically Useless

Desktop client is great but too bad for those of you who step away from your desk There are threads on the support forum that have gone ignored for over a year asking about broken push capabilities get it together This seems like a pretty simple fix and oh a REALLY IMPORTANT FIX CONSIDERING THIS IS A MESSAGING APP     Maddening app

This is the worst app Ive ever used It freezes and crashes every time I use it Its made my phone crash and reboot Dont even bother trying to use this Dont even use HipChat at all there are many great alternatives like Slack or a carrier pigeon or never using a computer again Please fix this this app is just pathetic     Just horrible

Very surprised at the low quality of this app as many of Atlassians other products BitBucket Jira are good Randomly cant connect and tapping to retry does nothing Randomly wont log in but no error dialog appears to tell you why Swiping a push notification does not take you to the channel or 1on1 message where you received the notification Will sometimes fail to notify you of new messages even 1on1 messages And too many more problems to list     Terrible app

I logged in and the app is totally unresponsive Desktop app is great this is just a sad useless version of that None of the buttons or text fields respond to my touch after logging in It even asks to save my pass in 1Password which I dont even have After force killing my rooms showed up but after tapping a room the app just freezes No loading indicator and nothing happens Complete garbage app Embarrassing that atlassian put their name on this Days after logging off the app is still sending me push notifications leaking confidential information Its clear there is no quality bar in the HipChat org since its insecure and incredibly unreliable     Useless Security Risk

Biggest gripe getting notifications for messages go into app no where does it tell me where the messages are No number next to the chat room or PM Nothing        Works but not well enough

Hipchat on IPad is worse than useless Dont bother even bother downloading     Doesnt work

Once you open the app any indication of who new messages are from disappears completely making it all but impossible to locate the conversations with new messages Most of the time trying to load a conversation freezes the app entirely for several minutes Its almost laughable how bad this app is     Rubbish

Not sure why there are complaints after dling the app and restarting my phone which should be done after installing any app HipChat works seamlessly I just started using HC with my company and so far its been great                 Works perfectly

Please fix the notifications It shows up but you have no idea who messaged you When you are communicating with 40 people and 10 rooms its challenging to find out where that message came from           Great tool flaw in iOS app

I bought Atlasssian products in order for my team collaboration However when i configure it send notification about status updates for jira it sends notification but i cannot open it in internal browser     Jira Confluence integration really horrible

App hangs repeatedly with no indication of what its doing Several 23 app opens and closes required before content appears Causes frequent lockups and has once required a full phone reboot Memory footprint is huge for a simple chatroom app This is a clear indication of how little the publisher cares about quality I would have expected a rigorous sqa team behind this app given how much they charge for corporate licenses Improve immediately or be replaced     Abysmally broken and shoddy piece of work

There is apparently no way to register straight from my mobile device iPad As someone who needs a primarily mobile platform this is an immediate dealbreaker I find it hard to believe that such an essential feature has not been included           Deleted Almost Immediately Because of Missing Feature

Can you implement message editing Thats the most irritating thing compared to Skype           Could be better

HipChat has long been the best team messaging client for the desktop web and even the iOS client                 simply the best

Some reviews on the iPhone app seem overly harsh This is not that terrible of an app people It gets the job done I can message people without issue The notifications work great doesnt show me notifications if Im on my computerdoes otherwise There are a few quirks here and there but overall if youre a HipChat user youll be happy with the iPhone app              Gets the job done
