I love Mike Johnston as a teacher and I love his attitude towards developing as a player This app is a great way to get there Of course you have to pay for what you want to practice but any book does that This is so much more efficient as you can actually interact with the music If you re playing Rock or Funk Latin or Swing it s amazing how you can change the levels of the drums and cymbals to make things more authentic challenging you technically to play it and even more musically To play a funk beat and have it sound like a funk beat are two totally different things but this app will help you get there The layout of the program s fine you can find what you need to but the benefits of using this are priceless It s the best tool I ve come across so far                     Great in Theory Great in Practice Atlas197

The groove freedom method of practice has been brought to my attention before but never in such a clear and tangible way The UI of the app is flawless and glues your attention to the content It allows you to stay focused which I think is very important during practice Each chapter has several grooves to master your freedom in I am still in the first chapter and I feel like it has incredible flow The app forces repetition on you until you hit stop and makes even the hardest grooves easy to understand With the integrated metronome volume control isolated limb measures and other features it doesn t take long to overcome a challenge The app sets goals for you tracks your practice history and even allows you to rate your own practice session and share the data on social media Overall I think this is a fantastic app It is going to push me to another level of skill and I can already feel it                     A must have for learning drummers of every skill level Tetris93

This is the most useful app I have come across It does exactly what the name says develops your ability to free enough to play most grooves and make creative variations All we need is a 6 8 section and a jazz section and it ll be epic After that mike you can start making solo freedom for us haha Great app thanks                     Great tool Larry5342118
