Good Sam Roadside Assistance

Blew a tire on our 35 ft motorhome on I10 near Tallahassee Ninety minutes later I had a new tire mounted and we were on our way The app auto dialed my phone and sent our GPS location Could not have expected more                 GS Roadside was Great for Us

Generally a functional app but far from perfect Does not have a very robust vehicle database Ie would not let me enter my 2008 Chrysler Aspen as the Aspen was not one of the predefined choices Also model names it uses for some motorhomes are confusing and inaccurate Not sure why they excluded the iPad but this should be corrected as well Great idea that should be very handy once the app is improved           Good but could be better

I didnt have any trouble registering But entering vehicles was most difficult as others have said Version 13 still forces you to select from dropdown lists that are not and will never be accurate Other and let you fill it in would be more helpful than just nothing if your vehicle happens not to match what they list My 2003 Dutchmen 28SRV 30 long they insist is a 29SRV and 31 long so I just went with that They wont allow a HarleyDavidson TriGlide trike so I just chose Electra Glide I have 2 cars and 2 motorcycles but they limit your vehicles to 3 only guess I have to sell my wifes Sebring Finally I cant register my trailered boat an RV because Larson isnt a choice either Why make it so much more difficult than necessary Sam           Doing it the hard way

I was able to download the app on a 4s and was able to register my membership that was purchased through a dealer Hope I never have to use this service                 App review

Followed instructions explicitly failed to register every attempt Is there an iPhone 5 ver 612 incompatibility     Registration Issue

Wont hold my registration info Any idea how frustrating that is when youre along side the freeway with a flat tire in 100 degree heat     Fit it

Not sure if the app was at fault or the customer service rep After having a flat tire on my fifth wheel on I40 in New Mexico just west of Santa Rosa I used the app to contact Good Sam Roadside Service The app supposedly uses the phones GPS to let them locate your vehicle and send information as to what service you need etc None the less I was still asked for all of this information including my location No big deal but the icing on the cake was when the rep told the service company I was at mile marker 342 instead of 243 where I clearly told her I was After about 30 minutes a service company in Tucumcari called to verify my location After finding I wasnt where they were told the dispatcher said it would be 15 to 2 hours for them to get there They also said there are companies in Santa Rosa that should have been called and volunteered to call Good Sam on my behalf I dont know if that happened but after a few minutes I called back to Good Sam The rep I talked to insisted the company in Tucumcari was the only one available and then started making other excuses I finally became fedup and told her forget it Ill just do it myself The only reason I had called was because of being on the side of a busy interstate highway and felt the roadside service would be safer    

App installed OK through Apple Have used road service not thru App and it was outstanding The App leaves a lot to be desired Im assuming it is in its infantcy If not them they need to go to the local high school and get a techie kid 1 GSs has 2 membership s which do you enter It should be specific 2 Model While it had the Model Name the Model was not there so I had to pick the closest to be able to continue registering 3 Does not allow an option to enter your model which would benefit them because who wants an APP that is all fluff and no stuff 4 Why ask for your name and phone Enter your membership and it should all tie together 5 I took the time to write this because I assume someone at GSs actually monitors the feedback        App Install

I down loaded it and had no problems with it at allIt appears they have worked out a lot of the bugs Now I dont have to worry about losing my Card its all in my phone now ThanksGood Sams                 No problems works fine

I attempted several times and deleted the app twice and still no luck in registering Do not recommend this app until they get it working correctly     App registration not working

Took several attempts to get it to register my account had to unistall and then reinstall several times Vehicle information is outdated Tried to register my 2016 Winnebago Latitude 36RK 5th Wheel and the Latitude only shows up if you put in 2014 or earlier To enter a Ford F450 Super Duty had to select Ford Medium Duty as manufacturer instead of just being able to use FORD     Needs Lots of Work

Keeps stating information is incorrect Cant go any further so this app is worthless to me     Unable to register

I tried many times over several months to register this app even call the 800 number and talked to a real person that verified my information said that I should try again on a few minutes I think just to get me off the line That was weeks ago and it still does not work     No Good

Ive never written a review before but this one really upset me Good Sam Roadside Service is GREATthis is not what I would expect from them 1 My RV was built by Tiffin a major mfgr that is not listed in data base 2 My Jeep Grand Cherokee is listed as a Jeep Truck 3 My Ford Club Wagon Van is listed as a Ford Truck 4 I can only list 3 vehicles An immediate call to their Customer Service to report the oversighterrors basically got me blow off     Read this before wasting your time

Should have availability of at least 4 vehicles since dependent children are covered Thus us the reason I switched from AAA to GS        Lacking

I am a life member of the good salmon or we club And in my humble opinion this app is in serious need of revision When entering registration in formation about my vehicle The engine field blows off the entire application When attempting to register my information in the application I placed the information on my name as it appeared on my membership card Upon completing the laborious barrage of silly questions from the customer service representative and doing 2 to 3 repeats on the specifics of my situation we determined the information he had for my first name was different than what they had printed on the registration card This was corrected and upon my insistence new registration cards with the correct information will be emailed to me expeditiously This app still needs a lot of work My opinion is underscored by the same Commanchee in the other various reviews Fix it     In need of revision

I am unable to load my RVs information Every time I get to the engine information the Ap shuts down This looks like it has potential but needs to be stable     Ap kicks out EVERY time

You have to be sure to enter your information correctly Also I found some if the items didnt work but contacted customer service and all is well now Dont give up it works just fine                 Great app and customer service

Was so happy with the road side assistance using the app that decided to give another feedbackgood support from the app saved my 5 mins of call And goodsam serviice was good                 Successful assistance

So far so good but I cant enter my 5th wheel info because Heartland Rvs is not listed under 2012 It is under 2011 though Please update I will review again later when I can enter all my info              More Manufacturers needed

The vehicles part of the app is certainly no help Didnt have my first RV model I got a new one from fairly large manufacturer Didnt have that one and its a 2013 Definitely not up to Good Sam standards     Not much help

I added cars motorcycle and motorhome and they were accepted but when I came back later and clicked the vehicle button none of them show up The system knows they are there because it wont permit them to be reentered Please Fix        Where are my vehicles

Can add my truck but unable to add my fifth wheel When I enter my fifth wheel information and press save the app crashes and the information is not saved        App needs work

Come on no iPad support You have be kidding Most apps that do not have a specific version for the iPad at least run on the iPad Sorry I wasted my time     No iPad

Yes you read that right That is what the customer service just told me Im a legitimate Good Sam customer but it will not accept my information Dont bother with this app and I think the App Store should remove it     Does not work with Good Sam Roadside Assistance service

I have to agree with others that the app needs to mature a bit I had to select the Suzuki truck option to find my XL7 A lot of vehicles may be on the manufacturers light truck frame but arent considered a truck by most people Even the big SUVs arent a truck as commonly defined Certainly not my XL7 which is on a Unibody frame that doesnt allow me to use a weightdistributing hitch ALSO why the limit of one towable Ive got a 5th wheel AND a folding camper Do I need to update the app depending on which one Im towing What if Im on a special outing and have both on the road           Needs to mature

I tried the enter my car info and found that according to Good Sam Honda only makes FOUR models of car There needs to be a space where you can manually enter this if the info is missing        Needs updated

Considering the full timers tend to be older and needwant a larger screen to use why would this not work on the iPad as well Didnt even see another version for the iPad Even if the rest of the app was perfect it would lose two stars due to not including the iPad support Im with the others Its pretty difficult to get vehicles added if they arent all there in some logical pattern           No iPad support

App worked fine once I figured out that it put my name in all CAPS I used proper upper and lower case and didnt put any spaces in the phone number and it worked              RV Owner

The description makes it look like you could use this app as a regular member to contact roadside assistance but pay all associated fees Wrong if you are not a roadside assistance member it does nothing you cant log in     Unusable 4 general members

Need to update or correct the 2013 manufacture RV list when adding vehicles           Very limited RV models for 2013

After reading all the negative reviews wont bother to try and log in to this app any longer but when I called Good Sam to try and figure out why the app wasnt accepting our membership number they told me that memberships sold by dealers instead of direct from Good Sam wont work with the app The app is only available to those who buy their membership directly from Good Sam dealer numbers wont work The agent we spoke with named Ehi was difficult to understand but he was very clear that memberships bought from a dealer will not work with the app Just use your phone and call them when needed     Beware buying membership from dealer

I just downloaded The Good Sam roadservice app and found a glitch when adding a truck camper It asks for an engine Mfg and location which it obviously doesnt have and it would go no further until I entered one I thought I would be a good customer and let them know about the glitch The customer rep was very nice and put me on hold to let her internet tech know about it His or Her response was that is insignificant They just want to know about the units with engines So why then is the truck camper even a selection And they wonder why they are getting bad reviews           Insignificant

My motorhome maker is not listed and therefore I can not complete the setup There is no work around the drop down box that contains the names of RV manufacturers Mine is Thor and Thor is one of the largest makers of RVs Interesting Seems like a nice app but Ill never know because I can complete the setup     RV not listed
