Geocaching with Geosphere

Love Geosphere Use it more and more Lots of great features                 Great app

This geocaching application is great Overall it beats the official geocaching program You really need a Geocaching premium account to use it but in my case I already do The interface is very easy to use I like that you can easily switch fromto the cache you are looking for This is well worth the price The program has a lot of features I have used this for a year and a half and hardly pick up my Garmin or open the official app With direct access to database I may never open the official app again                 The one geocaching App that tops all others

I have been using the official geocaching app for some time and have been happy with it I had heard of geosphere via the GeoGearHeads podcast and decided to give it a try Wow Im sold This does everything I need and want from a geocaching app Kudos to the developer As a developer myself I have some appreciation in what went in to making this app You guys rock I cant imaging switching to anything else This app does it all for me It was worth every penny I spent on it I cant recommend this highly enough                 Wonderful geocaching app

Hands down this is the best Geocaching app out there Read the other reviews It has just about everything you need and keeps getting upgraded The only thing I can think of to request is a feature to average xxx GPS readings and record the results to help place a cache I should look around to see if thats been added recently too                 Definitely the best Geocaching app

This app is awesome I dont have premium so I use it in conjunction with the official app Its great for the uploads photos and ease in scoring those smileys Love it                 Geocaching Machine

Does everything that the official Groundspeak app does and more Easily use Google or Apple maps to get turnbyturn directions to a cache Lots of other small features that Groundspeak doesnt have For example you can see a symbol for the most recent logs Tells you at a glance on the summary page of the last 5 logs were found DNF or archive I doubt Ill ever use the Groundspeak app again                 Beats the Groundspeak App by Far

Ill change my rating as soon as I can figure out how to get the descriptions and logs of selected caches Every cache i select doesnt have any of that information        Wheres the cache descriptions

I am very new to geocaching so this is my very first app For those who complain that nothing happens I can tell that I count figure out how this app works for 30 minutes Just watch a videos provided by a developers So after watching the very first video I was finally able to figure out how this app works It may look very confusing in the begging yet it is very easy and fun app to use for your geocaching Just give it a try you will love it in the end I updated my account to a premium and I love that app now shows me special caches and most importantly a parking spot close to the cache I like that it shows which direction Im currently going because few times while driving I realized that I was going Opposite direction                 Perfec app

I use it offline And upload everything when I get wifi Even without having service it comes in great handy for me Fun design and easy to navigate in app and in world                 Great working app

I really liked this program better before the major update earlier this year It used to be so easy and intuitive to maneuver through the app interface and now its clumsy and not as useful Still its a good app for using the iTouch while out caching without WiFi Just wish they hadnt messed with it           Bring back the old version

I cant seem to send the validation email to any account I have nothing works Help please           Okay

The features available in this app are incredible and its my GoTo app when Im out in the field and sometimes when Im at my desk I LOVE the addition of the 1 mile bubbles around the caches that are a valuable aid in planning new caches A few wishes and Id make this a 5 include the recent log activity in the list views Inclusion of OpenStreet Maps working with waypoints is a bit fiddly to add new ones in the field adding related waypoint when viewing a waypoint didnt seem to work right and having number pad to enter coords would be so much faster              Full Featured Geocaching App

This app is the best geocaching app around I use my phone for 90 of my geocaching and this apps does the most out of all the other apps I use it to help solve unknown caches distance and bearing caches multi caches and many more I cant think of anyway they can improve this app except for tap and place waypoints to help narrow down locations on unknown caches                 The best

I am using a Touch so I wanted a caching program that would work while not connected to the internet Geosphere fits the bill completely It even caches in the data storage sense enough map pages that I usually have maps for a whole day of caching I downloaded OffMaps but havent needed to use it yet Update Now Im using an iPhone Armed with Geosphere thats all I need Six stars                 Great solution for offline cache info

This app is amazing At firstI didnt think it had spoken driving directions But it does at the bottom of the cache page using Maps I love that it is legible in bright sun that it is user friendly that it allows you to do everything possible and that there are features you see on no other caching app Kudos                 Geosphere is a superior caching app

Ive been using Geosphere for a couple of years my iPad and this app have replaced my Garmin handheld GPS The information which it displays and maps are supurb A must have                 Geocacher

I open this app at least once daily to see whats around me that can be found Its great and very user friendly yet its so in depth with features Im still learning all of the bells and whistles My only question or concern is that there is a benchmark icon loaded but no way to search for them that Im aware of Otherwise Im extremely pleased with this app and how fully loaded with features it is                 I use this daily

This is a very versatile app far better than the competition For the serious geocacher this is the way to go                 Best Geocaching App

This app is my main geocaching app I dont use the official app very often except in certain instances FTF uploads to quickly post the find This app keeps track of all my finds in concert with GSAK Frankly I dont really know what I would do without it Caching would be much less fun Yes it has a small learning curve but well worth time spent It serves you well WITH a geocaching membership Without the paid membership you cant download GPX FILES with all the data you need to find the cache hints logs etc Update Since the upgrade still awesome Another small learning curve for the new version but well worth the effort                 Best geocaching app

I rated a 4 due to the learning curve I experienced Great app with both online and offline cache lists If you also have GSAK you can load any of you data files which is a nice feature The logging of your finds DNFs etc csn be made easy by creating Stamped templates and then using them in the comments Over all an excellent app for Geocaching Cache on              Good Geocaching App

Restarted caching after a long break wasnt sure if there were any good apps available Browsed and found this one took a chance and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and ease of use Worth every penny                 Awesome App

I have tried all the major caching apps and this is the only one that I have not deleted It offers the best display for cache information Its ability to import caches filter merge lists and export gpx files lets it act as a minigsak I use Geosphere to keep track of puzzles that have been completed qualified challenges or other caches that I particularly want to do It quickly loads pocket queries or performs live searches allows me to filter and map the results and offers a beautiful display of cache pages I can easily export the results to my handheld gpsr or use the app to cache with the iPhone And it interfaces nicely with routing apps to get me where I want to go Did I mention that you can also edit caches view the underlying html and ignore caches fr within the app                 The Best

Sometime this app is more useful than my GPS                 Awesome

I love everything about Geosphere except for the black screen with the little ball that tells me to circle the ball to recalibrate the compass Please do away with this feature as it comes up at the most inopportune times For geocaching I love the new Online feature Ive used the Offline with a downloaded query for about 4 years It is very easy to use and I will give Geosphere a 5 rating as soon as there is a fix for the compass calibration Please fix the problem of uploading field notes It says something is expired              Compass is constantly recalibratiing

This app really is a musthave for any geocacher who uses a tablet or iPhone on their Geocaching trips We use it all the time It works great rarely has problems and is one of the best apps we have We usually do not write reviews but this one warrants a great one 5 stars                 Great App

Everyone is talking about how this app is better but when Im looking for a geocache I cant read the logs description or look at any hints until I found it or didnt find it           Good app having some problems

The official app looks so much better compared to this design of a bygone era of iOS              Utilitarian Functional but Fugly

I am a bicyclist so it would be great to have sound alerts like my gpsr had at say 200 ft and 50 ft from target It would be great to be able to have turn by turn routing while riding then hiking routing when on foot The only problem I have with the app is that it is very difficult to figure out how to enter in coordinates for the next location of a multicache If that is available I cant figure it out If that is a feature it needs to be more intuitive              It is great but there is room for improvement

Would show any caches near me even though my official geocaching app show 30 within 5miles of me Not an easy interface I dont pre plan my trips They are almost always random so I really miss the find caches near me button        Would love my money back

If you use an iPhone this is a no brainer Buy it Updated user interface is now leveraging the direct API which means you get best of both worlds ad hoc anywhere anytime access or offline DB mode with thousands of caches pre loaded Gr8 integration with Dropbox for exporting and importing GPX and field notes etc Now you can deal with photos and trackables at the same time youre logging a geocache The mode strip is very convenient for turning the GPS on and off and the flashlight button kicks butt Nice touch Ive been hoping that I could sort on attributes and favorites and my wish has now come true Overall an amazing and powerful update The potential is absolutely there I cant wait to get out and put it through its paces Hopefully its as reliable and highperformance as the previous version All indicators are that it will be The one feature I would like to see added is the display of the last few logs in List View using symbols indicating whether a cache was found not found or notes Remains top desire able I dont love the constant compass calibrate screen at most in opportune times Would love a way to quickly bypass sometimes My experience caching w iPhone 45 is very positive Battery life is as decent as can be expected Recommend you invest in aux charger pack for all day sessions Integration w navigon and maps is handy Pick a target cache using builtin bookmark send target coords to Navigon and let it voice turn by turn get you to nearest drivable spot then jump back into Geosphere and got get it on bike or foot Very handy and safer to keep eyes on road rather than GPS unit or phone Lately I have enjoyed speaking or dictating my log entries into the phone It works very well Its nice to be able to upload as log in real time now if desired rather than as a field note like before Since I am a GSAK user I tend to log and load after a day or two all at once but sometimes like FTF you want to put something in place quick No I have no need for ground speaks app at all Great job More later on battery life and operation                 Nothing else comes close

Purchased this ap a few days ago It looks like a good ap but it hasnt worked one time I cant get it to link to geocach dot com all my email to support have not been answered I dont recommend buying this ap     Not happy

Most useful easy to use App Fast search on line off line great maps good GPS features Type a few letters in the search and the cache info is there 1 best Geocaching App                 Best Geo App

One of the things I really like about the app is off line caching when you are too deep in the woods for cell phone signal Many geocaching apps stop working without net access but not this one I would only use the app and leave the 60C in the car for one thing breadcrumbs and 20 feet zoom              Really nice to use this for caching

Paid 8 for an app that doesnt help at all Without the ability to pull the caches right from the Internet this app is completely useless A HUGE waste of money     Pointless

Ive now had my first outing with Geosphere and its a tremendous improvement over everything Ive used before This app is very thoughtfully designed and provides very broad support for the operations involved in preparing for an outing actual geocaching and reporting the results And as a software developer Im amazed at how fast this app is Thanks very much Later after two years of caching with Geosphere and after the v30 upgrade I find it difficult to rate this program I still feel it was a 5star app when I first tried it the the v3 improvements are worth at least three stars but I dont seem to be able to find the 8star option Im a retired software ergonomist and designer and I have to say that its truly rare to find a product which combines such ontarget functionality with a genuinely insightful user interface Thanks for a great product and thanks for v3 which among many other things enables Geosphere to replace the other app I was using for unplanned online caching Geosphere now does it all                 What a great way to geocache

Well worth the money User friendly and tons of options to cache the way you prefer Personalized for tracking finds and can download waypoints from GC site Enjoy caching with this app instead of a GPS Palm Pilot and notebook                 Great caching app
