This book is probably my favorite in the series so far I m up to book 7 It has one of the better storylines and oddly enough I like the music loop in this one as well It doesn t seem as repetitive as the others You start to care about the characters in the story and the multiple paths make this book replayable                     One of my favorites KingSigma

This game book is definitely one of the better ones in the series The story is engaging and the action is broken up into three separate areas There appears to be more than one ending to the book which makes the book replayable However I m not interested in replaying the book Others might be though The book was well written but there were a few minor grammatical errors and stuff like that Nothing major The artwork was also very well drawn This book is highly recommended                 This is One of the Better Books in the Series hoodrat91910

So far I ve played read two gamebooks in the series this one and the Spider God and of the two this is the superior Writing is hit and miss but overall it works The story is linear and contrived but a fun diversion one great aspect is that your character has a personal motivation to continue through his I d say or her but I get the feeling the story is written to assume the protagonist is male quest The personal element of the narrative is what makes this one so fun and if you play right in the end the story finishes as a compelling personal journey                 Amusing Little Story Der AndersB

A classic oldschool style of gaming If someone like games with good stories they will absolutely love this With the battle path choices and items it has an immersion that most ordinary books doesn t Is it just me or does this game use more battery than expected for a heavy text game Perhaps someone else can confirm or maybe I played it and time went by so fast D                     Finally a game with a fantastic story Ken,D

The writing is well done and I enjoyed the story However the dice rolls are unfair and frustrating Like other reviewers have stated the computer cheats             Good game with flaws Warmakerreal

Early in the story there s at least three or four ways you re either denied a way to save yourself entirely through radon actions that in no way seem atrociously dangerous or put there with such weak dice pools you re guaranteed death through slow needling Once you get past that point it picks up nicely and is actually quite interesting and original But I do agree that at some point you start to stare blankly at the screen when half of your pool of six is ones and literally all of their pool of four is above five This happens the sweeping majority of the time but through bludgeoning the encounters with bookmark hammering you can trudge through it             Slow start picks up Worth the buck deemaunik

I loved the choose your own adventure books growing up so I took a chance on this while it s on sale for 99 I have spent a few hours with it and while the writing is well done though a bit repetitious how many corridors and wooden doors can you go through before you get bored I find the ending to be horribly frustrating Even with pretty good stats gear and full health it is impossible to get through the last fights at the end of the game It s all luck and the NPC rolls always seem to beat mine even though given my stats I should have the advantage easily Nonetheless I keep reloading and retrying over and over and over which I ve been doing for the last hour just hoping for a bit of luck on the rolls I have now given up as the computer is clearly cheating on the rolls Not fun at all to just reload from a bookmark and flip through pages I ve already read to spam the dice and be defeated over and over again Can t recommend until the dice rolls are more fair     Frustrating TheGamerBabe

My first adventure book purchase Bought it while on sale and am glad I did lots of ambiance and well written Only complaint is that it seemed very shot You see a lot of turn to page 486 and what not giving you the impression there are hundreds of pages and perhaps many hours of enjoyment This is not the case I was through it in a 2 hour sitting I had hoped for more Will I buy the others in the series Likely yes but I will be waiting for them to be on sale at 0 99 cents 4 99 just seems too high for such a short book If it were a long rambling adventure I would feel differently I am comparing this to games that have kept both myself and the kids busy for weeks on end for the same outlay                 Good but too short Dude named Ben

I ve been following Gamebook Adventures for a while now and I have to say that although each of them are great apps the first one was my favourite due to an amazing story Well this book just replaced Assassin in that spot the story is really engaging original and keeps you at an edge of your seat during the whole playthrough I only wish it could last a bit longer some parts seem a bit rushed but it s still an amazing game and you should absolutely get it if you are a fan of the genre                     Amazing story madam_octa
