While I appreciate the idea design about this app the letter sounds are not accurate The F V and M are inaccurate sound productions This could be very confusing for kids learning their letter sounds Hopefully the maker of this app will correct this Sounds not accurate
This is possibly the best app to introduce the alphabet using phonics I like the facility to choose UK or US audio The visuals are delightful with just enough animation I also like the use of lower case Worth every penny I hope the creators develop more phonics apps and progress to words Great stuff Excellent App
I have to agree with other reviewersa few of the letter sounds need to be changed for the app to be a usable educational tool ALSO for the letter s there is a picture of a sea lion yet the word used is seal There is a difference If it wasnt for these few issues I would rate this app 4 or 5 stars easily Has great potential HOWEVER
This could be such a great app The graphics are fun and my kids love the different things to manipulate on each animal But there is a major flaw Some of the sounds of the letters are inaccurate For example the letter F is pronounced as fuh in the game This is wrong Other letters have this problem too They pronounce M like muh In phonics the sound muh is made when you have the letters m and u together I wish this wasnt the case because otherwise I would love this app But if they dont fix the sounds the letters make Im not going to let my kids play the game itll just confuse them So close yet really far
