I ve tried three of the most popular image vault apps and this one ends up last in the bunch Obviously I ll be pointing out the faults in the core application and not the limitations of this lite version It does what it s supposed to do but in a very clunky manner For example you can only add one image at a time rather than an entire batch of images Exporting the images is similarly tedious the app only lets you export one image at a time In addition the password entry does not reappear upon awakening the device after it s gone to sleep and the password entry screen itself is rather bland and uninspired This is a minor quibble of course but I just thought I d mention it for those looking for a nice UI In fact the user interface as a whole is very bland A big problem for me is when the app automatically resizes an image to be a square for the image s thumbnail instead of cropping it the way Apple s built in Photos app does This causes the thumbnails of some rectangular images to look either squashed or stretched depending on your point of view Finally no email option or other amenities make this a very bare bones image vault app It does what it purports to do and certainly nothing more If you re looking for the best of the bunch as of this writing search for Picture Safe or Video Safe                 Gives you a decent overview of the app SturmB
