I fell in love with this card game at a friends game night and this app is a perfect replacement when I cant get people together to play in real life I only rated a 4 because its missing the Snack Attack expansion and online match making isnt the best It will do until my next game night              Just as good as the real life card game

My friends and I picked this game up couldnt be happier Quick pacing sets in with math fight skills after an initial uphill learning curve Great translation of a well built non collectible card game                 Excellent

Not only does is this game vying with Durak for best card control on the iPhone but this game is stunningly good If you dont know what drafting is this game is the perfect game to learn on And if you do know what drafting is then youll able to jump right in and play and within minutes youll be appreciating the tightness of the format and the rapid speed of play Great fun and to card players I think worth the admittedly high price But for that you get two levels of campaign one for neophytes and one for drafting and you get multiplayer Seems good                 Just WOW

First of all ADD STATS Winloss at least Cripes I dont follow some of this Fighting a dog When Why Whos turn is it The onscreen indicators of game flow are lame The LAYOUT needs to be changed Looks nice Horribly explained Confusing layout Saw the real game in a store Might need to buy it so I can learn it properly because this digital version doesnt cut it     Hard to follow if youve never played it

The art is great Its fastplaying and fun The drafting mechanic adds a good strategy layer for folks familiar with deck building The campaign mode is a nice diversion while Im waiting for online opponents to pop up I like this so much I had to buy the paper version No they didnt pay me to say that                 New favorite deck builder

This is really fantastic It is easy to get started with this game and the tutorial and instructions are clear and detailed While the concepts are simple there is some good strategy involved in selecting and playing your hands There are multiple game modes for single player and multiplayer including a single player campaign Presentation is great and the graphics and sounds are attractive humorous and entertaining Topping this yummy meal off is the much appreciated Game Center support If you enjoy strategy and card games this is a cant miss                 A delicious and filling meal

If boring confusing and shallow games are what you like then this is what youve been looking for     This is garbage

Gameplay is decent but the graphics are badly in need of an update to retina display This is not just a snobby complaint about the quality of the graphics the low res cards make it difficult to quickly survey your hand and understand what you are holding           Good deckbuilding game but graphics need an update

The food fight card game is one of the best I have played in the past few years and the iPhone port does it justice Very fun game lots of strategy and replay value Online multiplayer could use some tinkering as draft can take awhile Maybe a live play version Regardless great game amazing art work and tons of fun If you like the app buy the card game Even more fun in person with your friends                 Great port of a great game

First and foremost I saw another user talking about invasive notifications I have yet to receive a single advertisement from the developers in the form of a notification I also only play the campaign mode so that could be why Food Fight could be classified as a deckbuilding game like Ascension and Dominion but if I said it plays the same as either of those I would be sorely mistaken I bought this version before I purchased the physical card game I figured it would be a good way to see if I liked the gameplay before dropping more money on the more expensive version Needless to say I loved it so much J bought the card set and the expansion very soon after One thing the game does very well is explaining the core rules It did take me a few rounds to actually grasp them but I had a very good idea of what was going on in the first round It just took some time to understand the dynamics of the cards and how they are best played together I cant speak for the multiplayer setup as I havent used it yet but Ive been playing the campaign off and on for about three months now and Im still not finished with it Of course that is more based on luck of the draw with some roundsbosses and time invested but its one of the few IOS games I keep coming back to when I have 5 minutes or an hour to spare I highly recommend this game Allow yourself get past the learning curve and learn the card dynamics and you will too                 Really fun addictive and well worth the money

This game is impossibly difficult to understand The laughably bad tutorial with faux French accent making it even more confusing and complex rule book are counterproductive in helping a new player learn this game Both my wife and I cannot understand even a single step in actual gameplay Luckily I only wasted 99 cents Honestly one of the worst app purchases Ive ever made Unless you have someone to explain this to you beware     Thoroughly disappointed

Having not played the card game version of Food Fight I was pleasantly surprised how accessible they have made the iOS version It is easy to learn understand and play in about 10 minutes The animations and sound are great compliments to the game and the AI is well balanced My only issue with the game is the tutorial Having never played the card game it did a good job of showing me game mechanics It also did an ok job in explaining the Draft version of the game so I could understand how to build an army Where it failed completely was in explains The Dog When I played my first game this completely new and confusing aspect game into light How does The Dog become active When I am playing against The Dog am I still playing against my opponent Can I make The Dog go away These are all aspects that were not covered in the tutorial and I am still wondering about after having the digital version for about 6 months If the tutorial was updated to explain this or if a print copy of the rules were in the app so I could read them it wouldve early increase my enjoyment of the game and reduce my frustrations              Well done but missing one key aspect

Excellent card game The iOS could use more games like this My only complaint is that the AI is very weak Still a really fun game with some great art                 Awesome

If you are looking for at least somewhat deep or challenging game look elsewhere This is a beautifully done adaptation of a shallow and very limited game Good job guys but I wish you signed better contracts        Well implementer lame game

First the failure to confirm before erasing a players campaign mode is just shameful One slip of a finger as I did or curious friend poking around in your games and you could lose a lot of work This needs to be fixed Second the tutorial fails to mention the dog and the ingame rulebook which you really shouldnt count on people reading doesnt do a great job of explaining whenwhy the dog appears The tutorial is also weak in failing to explain that the unplated cards in your hand still are a part of the battle This is amplified by the rather difficulttosee even on an iPad highlighting on currently usable cards The red highlight is hard to see and the light blue highlight that appears in campaign mode selection screens is almost impossible to see On top of this sometimes dragging cards into the play area is impossible especially on the iPhone so you cant even be sure if youre allowed to play a card or not As a result of these drawbacks having not played the physical card game I almost gave up on Food Fight before getting into it and I play a lot of games like this one Im glad I gave it another chance but having just lost a campaign on one of my devices because of the oversight about starting a new campaign without confirmation I might have to pause this game until theres an update           Fun with some major weaknesses

As with another reviewer my campaign has frozen at the Vlad the Clampire stage with loading stopping at 46 If this evidently multipleuser problem is resolved in an update then Ill redo my rating     Campaign freezes

I think you should add more cards so there are more cards to play with otherwise its good                 Cool game but

Not much depth here You basically each play a card with a numerical value then take turns playing cards with bonuses to try to bump your number higher than your opponents occasionally sandbagging and holding some back with a eye towards autowinning an extra round after the other guy runs out of cards Win enough rounds and thats game The combos are nothing to get excited about cards with small bonuses become cards with big bonuses in certain situations basically Drafting adds an ultrathin veneer of strategy thats otherwise missing from the game And the whole dog mechanic is an awkward mess that helps kill whatever fun you might otherwise have had It amazes me that it survived the development and playtesting of the original card game It basically means that even if you find another person to play with you could instead end up playing all or most rounds of the game against an AI consisting of randomly generated numbers Smooth interface and decent music and graphics from an iPhoners perspective anyway are all that stop me from giving this game a lower rating 2 stars still feels mighty generous considering how ticked I am at Playdek for wasting time and resources on such a mediocre release Even with Gokos incompetence effectively blackholing such heavies as Dominion Thunderstone and Race for the Galaxy theres a whole slew of much worthier titles out there Citadels and GosuKamakor come to mind Food Fight doesnt even rank in Boardgamegeeks top 3000 games Ive picked up every Playdek release so far and this is the only one I regret Regret enough to delete even Nuff said        A Bland Offering

Its a very simple game but a lot of fun I do not own the table top version but Im defiantly going to buy it the next time Im at the store The rules were a little confusing at first but after reading the rules it made more sense then the in game tutorial                 Very well made

I love this game except for one thing if Im already fighting computers to begin with I never EVER EVER want I fight the dog Just make us fight all three meals against the boss instead If I carefully select and plate a hand and then play the dog over and over I start to get extremely annoyed Just make it an option please                 Love the card game love this

Would be 4 stars if it were not for this bug It makes the campaign mode not worth spending time on This is made worse by the fact that every time you close the app you have to click multiple buttons to get back to where you were as well as ensure that you dont accidentally click New other wise your game is gone I paid 99 cents for this game and would not recommend buying it until they put out an update Considering someone else gave this a one star rating for same issue 8 months ago they do not seem to be responsive to feedback     Clicking New one time deletes all campaign progress

This is a well done iOS card game which isnt a shock since its coming from Playdek As long as you realize that this game is pretty simple you can have fun with it But its not too simple Theres plenty of variety in cards and combos you can make with them and that makes the game itself quite fun to play Well the app is mostly well done This game really doesnt translate very well to asynch play Drafting 2 cards and then waiting half a day to draft 2 more really isnt much fun Plus theres some issues like if somebody battles the dog I dont see any way to review how their match with the dog went You just either see that they got points or not This game desperately needs live play Then the online will become fun At the very least they need to add timers like they have in their version of Ascension but really what Id more want is a live play option where each turn has a short timer more like the live play in Carcassonne but Id not want it limited to 2 players this game is more fun with 3 or 4 Lastly I really hope they will add local bluetooth multiplayer because this game is a chore to play pass and play especially on an iPad where it otherwise shines Again draft 2 cards and then pass the iPad Repeat It gets tiresome If it had local bluetooth multiplayer that way would work really well So its a good start but currently to me is more of a single player game then multiplayer With the above improvements it could be come a mainstay              Lite fare Fun if you expect that Needs online improvements and local bluetooth play

the developers have started sending push notifications about sales reminders to buy expansions and I even got one from this game asking if Id played the campaign This is a violation of the iOS developer agreement and a quick way to lose your player base as they turn off push notifications to avoid ads being pushed to all their iOS devices           Stop the useless push notifications
