The FingerCAD HD is now available for $9.99 for iPad owners. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. The new FingerCAD HD app version 1.84 has been updated on 2014-11-18. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. This application showed much promise Especially the feature of importing a picture and then laying down dimensions on top of it Both this and from scratch drawing was considerably difficult I ended up having to use a different application entirely I wish it had a trial version before dropping for the paid one     Dissappointing KYAF

Computer Assisted Design CAD This is a fairly powerful CAD app with a fair amount that is intuitive and for that which is not there is a PDF user manual at the developers web site For the life of me I don t know why it s not also in the app Not sure why the other reviewer said that this is not a CAD app It s not a 300 one but it is an a decent entry level CAD program with various snap to features automatic vertex connection 2D and 3D etc for only 10                 Powerful and inexpensive CAD app Eriptron

I can see that this App can be very useful for doing CAD layout the documentation is extensive and the companion 3D App is a nice touch I recommend it for those looking to do CAD work on their iPad                     Useful CAD app Aspiring artist44

I like this app a lot and as for the price I have yet to find a comparable one I like the 3d view and the multi floor There are just a few thing this app needs though I would like to see a more in depth tutorial perhaps interactive and 3d geometrics not just straight lines up from the 2d drawing I use this app to design ironwork such as chainmaille which uses rings and knives which uses flat shapes for these things the current 3d view is of little use One final thing is the selection tool I would Ike to see the selected piece STAY selected instead of moving outside the selection zone This way if I move too far I don t have to re select the piece             Missing just a few things Jbrickner

Bought this fairly expensive app to lay out a simple granite base in 2d approximately 40 by 48 with angled edges A fairly simple task you would think Not with this package I could not get my drawing space under 1000 by a 1000 inches and was unable to get a one inch grid The drawing tools and snap tools were not intuitive I had to go back to turbo cad to complete task Need turbo cad to develope an app     Mr Cull master

Did not work well for me Example Drawing a box and trying to annotate measurements In the x axis this worked well In the y axis the length of the line in the selected units was not displayed until lifting your finger Drawing both annotations in the x axis and trying to rotate one 90 degrees did not work Rotation is available in 1 degree increments and after about 40 presses it loses focus I read the online docs and spent about 20 minutes trying to label a box then gave up     Needs more work rev31415

It lacks critically important features like the ability to numerically define positions lengths etc The interface is overly complex unintuitive and incomplete It fails to take full advantage of touch paradigms instead opting to feel like a mouse based program This is not a passable cad app     Not Good enginerd1

I bought this to draw simple designs for things to make in my workshop I like that it tells you sizes and coordinates as you draw Hard to select objects or parts of objects Overall I m not able to draw what I want easily Price is too high a free trial maybe that you can t save with until you upgrade would be appreciated             Ok no docs hard to use Mr._Paul

I should have listened to the first reviewer This app has a very cumbersome non intuitive drawing editor and tool set The methodology of workflow is not productive and as stated basic drawing elements are not either present or are not fluent I am sorry to give such a negative review but after wasting a ton of money on a dozen so called CAD apps which did not deliver on their stated goals I am frustrated It s the 21st century drawing on a computer regardless of the form factor should not be this difficult I am a veteran architect and interior designer with 25 years of CAD experience so I believe I am qualified to review CAD apps That said since some of the stated features do exist in the app as stated I find their usability not efficient enough for field work The documentation is not well organized The ridiculous diagram attempting to illustrate the commands is ineffectual at best and the language has some basic grammatical mistakes The good news If app has what appears to be a solid engine Great Make the basics work before attempting 3D For good bad or indifferent reasons the de facto industry standard is AutoCad for good reason Yes other CAD software exist and the good ones tend to all draw with efficiency in mind for 2D I would be willing to donate my time pro bono to help a developer make their CAD app for the iPad more efficient for the designer in the field The are a couple of graph paper type apps that work well but are not CAD I GUESS AFTER WEEKS OF SPENDING MONEY AND PRECIOUS TIME AND TRYING TO BELIEVE IN THE DEVELOPER S STATED FUNCTIONALITIES I AM DISMAYED     Should have listened to 1st reviewer App missing basics TimothyDel

When purchasing this app I read that it s just like the auto cad It s not Very touchy Hard to fix improper line layout No hands on instruction just the manual Needs a help button I wish you could draw a simple mantle thats under 10 feet Instead it has to be at least 10 feet     Not worth the money JacVize

This app just does not fit in with the whole concept of a touch driven interface It may be intuitive to somebody who uses CAD programs all the time but not for the casual user The tool selection and properties adjustments do not fit with any interface standards that I have ever seen Selections and adjustments are maddeningly time consuming I do not think bug fixes are going to make it any better It is gong to take a total redesign to just make it usable I wish I had listened to the other reviewers and left this one alone         Very cumbersome music-major

This software has major problems When you set scale to feet and then set area to say 75x75 feet rather than fill the screen as best can be done so that it represents a 75x75 foot area it creates a mini screen to work in Additionally if you set the grid to 10 spanning from one grid point to the next registers as well over 100 Please fix scaling and add snap features so i can even begin to use the program Lastly if any program deserves a help file it is a cad program     Scaling no good Badapp12323

This app is close to what I have been looking for though there are a few things that would be nice to see Like the other comment it would be great to adjust the grid The thing I would like to see are to be able to type the location length and angle of the line To be able to say I want a line to start at1 1 and end act 3 4 or to say Line start at 1 1 to 1 2 take 90 degree turn to 2 2 Another example would be that I want to start at point 1 1 making a 12 line turning 45 degree s then continuing on for 3 turning 260 degree s This is what I would like to see because if you already know what your making and how it should look Then all you need is to type it in Instead of trying to make a small line hit a small peg with big fingers This is where I will leave things to see if what can be improved with this app I hope this is use it has good potential     Good start but not there yet dantidd

I had a very hard time finding an app like this I really like this app It would be well worth the price if you could change the grid increments It is not useful for making drawing in feet or inches because the lowest increment for the grid snap is 5 12 is not evenly divisible by 5 so it is impossible to draw anything that is not a whole number For example if you wanted to draw a room that is 8 9 x12 3 you could only accurately draw one that is 8 10 x12 I would give this app five stars if I could change the grid increments to a lower number than 5 units 3 would be perfect Dear developer please make this adjustment so that people using non metric measurement can use your app p s Thanks for the recent update with the import feature very cool     Almost Imray4

Shows promise but not a useful app at this time for me Don t like having to toggle back forth to another page to select a different tool Also scaling is not for any of my work Hope the developer keeps working on it         Nice start needs more work old graybeard

I don t want to discourage folks from developing niche apps like this but charging 9 99 for this is just bad manners To switch tools you have to navigate to the options screen There are resize handles on selected objects but they don t do anything No pinch to zoom two finger to scroll or any other multi touch anything Tap and drag doesn t even do anything useful except select objects and then only if you have the right tool selected You have to tap directional buttons to pan around the screen and move objects Still waiting for a CAD tool for the iPad that isn t completely terrible     oh boy howdyPardner
