The application is supporting different languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish. It weighs in at a hefty 215 MB, so make sure you have plenty of free space on your iOS device. The new Europe - MICHELIN Restaurants app version 1.0 has been updated on 2014-12-17. DO NOT BUY THIS APP I have the 2013 version of this on my iPhone which I find very helpful The 2013 version provides as the Redbook always did hotels and restaurants with useful descriptions of the hotel and restaurant dishes as well as prices and facilities This 2015 restaurant app is nothing like it There are only restaurant listings and they have the bare minimum of information Its nothing special compared to most apps for restaurant location The only thing that makes it all useful is to compare with the 2013 to see if the star listings have changed I want my money back Not the Redbook we know and used to love
For users of the 2014 version this version is no longer equivalent to the Red Book and only has restaurants not hotels The entire software system is new The old one was hardly cutting edge but the new system appears to have retained all the bad features of the old and introduced new problems 1 The Sort function does not work the list is not properly sorted with some nostars featured above two stars 2 The Refine function does not work it always returns None 3 In perhaps typical French bloodymindedness they have opted for a rubbish European mapping provider TomTom which has poor detail and does not zoom Google Maps is the product which works best in Europe but they have chosen foist a useless European alternative on their users Im keeping the 2014 version on my phone More elbow grease and fewer long lunches please Michelin Poor update
Every time I try to find a restaurant near me I get a screen that tells me to turn on location services for this app which are already on Cant figure out how to fix it Limited usefulness without that feature Location services dont work
This app just crashes on launch I have tried deleting and reinstalling But no success 2012 version still works on my iphone but slightly outdated Crashes on launch
I purchased this app prior to my trip to Rome and Venice and it is sad to see such an amazing guidebook so far behind on their technology At least for Venice there are very few restaurants reviewed and very little content The map feature is buggy and that is being kind If you want to know which restaurants have received the prestigious Michelin stars save your money cause youll need it and check Wikipedia 68 total restaurants and hotels in all of Venice Really 2 stars here means not good
No more hotels Also the format has changed no longer like the print version Warning
