This is by far the worst functioning app on my phone The app crashes all the time The browing is terrible You constantly need to refresh when listening to recorded on demand files And it can take up to 4 hours for ESPN to post a recorded show PLEASE FIX THIS APP ESPN
This new update ruined a perfectly good app Crashes constantly and now I cant even freaking rewind the live radio feature like I could with the previous version I am constantly listening while working and often miss a segment or a topic before i would just rewind and listen to what i missed but now cant I have to wait until the show is put on demand which is a waste of time and to much effort This is garbage Seeking live radio not available
This latest version is inexplicably missing the favorites tabs and selection for all stations I cannot for the life of me fathom why you would ever get rid of a simple option like favoriting stations especially when there are almost a hundred choices Are you really that stupid ESPN Bring it back WHY would ESPN remove Favorites
First is the rewind feature removed Secondly the app just starts skipping every 15 sec or so and I have to reopen the app and restart it Only reason it gets a star is because I get to download podcast Love the possibilities but what a failure

The best part of this app used to be that you could seek live radio up to an hour beforehand and it made all the cutting out random shut offs and absurdity of the same five commercials playing over and over again worth it They have since taken away the streaming the ONE PART that made the app worthwhile and everything else is the same Why Just why Please for the love of God tell me why Where to begin

I have a problem with this app everyday Not good
This was previously one of my favorite apps But now there is no favorites tab no ability to rewind no ability to fast forward so now I just wait and listen to the podcasts All of these abilities were present one time but for one reason or another you spin the sided to remove this functionality so they have now lost me as a consumer for the app Stepping backward

Disabling stream seeking was a horrible decision I am listening to fewer sponsor ads now because I am simply not using your app I went from loyally listening 4 hours throughout the day to maybe 30min max now Please reverse this decision Please give back rewind
TLDR Use the ESPN Channel on Apple Musics radio button instead of this app Apple Music works This doesnt Audio cuts in and out skips a lot will randomly play ads when you launch it even though stuff is happening live Interface is clunky at best If your bluetooth cuts it it doesnt pause the audio it just starts playing it over the speakers Really poorly designed I expected better from ESPN Very disappointing But as stated above you can stream the same live stuff on the national feed in the Radio button in Apple Music and download their podcasts to any podcasting app of your choice Thats a much better options than ever using this app Awful functionality better options

I used to listen to ESPN radio every morning while taking a shower But with the latest update the ESPN decided to disable seeking forcing me to listen to commercials as I can no longer rewind the stream I am fine with listening to commercials but oftentimes these take up my entire shower So for now its back to NPR Sad day Seeking disabled

What suit came up with the idea of taking away the pause and rewind feature that has been present for years This used to be a great app but with that feature gone and the rapid decline in talent on the radio it has become horrid You took away PAUSE AND REWIND

Commercial Heaven This app is now worthless since the pausing feature has been disabled Also the number of ads have increased to the point that I stop listening because I hear more ads than sports talk ESPN radio shows already have ads built in to the show that is annoying on it own let alone multiple 5hr energy drink jingles and others It was very nice to be able to back up or skip forward and pause to hear the parts of the shows that Im interested Sorry Im not going to listen to 30 mins of talk about golf 10 mins without commercials so I can hear the guest that is coming up later I will just get my sports news and talk from some place else like YouTube that allows you to skip a commercial after 5 seconds Horrid updates
