In the past I have had numerous problems with this app and connecting to my M1Gold Since updating to the latest firmware for the Elk Ethernet module ekeypad has worked flawlessly I m hoping that future updates don t break the app again My only issue is paying 49 for an app that should be supplied for free from Elk It is sad that such a high end panel doesn t come with an app However I don t blame the developer for filling the need though                     Updated review Works great now Dcaudill11

I purchased there app 6 years ago and they have always supported there product I recently had to swap out a modem and after that I some issues connecting to my home automation I emailed them through there in app link And they walked me right through it Quick response and always upgrading there product to make it better and incorporate new technology Would recommend to anyone                     E keypad Hill m 1820

Latest update broke my background image in blueprint mode It s gone even though it appears in the thumbnail view of the edit screen I can t find my original floorplan jpg and the regular backups I ve taken don t restore the background either There s also no way that I can find to open the backup files directly to extract the background jpg Previous update made all switches stop working from blueprint mode until removing and re adding each one Great way to waste 90 minutes repositioning and resizing icons App is great when it works but update quality has been inconsistent Can t recommend to professional installers unless you enjoy getting phone calls from angry customers when an app update breaks their house         Inconsistent app updates BobD75pro

This update has fixed 2 issues I have experienced for several months There is now no lag time when remotely arming disarming the system The lighting controls were not activating properly but work perfectly now Excellent upgrade and enhancements and I will continue to recommend this to everyone                     Awesome update K-BarOKC

This app is just what I was looking for It gives complete remote control of the Elk M1 Gold system It s very configurable to display items the way you want them When I m away from home I can very quickly check on the status of the system I can arm and disarm it and the support is incredible I ve messaged the author a couple times with questions and received replies and complete answers to resolve my issues which were self induced within just a few minutes                     A great addition to my home automation pmg111

In terms of the iPhone this is an awesome product I was one of the very first people to buy it because I was so anxious for iphone control I used to use VNC and ElkRM on the iphone It accomplishes everything extremely well in a small form factor like the iphone Ever since the first version Jayson keeps finding ways to improve the application and make it perform better there have been so many updates and improvements I love how easy it is to get to all aspects of my system In fact it s my favorite application to show off on my iPhone any chance I get Jayson the developer is very responsive and from the sounds of things even helps with other config issues that aren t the fault of his application I know Elk has supported and worked with Jayson to make this a great product I m not as thrilled with the iPad interface but I am pretty happy to get iPad control right out of the box without having to buy another version I would love more customization in the screens hopefully that ll be in the works in the future Because I have a lot of lights and contacts it would be nice to be able to take advantage of the screen size of the ipad and see a larger list That said the fact that we even have iPad control of the entire house is still amazing                     Awesome Product MusicLovinITGuy

Jayson responds to any issues within minutes it seems I ve emailed him a number of times each time he has been very quick to try to resolve my issues most of which have been due to problems with my Elk system which my security company resolved The software itself is easy to use and very convenient for me as a disabled person allowing me to control the thermostat as well as my lights from anywhere I choose I originally purchased the eK M1 after my wife I drove off with the garage door open all day Now I can check easily remotely close the garage door activate every device on my Elk system When on a trip I turn the thermostat up to conserve AC power a couple of hours before our return change the temperature back down so that when we arrive home the house is at a comfortable temp                     Great support Long time CNNer

This product will make your day if you depend on a system like the Elk M1 to control and protect your house or business I am away from home four months of the year and depend upon the EKeypad M1 to control my ELk system This includes the alarm system z wave controlled lights and even my water pump I monitor house temperatures and control exhaust fans all with my iPhone or iPad The application is flawless and easy to install and use For the programmers out there Jayson has done an excellent job interfacing with an alarm system that requires long strings of characters to implement basic commands I wrote a little of this control code in Objective C and believe me it is no picnic A top notch product and a safe investment                     EKeypad M1 tango127

This app is exactly what I was looking for I needed to be able to access my M1gold while I was away and this does it great I had a bit of a problem using a dns name for the network address but working with Jason Callaway the developer who responded quickly we were able to get it working The problem was the cellular speed of loading up the cache Once the cached items were in the phone the app loads quickly and works great I am looking forward to being able to control the audio that is hooked up to my M1 thru this mobal app                     Great App Great Support willt4

Anyone with an M1 knows that the built in Java based GUI thing is horribly outdated looking and bloated and it won t run on a mobile phone at all I just bought an M1 and to be honest I was considering returning it and getting an HAI system because there are more remote control options for the HAI system But this app made me decide to keep the M1 It s very well designed easy to customize the Favorites screen so you can essentially have a dashboard of the most used or most critical items and has access to control anything the M1 can control Status updates and commands between my iphone and the M1 are instantaneous on the local network I haven t tried it over EDGE yet 45 may seem like a lot of money for an iPhone iPod app but if you compare it to a wired arming station it s actually much cheaper has WAY more functionality and it s so portable that you can have access to your controls anywhere in the world Well worth it Note that there is also a Pro version of this app which supports IP surveillance cameras At some point I ll probably pick up a couple of iPod touches and just dock them in the areas of the house that people spend the most time in                     This app is the best M1 controller app out there siggy15

I have wanted an easy way to control my M1 via cell phone for years eKeypad Plus has met my expectations One of the best things about this app is the developer s involvement in the HA community and commitment to make this a first class app eKeypad plus continues to be updated and improved bugs are addressed and not just dismissed I would like to see the sync with the panel a little faster but that is likely a technical limitation At first I thought 45 was a lot to spend on an app but when I think about the relatively few number of apps that will be sold and see the level of support that is being given I think it s a real value                 Great App to control your M1 ssmiller
