The concept sounds good but getting started lacks hugely Theres very little instruction to use the HTML like interface You need to try to navigate lists but the responsiveness is terrible and don t make a mistake The back button functions terrible too I could not get past the sign up because of the usability and unless someone inspires me to it for some reason it s not worth it to me     Poor UI with poor signup themedgeek

The registration page uses a non standard port 8443 which isn t open in our corporate firewall So no matter what it times out Why not use a standard port 443 Will update rating if fixed in future     Doesn t work behind firewall Mr. iPhone User

I originally thought this was a good app but for weeks it asks me to update and then crashes Any fixes     Still crashes after update Guy in SA

On the compose message screen buttons are too close for fingers and almost too close for a stylus I have hit the send button prematurely when trying to hit the key to add recipients firing off a blank email Learned my lesson so next time composed email first then tried to add recipients I ended up fat fingering the Cancel button while working in the recipient field erasing the entire email so had to start over If you have to leave the buttons there could we at least have the option to confirm any Send or Cancel command             iPhone Screen Too Cramped Gunny45

I have been using the DocBook app for the past two years and I have found it to be an incredible asset to my practice It has grown into a powerful tool since I began using it and continues to improve It is much more than a Rolodex on the go Being new to the Austin Texas medical scene two years ago I found it extremely useful to match names with faces The latest updates in messaging have provided seamless transfer of medical info between referring docs HIPPA compliant including media The medical community is beginning to realize the far reaching impact of this clever app As more medical societies utilize this app and more physicians within each society use it it s power will only continue to grow This is my honest opinion I have no financial conflict of interest to disclose I am not DocBook staff just busy doc and happy user                     Get ahead with DocBook E_rock2

This is a great idea with a clean user interface But for my location the database makes this product less useful Residents medical students and physicians who retired more than five years ago show up This means it is still easier to do a google search to find active practices than wade through the listings on this system One suggestion have a setting to limit searches to those signed up for direct messaging A click box on the search page would allow the searches to quickly limited to those who can be contacted by this system I think this is a great idea and hope future enhancements will make the product more useful             Database needs work LubbockMD

Fantastic directory of physicians to have on me at all times The only caveat is you must belong to the medical society for which the database you are searching Fast sync and constantly updated The ability to look up office numbers and contact info is invaluable especially when I don t have time to go to a computer or flip through a paper directory One of my favorite features is the ability to look at local pharmacies As the app evolves it has lots of potential if more and more physicians use it the ability for example to message other docs directly curbside consults etc or docs to put exactly what kind of info they want to share to facilitate and improve communication with other colleagues                     Excellent app for physicians Duke National Champion

I live here in Austin and I am totally impressed with DocBook Travis County Medical Society is way ahead of the entire nation because physicians here in Austin have the ability to have so much infomation in the palm of their hands I can find other docs by name specialty and even by their pics The cherry on top of all this every pharmacy in Austin is already there on the app with maps and phone numbers I love it                     Super cool application GenDoc

Great method for empoying an existing database into the exisitng iPhone contact list app and charge a subscription Needs to be dynamic and much more robust for the high cost V2 should incorporate the ability to add more data doctor specific lines cell phone fax lines IM e mail addresses websites A note section for additional ad hoc data days in office office location personnel names This app can only improve with time and refinement Great start Looking forward to V2 to justify the expense         Nice app but static in design momma4
