It does not play any rhythms just some weird character show up when I select any kind of Rhythm Does not work on my Ipad

This app will not play any rhythms despite what is claimed It will display only the notation for them no sound It is not even obvious how one might listen to the recorded sounds The drum plays but I bought the app to learn the rhythms Ipad 2 with iOS 6 Something is very wrong
