This is an excellent app Ive only gone on one Detour so far Trash in Bayview SF but will definitely be going on more soon                 Excellent app

Such a cool journey and experience with audio input So easy to download and start Loved it                 Superb

I bought a tour off of this app and it charged me my iTunes account but the app still shows that I havent purchased it yet When I try to purchase it again it says that there was an error connecting to the iTunes Store Id wait until they iron out the issues before buying tours     Charged me but didnt work

Dont waste your money     The app simply doesnt work

Ive done two Detours of San Francisco after living here for nearly 20 years and have loved every second of them While I agree it can be tricky to back up and replay segments I found the usability to be pretty intuitive Its amazing how the audio keeps pace with you I never felt I had to hurry or adjust my natural pace to make sure I heard the right thing at the right place It knows where you are and waits for you to get to the next audio point whenever you get there Youre always driving the pace Also the sound design is great and the narrators are engaging And they keep adding new ones After Cool Gray City and Fishermans Wharf I think Ill do the Castro next Looking forward to seeing the city I love in a whole new light                 Great way to discover a city

What an incredible way to spend the afternoon in Austin My sister has been living in Austin for eight years she and I took the Detour yesterday and went to places we had never discovered before This was an amazing way to interact and preserve history I only wish there were more detours in Texas As a history teacher I would be very interested in developing more of these audio tours Thank you for adventure                 Excellent Adventure

Had a couple of days solo in San Francisco and decided to give this app a try Not my first time in SF so was looking for something just outside the normal tourist enterprise Detour was an absolutely perfect fit Allow yourself a little extra time to occasionally pause the tour for your own detour The individual tours are expertly procured and produced One of those few paid apps where I really felt good value                 An elegant well produced app

Well made app with really interesting location enabled walking tours You can go with friends and Bluetooth sync your tours                 Fun app

App started off but when I paused and tried to resume it would not glad it was free     Stopped working

I absolutely love this app The tours are very informative and well paced They feel like your own personal tour guide Ive done 3 and I cant wait to do more                 Awesome

Detour was amazing It was immersive and informational in a fantastic storytelling sort of way We chose the Fishermans Wharf because it was where we were I figure if wed been close to another part of town we would have tried one of the others That being said it was great and such a lovely way to experience a tourist filled area It was wonderful at giving you permission to do things that might have been out of my comfort zone                 Fantastic

I had the same problem of not getting the app after I purchased Iturned off on phone and it appeared Now not sure how it works to start the tour It does not start Maybe providing a little guidance in the app would be nice Maybe too new of app        New user

What a fun way to spend an afternoon Ive lived in Austin 18 years and hadnt been to several spots mentioned The detail is impressive I look forward to more in Austin and cant wait to try this out in other cities                 Brilliant idea

I finally got to use the Detour Austin after downloading it in March during SXSW It was an interesting tour although alot of the talking was not necessary get to the point I did get to discover some things I didnt know about this Weird city It did have a few gliches close to the beginning of the tour It wasnt very intuitive GPS wise It sent us 3 blocks north of where we were supposed to be Luckily we knew where we were supposed to be and back tracked quickly Secondly While I love this city and I feel pretty safe here I skipped the part that took us down to Waller Creek The smell of urine from the street level was enough to keep me from going below street level There was a homeless man sleeping on the landing to the stairs that take you down to the creek Looking down you could see about 5 more homeless men sleeping on the creek rocks We back tracked and walked around the creek picking up the tour at the next corner I recommend the tour but be aware of where you are and definitely dont do the tour at night Id love to see a tour that highlights where different music artists have lived and performed Afterall Austin is the Live Music Capitol of the World A tour you can do in the car would be great too Looking forward to the developer adding more tours for Austin              Pretty good but wil be better with improvements

The Detours are always really thought provoking while leaving you appreciating the little things of your city that youve never kew about The app itself also works great with its arrow guiding you to the tour start and its syncing for groups Highly recommended that you try it with a friend Itll make you a fanboygirl too                 A New Way to see Your City

The app is awesome Definitely the best of its kind It works smoothly has everything I want for a walking tour app and vast varieties of interesting topics I usually get lost pretty easily the GPS on this app helps me navigate easily I downloaded both making market street and sf architecture both are super informative and fun Wish I had more time in SF to do the other tours                 Best walking tour app

I have loved in San Francisco for a long time but through Detour I learned a lot of new things about my city There were many delightful gems on the detours I took I plan to take many more                 Delightful gems

We were the only tourists around for the part of this tour after leaving the basilica steps I was a bit concerned walking around the crowded market streets and park sticking out like sore thumbs There were a lot of police around and no one bothered us but I would not recommend this tour for the normal tourist to Paris The story itself was good and the app functioned well though the directions around the KFC and after walking through the market were a bit hard to follow           Illegal Paris is not for the first time visitor to Paris

Dont nag for a review Make sure all detours are more then 1 hour if you are going to charge 499 Besides that an absolute joy to use I love detour                 My favorite app

Did my first tour today in Paris Great user experience and happy it doesnt require any data usage if you download while on wifi Quality of the tour was super too theyre clearly selective about whose producing the tours                 Beautiful app and starting to get more tours

It is very disappointing to try to go back and listen to a portion when you have left the area It wont replay it Also the narrated directions often leave out street names saying only things like go to the corner I love this concept but it needs a lot of design work           Cool idea but too many design flaws

I cant wait to do ALL of the SF walks                 The Austin tour was amazing

I had a blast doing this with friends were going to do them all Love the group functionality so that you can all be on the same page We are all local and really enjoyed going to new and different places Highly recommend                 SO MUCH FUN

I have lived in San Francisco for a long time and fancy myself a mini tour guide for all of my outta town friends I learned so much in the first 30 minutes of my first Detour that I felt like a total fraud of an SF citizen Great app easy and intuitive The fact that you can leave the phone in your pocket for the most part is great I hope for more great content                 Great way to tour

Absolutely incredible This was so much fun to do in a new city Its quirky creative and so wonderfully RadioLab that I cant wait for more It is still somewhat limited in tour numbers but with the obvious amount of time and energy that goes into each one theyll be worth the wait Lucky me Im in CA Now I have 10 great reasons for day trips to SF                 Austin

A group of us were in Austin for a wedding and had a blast following the Detour It was easy to follow fun intriguing and definitely lead us into parts of Austin we wouldnt have otherwise seen We ended up using a small Bluetooth boom box as we had trouble with the Group component and not everyone had an iPhone              Perfect personal walking tour

I loved audio guides as a kid and always wished there were guides for more than just museums Detour does that and also incorporates location and images beautifully It does drain battery very quickly and they need more content but its still young so I get it                 Wonderful

Did the San Francisco market street detour on my last day in town It was awesome Wed been up and down market street multiple times and it looks so different now after the detour Wish I had time to do all of the tours Cant wait for this to expand and come to Kansas City If youre in San Fran or Austin download this app No regrets                 Thanks

Absolutely love the concept and execution did the architecture tour of SF and thought it was a blast Never was able to successfully subscribe but beyond that really pleased with app                 Great few hours

Myself and 2 colleagues paid for and downloaded the little Italy tour this and went to the start point to find the content had vanished and did not launch on arriving at the destination Very disappointing and a waste of our time No online instant support for such problems     Downloaded tour vanisheddidnt start

Stories are engaging bringing places to life for people who may never have had the occasion to organically happen into a place and come away with an emotional connection that otherwise wouldve never been Sometimes easy to get off track Work in progress              This marriage of way finding and storytelling is not without its bumps

I read about this app in AFAR magazine and tried it out in San Francisco Did the two hour tour and enjoyed the local knowledge on places to grab a bite to eat and also a few cool vistas that were off the beaten path of tourists I had a hard time getting the app to recognize that I purchased a tour but after restarting it everything worked Most tours are 499 a little pricy considering its just an audio guide cant see myself buying several of them Overall its well worth it if you have an afternoon to burn              Cool App
