I ve had this app for a few years and barely used it I tried several times recently to use it but to no avail I m deleting it and going with a different one Not sure what the problem is or was         It used to work but recently stopped Shapnup

Compared it to a high end db meter and it was with in a 3 db range of my phone It seems to be closer to a db c metering style                     Works great on iPhone 5 Atlantis_Base

This app seems to be pretty accurate I compared it with my Radio Shack meter and it reads within a few db Only change I would like to see is a digital readout in addition to the analog one I think a lot of the negative reviews are from people that don t understand how sol meters work Even in a room you think is silent a meter will still read 30 40db that s just the way it is                     Pretty accurate and free Jb7777777666666777777

Those of you silly folks who gave this app one or two stars need to google how decibels work and what sounds are measured at For instance a whisper is 30 db Normal conversation is around 60 to 80 db Sounds shouldn t be more than 85db to protect your hearing This app runs pretty close to accurate It s gets five stars from me because it s free and looks nice Worth the space on your device                     Great And free JENNIFER MCNALLY

iPhone 4 w iOS 4 1 indicates 79 dB in my vehicle without the radio on and A C fan on low Actual dB is more like 63 A calibration trim adjustment would be a big plus     Not even close to being accurate WAvara
