I use Crystal Synth the Plug in version in Logic and Pro Tools with a VST wrapper and I love it Great textures and Tingling to Erie sounds And not I can use it live with my iPad Great Same great sounds Easy to use and get around on Thank you                 GREAT APP

Ive had the AU for years and to this days use the presets modified a bit to taste on almost every track and i have almost all the big boy synths                 Still a solid synth

Very clever and complete While its appearance looks simple theres a lot power under the hood If youre well versed in understanding syntheses then youll marvel at the options you have to shape versatile sounds from simple waveforms If youre not then its a lot of fun anyway The control over the envelopes and routing remind me of Absynth even if the architectural presentation is different The basic control of sound shapes and mix is there Kudos to the developers for providing such a level of control I had to remove the latency immediately though as a lot of artifacts began drifting into the sounds the more complex they got All in all very intelligent and a great fun for fans of modular sound production                 As close to NIs Absynth as youll see on iPad

No good The idea is great It crashes on ipad2 with latest OS It sounds are ok until you try to adjust parimeters then all clicks and then crash No good Newest update does not solve the crash issue Horrible app This app is no fun The sounds are not up to par with other synth apps like Animoog and TC11 I do realize that it is cheaper in price but the bar has been set Adjusting parameters in this app is no fun The interface is not too good I would recommend avoiding this app and getting something better     clicks and crashes

the sound just starts becoming distorted and buggy about as soon as I press a note on the iphone 4 Pretty interested in this app it worked for a second and it could sound cool please fix        buggin

Huge bang for the buck Amazing to have this great synth on the iPadand to be able to play it from my external MIDI keyboard is really awesome Love the feature of being able to share patches with the VSTAU plugin version of this synth too                 So cool

Also excels at evolving rhythms and drones This is an iPad classic app with plenty to explore                 Excels at Pads and Atmospheres

The only complaint I have about this synth is the aesthetic could be improvedthe app icon is horrible Other than that this is an amazing instrument and should be in any serious musicians arsenal of tools I love it                 Excellent

The Crystal algorithms have been some of my favorites for years and now its in a friendly format for the iPad Takes a little getting used to but the same amazing Crystal character is in there Well done                 Elegant cool functional

This music synth is a breadandbutter sound maker that Ive been relying on for years first on the desktop then the iPhone and now the iPad This update adds a couple of bells and whistles to the mainstay features which continue to be outstanding lots of good preset sounds plus the ability to be creative and make your own Lots of functionality with a very userfriendly interface This can be used standalone but works best when coupled with a MIDI keyboard Recommended both for beginners or advanced alike                 Classic keeps getting better

Decent engine however within 10 minutes of owning its crashed twice not sure what to think about that Play surface stopped responding once next time it crashed when trying the record function           Decent instrument

This virtual instrument is one of the best for the iPad you create amazing soundscapes and the quality and control are topnotch It only need virtual midi to work at the same time with other apps                 One of the best

Yes I want to buy crystal synth xt twice My suggestion is an in app purchase for the less feature rich crystal synth allowing crystal synth to function as a second instance on crystal synth xt Yes I will be willing to pay the same cost for a second instance of crystal synth xt I love it that much I want to support you guys I dont know if that is too much trouble dealing with in app purchases but I would gladly buy it I use multiple instances of NLog and Sunrizer but the flaw with those apps is I cannot run two instances of either on an iPhone or iPod because neither are universal Crystal synth and crystal synth xt are already both universal Ideally for receiving midi data from genome and lemur i would run both instances of crystal synth audio through audiobus into whatever iOS DAW Im running currently Sorry if this is not where you want suggestions I cannot find a valid contact link So if I have not made it abundantly clear crystal synth xt is really really great Right after this review I am going to go buy the basic version of crystal and cross my fingers Btw thank you for the Dropbox updates very useful                 I love this synth Sell it to me again

Sup with the horrid icon I would of thought by now we would of at least had one to compliment the Retina Display Long overdue for a redesign              Can we get a new Icon

Ya know I really didnt dig too deeply into Crystal on the Mac though Ive had it for many years This is totally my loss After diving into it on the ipad it has become one of my favorites alongside Nave and several others Crystals modulation routing matrix among other features just make it such an incredible tool for making fantastic sounds that can evolve or cut or whatever you need Its crazy good Highly recommended I am a professional composer engineermusiciansound designer and Im crazy grateful that this was ported to the ipad So good                 Just fantastic for sound design

A synth I would buy again and again its deep ridiculously versatile gorgeous sound and design actual genius                 Great Period

Its great that you can share patches with the desktop version but the lack of polyphony on the iOS version is a serious deficiency Its confounding that the desktop version supports polyphony on a 500 MHz PC but the iOS app doesnt support polyphony even on an iPad 2 with multiple 1 GHz cores As of this writing the apps description makes no mention of this frustrating limitation     No Polyphony No Fun

I have several synths of all different types and Crystal is extremely impressive The tweaking abilities are enormous not to mention the mind boggling possibilities that come with that It really is a tweakers dream Its all laid in a very intuitive interface I found no need for documentation Maybe if youre new to synthesizer basics a little instruction might help but its just laid out so well even the dimmest lit light bulb could deal with this The presets are all pretty darn good as well very unique and creative Its easy to take one of those and make it your own with some creative tweaking with up to 3 different voices multiple delay layers envelope and everything else you can possibly desire Exporting to other apps is easy as it gets Just record a performance go to the other app and paste Too easy The price is a fantastic value I just cant recommend this enough                 One of the best synths iOS has to offer

This synth has some amazing features and capacities that will blow your mind I love everything about the iOS version of Crystal especially on my iPad excepting its monophony The free VSTAU plugin I use in Ableton on my Mac is polyphonic so it must have something to do with device capabilities With the new iPad Air 2 and its 2Gigs of ram we may just see polyphony on iOS sooner than later While Crystal on the iPhone behaves mostly like a preset player with some morphing capacities iPad users get the full sound design capabilities of the Desktop counterpart which ROCKS because now I can craft sounds with Crystal right from the comfortable convenience of my my iPad I decided to download and give the VST a go on my Mac before buying XT several hours later I emerged from the outer rings of AlphaSetiIV and purchased CrystalXT for my iPhone My only regret is not buying an iPad sooner                 Massive Powerhouse

Since the original release of Crystal VST from Green Oak Software back when Windows XP was the flag ship I was hooked I entered one of my presets for the contest and have used this Synth as an inspiration for songs that I have recorded in the studio I love this app but I have ONLY ONE ISSUE that I wish Green Oak would maybe look into and that would be an easier way to get presets saved to Dropbox and a way to bring Widows versions of presets back into the app Could their possibility be a menu that would open and show the files on drop box and a way to select the presets you wish to transfer I love this app and I have given many 5 star reviews here as well as every VST website I can find I recommend it to every musician I know Its an amazing tool that even if you are NEW to Soft Synths you have an area that you can MORPH two presets that you like INTO ONE BRAND NEW PRESET Choose a preset to be the Father and another preset to be the Mother hit the BREED button and you have your very own preset to NAME The MODULATION MATRIX is the staple that sets this synth apart you can filter on the TONS of tones and samples in 1 of the three Voices each Osc has amazing quality The rich reverb and delays can be tweaked millions of ways A MUST for any synth owner Green Oak please make a dashboard menu for easy access to upload and download presets are o Dropbox a clean GUI Something simple thank you Dev team for making a dream app                 Power House with Ultimate Control Nothing Even Comes CLOSE

This thing has lots of parameters I tried the VST version of this and it had lots of potential but on the iPad it is easier to use If you like designing evolving pads this app rocks Lots of sonic potential comparable to PPG Wavegenerator Audiobus support would rock                 Versatile synth app

The sonic possibilities are good so if you want to tinker around with making patches its great If you want to then use those patches for music it goes downhill somewhat due to latency and limited midi capability limited cc mapping foretc Crystal synth has definite potential though and is a bargain for the price even for a single evenings tinkering              Top tier ideas 2nd tier implementation but it sounds good

This is a definite keeper for me great sounds user interface is quite useful some real interesting sounds besides                 Simply awesome

I really like this app because it is so inspiring and makes very rich sounds I could play it all day with the way the music swirls and moves I can breed new presets so there are always new presets to play with Well done                 Killer app

I like the sounds except there are a lot of crackles and pops going on Something about the sound engine isnt optimized There are other synths out there doing as much or more than Crystal XT and they dont seem to have the issue           Not bad but glitchy
