Corel Cinco for Painter

Still doesnt work Will not connect to Painter X3 Way to go     Uptodate review

This app does not work at all with Corel Painters 2015 version Please remove it from the store so others dont waste their time trying to make it work like I did     Crap

Yes Cinco works as advertised but lots of people are having trouble making the connection through their wifi network I had the following problem Using a Mac with all the Painter and iPad updates and with all the correct settings as directed in the Cinco setup I kept getting the message Connection failure bad URL I went to Corels support website and learned that your authentication code cannot be more than 11 characters I shortened mine to six letters and was then able to connect Cinco to Painter I hope this will help someone having the same problem Corel needs to improve the instructions included in the Cinco setup I have seen this in so many software products Great product lousy instructions              Works if you can make the connection

Once you figure out how to configure this app to Painter it works well Painter must be the latest 122 update and both painter and iPad must be on the same network in other words when I followed the directions given on the support website I could use the app It works like a tablet telling Painter what tools to use by using the touch screen on the iPad to communicate with your computer I hope I see where this app is going that Corel will expand its capabilities to that of a drawing tablet to use with Painter and if this is going to happen it will be wonderful Since this app is a new concept new tool to use and new to the app store I hope people will give it a chance it really is a handy way to change tools colors and other things while working in Painter on my computer Check it out its free              pretty cool idea and works well

I have been using second screen software to accomplish this in the past I even went as far as writing my own auto hotkey config based on someones touch ui script but this is really handy I just got this an hour ago and I know there is more I can configure but I am very impressed Thank you Corel                 Wow just wow

I would love to fully review this app and see how much it adds to the Painter experience The problem is I am not sure they tested this on different networks The app can see my computer just fine since it is on a WEP shared network but it cannot connect and will time out     I dont think they may have tested this out thoroughly

Once I was able to figure out how to connect it works great For those who use Macs and are having a tough time connecting in my case it sees the Service Name but when selected on the iPad it just hangs up theres a workaround In the System PreferencesNetwork area in the Network Name drop down list select Create Network this can appear in your Wifi list on the upper part of Finder window create a Computer to Computer network log into that on your iPad and you should be able to connect Maybe this will work also for Microsoft Windows also                 Works great and a workaround

I have to say I LOVE this app Its super easy to set up you do need to make sure Corel Painter is updated to the latest version and your iPad and computer are on the same network Once you have it set up its smooth sailing It gives me a lot more options than I can fit on my Wacom Intuos and it makes the painting experience much faster Great job Corel                 FANTASTIC I wish more companies did this

Giving it three stars since I havent used it yet but at least I finally got it to connect In my case the problem was due to firewall settings However I had to poke around and discover this for myself there has been no help of any kind from Corel I wont get into details since there are many variations of firewalls out there However Ill say that you need to be sure your FW is configured to learn new attempted connections That solved the connection problem for me Now I have to see how usefull the app is by using it for a while           Working Now

Always the same thing with Painter I have had this app since version 3 They make it difficult to log in when everyone else is easy peezy     Sighhhh

I agree with the other reviewer My equipment is located on the same network but when trying to type in the Authentication code it does not recognize it Hopefully you guys can fix this because its an innovative idea     Not connecting
