Cook`n Recipes

Ive owned the PC verson from a few years now and loved the thought of syncing recipes so I could access them on my iPad Unfortunately the sync feature does not work still So that means Im still relying on Microsoft One Note to sync recipes so I can access on my iPad I would really love to have 1 spot for my recipes and I would like that spot to be Cookn even paid to upgrade the PC software to get this working Unfortunately it looks like that wont be the case Much as I dislike Microsoft at least One Note works     STILL Not Working

Got to say I love this app The latest update that allows the capture of recipes on any website rocks                 LOVE

I absolutely love the new design especially that larger recipe pictures Syncs without a hitch Cant wait for the new updates but for now am very happy with the redesign                 LOVE IT

I have had no problems with this Love it I can share my recipes with any of my clients or friends at any time over email or text Keep up the great work Cookn                 Love it

We have been users of Cookn for several years on Mac platform and more recently on our iPads We have been thrilled with the improvements that have been made on the desktop program Like others we also have experienced synchronization issues with the cloud and with our iPads However we are now very happy that those problems are in the past We want to thank the support and development team at DVO for helping us out several times over the recent past We look forward to the next update                 Great Improvements

This is a great application for the whole family My kids love finding new recipes to try while I prefer going with our family classics                 Great app for whole family

I received an email the other day from Cookn saying that they had issued a bata version of their cookn for IPad software so I deleted my old software and loaded the new version It works like would expect it to It synced fast and all my recipes are on my IPad Great job                 It Works

Id heard such good things about this app that I was excited to try it It hasnt disappointed and just keeps getting better all the time with frequent updates and new features                 Great App

First three attempts to sync did not work S I received error 11 hours later it synced and appears to work correctly I agree with other review that the app appears to be better arranged and the new look is nice I am waiting for the app to be functional Will continue with review when if updates occur UPDATE 051415 Last two update were flawless The updates work flawless DVO has it going now Thank you Dan                 Cookn App 2

When I opened this update it said it needed to perform a onetime sync sync began it started stalled then shut off completely     Latest update wont sync at all

This is so sharp it makes Legos seem dull                 Superb

I have this loaded on my IPad It used to work but now it closes itself almost as soon as it opens Its absolutely useless I read a CookN article telling me that the white version had problems and there was a new yellow version I deleted that version and installed the yellow one I havent explored all the features yet but at least it opens and I can get to my recipe collections              Wont open Revised

This way hyped as an improvement over the earlier version Unfortunately it is not and is also plagued by major functional issues even after updates I am hopeful they will fix these issues as it has so much potential I am disappointed they dont work out these issues before release and that it is taking so long to get this right They continue to promise features that were supposed to work when purchased but cant deliver Internet search still does not work     Another disappointing Cook n App

I too am disappointed Takes forever to open the live feed I dont like the capture feed that no longer gives you the option to save in your cookbook but dumps it into a download file I cannot figure anyway to reclassify to my cookbook     Liked older version better

I just switched over to the new app and had no problems syncing all of my recipes Everything is working as it should be my recipes load quickly and the format looks good on the iPhone 5s The Cookn software is my go to recipe organizer and I really appreciate all the work that is going into continually improving and adding new features to both software and apps thanks for a great program                 Nice complement to the software and working great

There are two Cookn apps on the App Store The first called Cookn and the second called Cookn Recipes I have tried both Cookn Recipes was able to handle my large database of over 11 thousand recipes with 2 thousand plus images The Sync was much faster The app just called Cookn was not able to handle all the recipes and had no images but was able to capture and email recipes I prefer Cookn Recipes and look forward to the two apps combining their functions into one app                 Cookn Recipes

After many many attempts to use the IOS app to sync with my extensive 23000 recipes Cookn database I tried it again in the last few days and it finally works Congratulations DVO keep those updates coming                 It works

Here we go again A cloud that is full of rain and a support system that is like using dialup They must be having so many problems that they just cant respond        Same old problems

Downloaded this the other day and it synced my 500 recipes in less than 10 minutes May have spoken too soon as now it crashes every time I try to sync It gets to about 45 synced and then crashes back to desktop screen I know its early yet to pass judgement but its becoming reminiscent of the old failed versionlets hope for a fix soon 42015Update Deleted App resynced from cloud and everything seems fine nowwill keep an eye on it Evening updateadded a few new recipes to Cookn 11 for PCsynced to cloud then tried to sync to new Appcrashed at 40 completiondeleted App reinstalled then synced fineobvious work to be done but I remain optimistic 42415must give credit where credit is due I had problems syncing with this new App I contacted support and Dan Oaks responded with several back and forth emails Finally he was able to get the error I was getting This emailing each other started late one evening and went on for probably a good hour and a half Rather than saying its late Dan stuck with it until the problem was resolved I am very grateful for his handson approach As a result things are working very smoothlythanks to Dan Oaks for being there for me and for working it out until things were working properly 72315Everything is working properly now thanks Dan Still a very long wait getting the App fully operational but progress is being madethank you 8115Still wish the updates included useful things such as being able to directly enter a recipe Seems like this would have a higher priority than grocery lists etc Other than that works great                 Not Sure Yet

I cant wait for all the features to be available So far everything looks great Thanks for this much awaited update                 Finally

I really liked being able to add a recipe from my phone Now I cant add one from scratch unless I go through my computer Please fix this        Got rid of good stuff

I could tell your last app was your first app and I know how difficult it can be to launch it without bugs But I still enjoyed using your constant recipe feed That was awesome It really saved me on Valentines Day However this new app is so much better than the first Wow I love that it syncs perfectly with my computer and I can look up all of my recipes from my iPad and iPhone from the kitchen This is going to be so much fun Thanks for always making my life easier                 Wow So much better

Love the new update with the shopping list Ive used it a few times since then and it really helps when I go to the store I never have to go back for that forgotten item                 Finally we make the list

Overall it is better than version 2 however it needs the following 1 A way to captures from live feed to mobile app 2 Get rid of the adds 3 Include pictures with recipes           Version 3

The new look is nice but the app needs more work I downloaded it once and everything looked good but once I started using the App it just stopped working I deleted it and reloaded and again it worked for a bit and stopped working again Disappointed that I cannot use it        Needs more work
