Commentary Magazine is a wonderful conservative periodical thoughtful reflective and never hysterical as so much other political commentary tends to be from left and right This app is clean and well executed My only complaint is that you cannot zoom in on text or otherwise enlarge the text                 Add zooming function and it s 5 stars drf6397
I trust these guys because they are fair And they have a sense of humor Thank you for keeping me company through times of loneliness and for jogging my philosophical political brain for the past year Thank you for keeping the candle burning                     Grateful for this podcast spotpeavey
I am liberal to the point of socialism I think everything John Abe and Noah believe is garbage But I love their podcast I don t hate listen though I just want to know what the other side thinks what their experiences are etc The luxury here is that the Commentary guys are able to thoughfully dispassionately and methodically articulate a political point of view without hyperbole without naked partisan politics and without personal attacks on those they disagree with It s a lost art of politics in the age of the 24 7 news cycle and my hat s off to the hosts AND I have to give props to Podhoretz for the occasional New York musical drop in and Game Of Thrones reference How about a pop culture podcast eh                     I don t agree with them on anything but I love this podcast vajohna
But I can t simply because there s no unpinch to enlarge feature Commentary s articles are usually well written interesting and long but how this tiny font can be read by anyone for a long period is beyond me So an otherwise highly desirable App will largely go unused         I d love to rate this App highly Gmck1948
I like Commentary magazine I moved my subscription to my iPad App Store with automatic renewal After my subscription renewed I lost access to Commentary online with archive and single article downloads About the app 1 It works OK if all you want is to read keep the current issue or those for which you ve previously paid 2 On a seemingly random basis all the issues get deleted and you have to reload them 3 Reloading is a long and laborious process 4 As mentioned there is no way to save single articles for later access             App works OK but no Desktop connection DPO2K
Have had to remove and re download app every time I try to read issue Unless resolved I will cancel subscription         Good content terrible app Tech1949
I almost made the same mistake The app s convenient and good looking but I wish there were a way to change type sizes mark up the text and forward an occasional article                 Thank you Jocalgal etaoin.shrdlu
I love Commentary magazine and the ipad app has a great display format However I discovered a problem when I went to the website to print an article that I wanted to mark up with a highlighter The website doesn t recognize iTunes app users I phoned the help line I was told that you must buy the ipad app via the magazine s website in order to have access to their website edition Bummer They suggested that I cancel the iTunes purchase and repurchase the app via their site             Buy the app via the Commentary website Jocalgal
Commentary was once described as the greatest magazine in the English language It still is Ed Jonathan Tobin is one of the top analysts in the country nah the world On a daily basis he produces 3 or so commentaries about politics economics world affairs social psychological or intellectual affairs that are consistently brilliant No more adjectives required He s a must read The contributors to Commentary are equally talented in their own fields and consistently produce important articles of consequence It s been reported that Jeanne Kirkpatrick came to the attention of Pres Reagan through an article of hers published in Commentary Besides being important and relevant the articles in Commentary are so well written it a luscious delight to read them If you live on a desert island or D C and can have only one app on your iPad make it Commentary If you have time to read only one publication read Commentary s monthly issues and daily blogs If you re not smart enough to read Commentary just leave a current issue of the magazine out on your coffee table or leave your iPad on your table at Starbucks open to a J Tobin commentary and you ll at least look smart                     Commentary a must read Consultingdoc

Love the magazine but as someone who already pays for a print subscription to Commentary I feel entitled to access digital issues in the Commentary app without paying for them a second time Why is Commentary punishing print subscribers What kind of a model is this     Doesn t recognize existing subscribers Kobi4322
Online digital subscription does NOT include IPad App use but doesn t explicitly say so ANYWHERE in the subscription process I m immediately put off by Commentary s evident lack of integrity in their Digital subscription process and marketing efforts Very Disappointed This is indefensible     INTENTIONALLY DECEPTIVE Indefensible yochanan07

I have been a digital subscriber since June 2011 I have used Safari to download each issue This app does not recognize me as a subscriber I guess I will have to keep using Safari What s the point of this app then I agree with the truth in advertising I cannot get the iPad app to recognize me as a digital subscriber This app stinks Not befitting the quality of the magazine Can they mimik good apps like The Atlantic or Bloomberg And their customer service has no clue got nowhere after calling them And look at their instructions to troubleshoot problems pathetically complicated southcornell     App does not recognize digital subscribers southcornell
I like the content from Commentary so don t get my following comments wrong They pertain solely to the advertisement for digital subscriptions and how this app relates to them I am a new digital subscriber and believed I was getting a digital subscription viewable on the web or iPad Doesn t seem to be so for the iPad They should be more clear about that on their web site     Truth in advertising Archimboldo

I downloaded this app using OS 4 3 5 I subscribed for one year I downloaded the September and October issues and loved both content and format After upgrading to OS 5 0 however I had to reinstall the app Not only that I had to resubscribe Then I had to purchase a single issue in order to read October s magazine Not happy about that at all I now have to figure out how to get the single issue subscription charge reversed without losing access to October s magazine Not happy about that at all     Great format but problems with subscription George P. Wood
