i like this app but sometimes i want it to just grab the color not speak it back to me it would be nice if the app could be updated to respect the position of the iPhone mute switch and offer a mute setting both are needed add this and i give it another star           Neat idea Needs muting

Im sure this app is probably amazing for people who want to spend hours learning the multiple names for blue But I bought this for my dad who is blind and he tells me its useless He just wants to know if his shirt is blue Instead he gets about 10 other names until he finally gets something that says blue I know this isnt what the app is made for and Im making a suggestion rather than a complaint Hope you can help The exposure from the blog is probably causing you great sales and a bunch of new whinerssorry to add to the list of whiners Hope you can help with an update              Basic setting PLEASE

I wanted a simple color identifier app I did not what one that had color such as Moonmist and coffee cream I just wanted to know if my clothes matched That is all This app has too much clutter in it Simplify it        This app is too much

As a colorblind individual I have been looking for an app like this my entire life I thought I had found it but the overly complicated color names make it difficult to determine if something is blue or purple Im not sure the developers even realize what a killer app they almost developed Im leaving a 5star review anyhow in the hopes they come back                 Good not great

A must have tool for the graphic designers arsenal The hexidecimal coding is an amazing feature within itself The live update can help you easily narrow out exactly which color youre trying to identify as it refreshes almost instantaneously So far no bugs or glitches Color coding has been accurate thus far                 All names aside

This app in its present form qualifies as a great idea gone wrong Most of the colors that the app identifies are only known to a handful of designers Do you know what color abbey kokoda or Chicago is I am looking forward to the version when this rises above the status of stupid toy and actually becomes useful to the 6 of males who are colorblind to some degree and maybe to someone else as well        Great idea but should have used vernacular color names

You are on the right path here This app could benefit millions of us who are color blind But what we need is to have all the fancylabeled reds called red all the cleversounding greens called green and so on I have wanted this my whole life but never imagined technology would one day offer it It is almost here Now its only a software enhancement you need to make Interested Ill be your beta tester as I suspect other reviewers will           Hopeful path for the color blind

I just downloaded this and walked it around In and around the outside of the house Its a fairly bright day with a little cloud cover I have no inside lights on just the light that comes through the windowsskylights This app keeps telling me things are colored with blues violets and pinks that arent there My tree trunks are not violet my house is not blue and my wood floors are not pale blue This app is worthless for me and Ill be deleting it Also you cannot turn off the voice that tells the colors even though the color is written on screen Finally menu options are not where I expect them to be The open in button has menu items like toggle torch and use exotic colors I could easily get over most faults but the colors have to be right     I dont trust the colors

This app is terrible There are too many names that dont relate to colors It needs a simple option for red blue green light green dark red etc It needs an option for ROYGBIV with light and dark of each plus white brown and black     Too many names

Nice idea but needs an update pronto I scanned the same color but simple by tilting the phone I got two different color readings Also I should be able to have the app tell me basic colors        Need a basic color setting

Im redgreen colorblind and am very excited to have a new tool for situations when I need the color of something but cant ask I have purchased the app and would request a more limited color setting to force it into maybe 3040 colors with more common names Hex codes are awesome tooId love to have a switch though Thank you                 Colorblind

I am a blind person and I cannot use this app because none of the colors are very realistic or correct for what I can tell It would be great if some updates could include a new setting to have normal basic colors instead of weird crazy ones     Unrealistic

Needs two things simple colors to be spoken Like red green blue etc Also needs open to turn led light on on the iPhone 4 as a torch so it works better in low light           Alpine

I am currently helping plan my own wedding so picking out colors is a huge part Ive been using this app to nail down exactly what colors we are using and to get hex codes for use in our invitations                 Great little app

This app is great I am blind and I have not been able to see colors around me all my life I love the way this app describes me what colors are around me and you need and fun ways It really helps out when I cannot see you because my eyes do not work           Color identifier

It seems to work great for what its advertised as But Im colorblind and was hoping for an app that would simply tell me things like whether the shirt Im about to buy is blue or purple red or pink to avoid common embarrassments for a somewhat modestly dressed guy Instead I get a ton of names that dont mean anything to me as Im not a graphic designer Im sure theyre legitimate but they dont help me I know its an odd request to ask for an app to be less detailed and thats why Im giving this a high rating It would be great if I could click somewhere to find where the color is on the color wheel That little addition would make this app exactly what Ive wanted for 23 years now              Great But not practical for colorblind

The current version crashes every time I try to manually select a colour and never refreshes when I select autorefresh In other words it no longer works at all     Unusable

Im redgreen colorblind and I wish Id discovered this app earlier It comes in handy when Im shopping and need to figure out the color of something I often mistake purple and blue Ive tried other apps similar to this but they always give strange names for colors that I dont understand like Tapa or Sushi This app has the ability to do that but it can also give you a simpler definition like Light Blue or Dark Red 5 stars hands down Love it                 Great for help with colorblindness

This is a great tool although it still needs improvements I see great potential with this tool The color identifier focuses on a crosshair section whereas it should focus on a wider area and gather the average color I tried recommending this to a friend but its not available in the google play store           Greatness in progress

Where can you find a database of these colors online I want to be able to save colors and then find them somewhere else to buy my favorite colored clothes              Love the app

I thought this app would be great for colorblind people like myself but what the heck are Aztec Shark Zeus and others I just want to know if this shirt Im planning to buy is yellow or light green If you added a simple color option this could be a hugely helpful app for millions of people           Simpler color names please

This app works just as it is described but there needs to be a setting where you can choose between simple or complex color names I am colorblind and all I want to know is whether my jacket is blue or purple green or yellow brown or red etc Instead this app identifies the colors as Hati Boulder or other Nontraditional colors           Works but not what I want
