CNN App for iPad

You have been my favorite Now way too many problems Lights flash behind your app when I am on CNN We have 4 devices and it does it on all Does NOT do it on any of our other apps only CNN Too many ads Can never play video because of ads You are updated Hard to read your news with all the flashing Please fix I hate to put you in the cloud CNN has always been great in the past     Please fix

Now CNN is auto playing ads on the home page I have a data plan and this app eats data I am deleting it     CNN auto play ads are terrible

App is garbage Cant load any video or stream anything yet does not seem to have any difficulty loading ads Just sits there and counts down how much free time you have left     Thanks but no thanks

Logged in it would not play live debate Kept crashing Reloaded app several times     Debate Live

The only thing updated on this app are a few new stories each day in each category I have seen the same stories run for weeks at a time Its like an old magazine you have already read I know that several of the other news apps do this but not as much and not as long as the CNN app        Get new content

Editors are asleep or numbed by the job because the writing is so poor so rife with typos and poor grammar it is really remarkable This app crashes constantly has very poor sound quality and rererecycled articles Why bother having sections if the articles are the same in each And why oh why would CNN leave articles about a trial long after the verdict has issued I cannot write this review well because the keyboard eclipses the writing space Terrible app needs improvement My cat could do a better job     No Editors at CNN App

if it had fing sound Latest update screwed that up     It would be nicer

There are so many stories every day with graphical errors and spelling errors that I believe most late elementary grade children would easily catch Is there anyone at CNN that knows what it means to proof your stories to correct these issues before they are posted or is that just something from back in the day of journalism that is no longer practiced I believe you folks need to go back to the basics of journalism education to learn this and get this corrected It is terrible how many of these errors are in a great amount of your stories Terrible journalists        Does any one at CNN know what proof read means

Completely worthless for watching live It crashes every time I tap the go live tab after Ive signed in     Total garbage for live viewing

The pictures are stunning I would like to read more stories from many more places around the globe though Nevertheless I like the overall layout of the app                 CNN

The app is good and has news the stories sometimes are too biased especially in the titles The titles are meant to grab your attention but can be very misleading if you do not read the story CNN is too prone to promote the democratic party and does not slam them like then do the republicans There are too many ads in the videos also I know it is about the money but if it is a good unbiased app people will pay to use it if it is at a reasonable price        Nice news app but biased

It is ok I used to watch CNN all the time on TV so when I could no longer do that I found comfort in the iPad app All American news sources appeared biased though when I one day found a story in Times of India about an event in the US that NO American news source had covered In shock I then added TOI I24 Aljazeera and many other foreign news apps to my iPad              Requested review

What they didnt tell you is that after 5 minutes you have to download their app Bad form And now that Ive opened it the video doesnt work Gee thanks for forcing me to download the app so I cant watch the debates Went from full functionality for web to broken for app     Cnn said debates would be free to watch

This is entertainment not news Sensational headlines lots of gushing over Trump coverage of celebs which all adds up to a waste of time for anyone who cares in a thoughtful way about news Just one step removed from the National Enquirer        Not really news

CNN is great at staying on top of the news and always worth a look But sometimes they jump too fast and look a bit silly Never as stupid as FOX                 Mostly Good

CNN app has a tendency to make my iPad crash Also the ability to back out is sometimes missing I end up having to restart the entire App I like the general format easy to read much better than CBS        CNN review

The new app wont allow you to watch live TV It asks you to sign in but there is no link to sign in Yes I have DirecTV and have watched live TV with previous versions Please fix this     Cant watch live

Application asks for a ridiculous set of permissions I had to force quit it on first use as it stopped populating anything in the screen Never led to the video promised by the web link and I couldnt locate a search function I never made it past the advertisements Im giving up     Invasive Buggy and Lacking

Of the big three cable news channels this app is the best If you miss a story live you can look back in the program and rerun the story It never buffers as others do                 The best news app

The app suffers from a tendency to lose the reader in stray commercials The From Around the Net feature is sometimes interesting but is especially aggravating because it typically drops the story halfway through and youll have to chance on it again if you want to try reading it again Aside from being particularly weak in science the reporting is NOT particularly hard hitting and tends to feature lite nonsense apparently for those who want feelgood entertainment stuff that doesnt trouble It is entirely too censored to be candid as news goes It is however an immeasurably better way to get news than from the cutiepie readers of news particularly the male one with too little base in their voices and wearing too much makeup both kinds It reflects the plastic emotive stupidity of todays knownothing society quite well however     CNN

I wish the application updated the news more frequently especially on the weekends Also the editing seems limited at best as there are often grammatical typographical or spelling errors The navigation is horrible I dont mind watching an ad but I dont want to be thrown down a wormhole where I have to quit the app to get back to the story Too many intentional misguiding ad navigations Stop it        Repetitive Wormhole advertising

The app is overloaded with apps News are late when compared to nonUS news channels like BBC Same news are reported over and over again under a different title     Regurgitating same news over and over again

CNN has been on a long slow gradual decline for years There was a time when they were the best news agency in the world Now things like spelling and grammar dont mean much to them Also they tend to miss a lot of current events If CNN were your only news source you might think that the flooding in Japan was the only thing that has happened in Asia in the last month and the Syrian crisis was the only thing happening in Europe        Has been going down hill

Been using this app 2 years but today it no longer loads Opens and I see CNN logo then it closes to main screen I did a memory reset and reinstalled the app but no change Am updated fully on device Forced to switch to something else for news so please fix ASAP           App crashes on iPad Mini

I really like CNN it always brings the news that is happening right away Its very interesting and it gets right down to the point I enjoy it very much I really like it a lot it was just it is not just any type of news its on the news in this not democratic or republican playing news I really like it theres anybody else                 RaceI like it a lot

The sound volumeis not consistent between articles some are so low you cant hear at all If you view a video when finished it brings you back to top of page and you have to scroll back down to find your place Many articles are repeats from previous days some remain for up to a week vs new news each calendar day           CNN App

CNN app is good Its my go to app for news I just wish I wouldnt be asked for my provider every time I use the app I know if you give it a few secs it will recognize your device and grant access And sometime the LIVE button doesnt work or there is more then one and you have to find the one that Works And enough With the Lexus add already              Best newsalmost

Sept 2015 new design is an improvement in a number of ways I like being able to go back four episodes Thats great But do NOT like having that ability only for certain shows That needs to be extended to all shows I also do NOT like that same day viewing is limited to the last 9 shows that aired rather than the whole day and previous day is completely unavailable This aspect is a downgrade to what we had before Not good CNN You still dont have it right Previous reviews July 2015 This app just keeps getting worse and worse Now it wont even connect and authorize through Cox communications I am OVER struggling and fighting this app just to watch a few stories It has a great concept But its execution leaves much to be desired Excessive repeats of commercials seems to have been solved but there is still video freezing and crashes There are many times I have just closed the app in disgust and walked away I do hope they will get it together at some point because again its a great idea But the bugs in this app are really holding it back from greatness April 2015 update Gets even worse I now see the brightstar ad four times in a row over and over every single segment I saw the exact same add over SIXTEEN TIMES before I gave up and walked away The development of this app could not be more incompetent March 2015 UPDATE my two star review just went to a one I would give ZERO STARS if I could because after logging in it says I am ready to watch and then when I try to watch something it tells me to contact my cable provider How about I delete your stupid crappy app instead My bill is paid up FIX THESE PROBLEMS           2 steps forward 1 back

Like their quality of journalism very poor Terrible to navigate cluttered and feels like its been put together by a bunch of amateurs so a perfect match then for the way they report news     Almost as bad as their website

Ive been using the CNN app for a few weeks I am very happy with it I abandoned another popular app because CNN is more complete and frequently has live reporters on site and posts video feeds as well                 Great app

CNN is my main source for a news app and usually I find CNN very satisfactory in expedience and accuracy of delivering the diversity of all types of news information Improvements can always be made with the app but overall the CNN app delivers Thanks goodness Rupert and his Sons dont own this news outlet              This is not Faux News

When returning to written stories after reading one the app returns you to the spot you left When viewing video clips the app sends you back to the beginning so you have to scroll through the entire list to get to the next clip So frustrating        Frustrating
