This app never works Do they even read all these horrible reviews I went back to old app and used itstill works fine Crap
The preview EOS app wasnt the best but at least after a couple tries I could always get it working Ive tried this new one over and over again and cant get it Im using a 6D and trying on an iPad Mini and also on an iPhone 6 Plus Doesnt work
Poor GUI Failure to connect App very rarely updated Older apps remain live on App Store and yet they serve only to remind users to download and use this app No help menu Very very few optionssettings Next camera for me may not be a Canon Fails to Connect
This app is super fast and responsive I like it Compared to EOS Remote it is at least twice as fast and responsive And allows more distance from the camera while still maintaining a solid connection This app blows EOS Remote out of the water Works great
I just wasted too much time realizing this app DOES NOT EVEN WORK I have a 70D and this app is complete crap The other one was awful but at least it worked I am soooooo ANGRYYYYYY Can i give this negative reviews
People dont read the instructions to set up the camera wifi and blame it on the app The process is really easy once you know what to do The app is great
I was hoping for an improved app for use with my 6d this is not it It would not connect Deleted EOS app on my iPhone 6plus and regretted it still had the old app on my iPad and that is what I am using now Camera Connect is a joke the EOS app has issues and needs upgrading but at least it connects and works Does not work
Seriously the old one was better by far and even looked better on my phone as an app Who dropped the ball on this one UPDATE PLEASE
The old EOS remote app worked perfectly this one is asking me for a password I never had a password before Please reply on this review forum to let us know what we need to do to make this work The reason I chose this camera the 70 D was because of the WiFi feature Please Canon Help us
The canon camera connect app was working smoothly in my iPad Air 2 until I updated the app and the OS to 901 Now it will not connect to my camera and I have tried everything Without this app the camera goes down in value also Useless
I got the app set up on an iPhone and it works fine if you used EOS Remote previously clear your wifi settings on the camera and start over in this app Your old settingsencryption key wont work I have discovered you cannot use the app on both an iPhone and iPad simultaneously with the same connection data I have made the app work on both devices but have to set it up on whichever device I choose to use Am I missing something or is this the way the app works Needs a little work
It cant seem to figure out that a camera is connected I can switch to the old app and it works so this new app is definitely the issue Should be called Canon Camera Wont Connect
I watched a tutorial video on YouTube as the instructions were kind of cloudy and it helped so much This app is flawless LOVE IT
The instructions are convoluted both in the app and in the cameras manual The cameras menus are awkward Parts may take a techie to finagle but it can be done Thimk It surely would be nice to be able to delete photos from the camera once imported for example and by selection of course But the question of unseen camera card remnants might be troublesome We look forward to trying multiple devices say a different phone from the first one used and a different tablet from the first one used More on that in a revised review later Works Good change from cardreader dongle days
This ap is a sad attempt at replacing the older mediocre ap way to screw up Cannon The wifi connectivity was the whole reason I picked my camera and now my camera is a simple paper weight Flat Broke
I was enthusiastic when i saw the app Disappointed when it couldnt connect to my EOS 70D Will try from time to time as Canon makes corrections to the software to at least make it functional Staying with the old app

This app is complete and utter garbage At least the last app worked This app doesnt even maintain a connection I connect to the wiif on my camera and then switch to the app and it promptly drops the connection I dont understand the point in this app when the last one worked The wiif connection has never been great but it worked You people need to fix this crap Why bother making a wiif camera if you cant be bothered to make an app that works Why cant you establish a wireless connection within the app instead of having to go back and forth Why cant you set the password in the camera so that more than one device my phone and iPad can connect Garbage

I purchased the 70D specifically for this function and now the one time I really need it I cant even use it The old app wont work anymore and this one wont find my camera wifi A complete waste of time Very disappointed Doesnt work
For the cannon 70D users Set your camera in infrastructure mode Connect the cameras wifi settings to the wifi you use at home And thats it The App is only getting one star because though I got it to work its very slow and lags 98 of the time and always freezes and have to close the app and restart it many times Very slow Attention all cannon 70D users
Canon 6D recent iPad Retina Dont exit the camera menu when the encryption key is displayed or youll lose the key and have to back up and start again with a new key Once you have a key in your iOS device you have the option of saving the setup in the cameras memory with SET1 as the default Save it and the next time you connect it will be practically automatic just select SET1 and wait a moment for the network to appear in the iOS wireless networks list No need to enter a new encryption key This software is inelegant and perhaps a bit crude but it works WiFi is also a camera battery eater The App DOES Work
I would rate this 0 stars if I could App works sometimes and sometimes doesnt Camera doesnt always connect Ive had to delete the app and reinstall to get it to work Or delete my device on the camera and reinstall I have a canon printer that also has wifi connection problems What the heck Canon You advertise wifi products but they are all complete garbage I bought my canon camera because I wanted to easily transfer photos to my phone through Wifi Guess I should have read the app reviews first Complete Garbage

Does not seem to work with the iPhone 6S running iOS 901 On opening the app there are no options to actually connect with the camera despite the fact that its on the same WiFi network The app worked just fine prior to iPhone 6S and iOS 901 Nothing happens

The app is only in japanese I cant change the language Ive already downloaded other times to see if comes in english but not I didnt find the option to change the idiom too I tried other apps of Canon in the AppStore but all of them came in japanese too Someone know what can I do to put in english Language Japanese
Canon needs to hire the right developers to make this app all that it can be How is it that other apps pull geotag info in automatically but with this app logging geotag info MUST be selected For examples look at apps like Fitbit RunKeeper etc Please get some people that understand Apples development tools and resources to build a better app Did the job needs work

I had trouble getting this app to work until I wiped my wifi settings incamera After going through the whole setup process a few times because the app STILL wouldnt recognize my camera the app finally started working I am able to get the app to see my camera and take pictures but its not without constant drops in communication I am lucky if I can get one picture fired before the app drops communication with my camera It does not matter if I am 6 inches from my camera or across the room Im so disappointed with this app I would rate it zero stars if I could Works but barely

The functionality of this app is severely limited by the absence of an Import All button This should be an easy tweak from Canon Needs Import All Function
Per Canon customer support there is still no plan to update this app despite the fact that it no longer works for a large number of customers who upgraded to iOS 84 As a loyal Canon customer for many years I am very disappointed I think my next camera will not be a Canon App doesnt work after iOS upgrade

This app appears to be the exact same as the previous EOS Remote app only with an iOS 789 style UI There appears to be no clear reason why this couldnt just be an update to the previous Nor do I understand why I can no longer control what size of image is downloaded from the camera to my device I now regret deleting the previous app even with its similarly pointless UI at least it would do what I wanted it to Sloppy UI and no control over download size

The good No connection problem with my EOS Rebel T6s You can use it as a remote The very bad No GPS function when connected with iPhone 6 in fact no EOS camera is compatible with that function What gives You buy a cheap point n shoot it has full functionality but plunk down 850 or more and its crippled Sounds like a Canon ploy to get you to buy a 400 Canon GPS Disappointing lack of GPS function

With the last app I was able to use everything and connect without a problem This app does not even recognize my camera even though they are both connected to my cameras network 6D does not work
