C64 Paint XL

I need a pixel editor and a program that can convert photos into a pixelated image This does both very well There are a few features I would like to see added 1 Ability to change colors in palette The palette will change if I load an image to optimize to the loaded image This is good But when creating a new image I cannot figure out how to change the colors in my palette 2 Ability to select the number of colors in the palette I know the point is to simulate the c64 but this is a good pixel editing program I would like to be able to use it for cases where I want to create pixel art and have more or sometimes less colors available 3 Ability to export images with the grid turned on This would let me show people patterns that they can use to transfer the image to other media besides computer screens Right now I sort of simulate this by doing a screen shot in edit mode and emailing the screenshot to myself 4 Ability to use AirPrint When I create a pattern to transfer pixel art to other media I want to print it out with the grid turned on 5 When opening an image it does a good job of selecting a resolution and aspect ratio but if I want to bump it up to 200 pixels then I lose the aspect ratio I got it back by adjusting the aspect ratio on the right but what i wanted was to hit a reset button to go back to the original selections the program made              Mostly works for my needs

This is a fantastic app although you should definitely add an eraser because you would then be able to create minecraft skins and such              Lots of fun

Its just awesome A fill bucket and a full color wheel would be nice though Oh and also the ability to control the way a photo looks when its imported Other than that its perfect                 I love this app

I wish i had the pixel art skills that could really put this app to good use but even with my limited artistic capabilities this app is great very well designed and a blast to play with                 So much fun

This app provides an easy way to quickly produce good looking graphics The colors are a bit limited but I found that this just made me explore new graphical styles I was skeptical at first but now that I have created a few images I am really impressed with the tool and also very impressed with myself I would suggest this app for someone who wants to have fun and also wants to learn a bit about basic pixel art Very entertaining 5 stars because it doesnt try to be a professional graphics design tool it only aims to please which I wholeheartedly believe it has done                 Amazing

I love this little app I have several painting apps on my phone I like the retro look of the computer era Sometimes your creativity is only enhanced by your limitations This app is simply pixel art Retro yourself and your ideas              Sweet

This could be a great App But it needs more features as pointed out already by many others It feels very stingy in ways A few simple additions would mean so much But we get nothing Too bad        Great update NOT

Great app I truly love it Its simple and intuitive Some complaints though The grid gets off ie some pixels dont fit into grid squares and thats really annoying There should definitely be a line tool that would be nice My biggest complaint though NOT ENOUGH COLORS There needs to be more colors Please improve these areas              Its alright

This is a great app It works very well and I love making 8bit video game characters with it My only complaint would be that I wish that they had more colors Overall this is a great app that I would definitly recommend                 Very Good App

I would really like it if it can have the ability to change the colors like everyone else is requesting Other than that this is an awesome app              Great app But

im saying the same thing everyone does we need more colors and also some tracing tools like pen circles squares would really make it more professional layer support export options i like to work a little bit on the ipad and then take it to the pc but options are somewhat limited with all these on future updates Im sticking to this app and recommend it on major forums online           very limited but i think with some updates will do

I love this app I understand it uses the first colors but more colors should be an option Different reds would be nice                 Very worth it

If you love this kind of art youll love this package Im old enough to have owned a Commodore 64 back in the day and ill say this is MUCH more fun and friendly With this app you can create great old school pixel art That said I do have some ideas for improvements Like the others I would really like to be able to at least modify the palette Its cool that it sticks to the c64 palette but it would be much more versatile if that could happen A line tool would be really handy when trying to construct hard edge objectslike little commodore 64s I would really love to be able to drop an image in the background to use as a guide An old school text tool would be REALLY cool To get that full on Commodore feel Once again great program              Very cooltons of fun

1 Add something that would allow one to create tiles then put them into the drawing 2 make a version that has the Nintendo Entertainment System NESs palette call it NES Paint maybe Other than that great app              Suggestions

This is a great app for pixel geeks and sketchers like me Yes more colors please the lack of a good red is depressing I wouldnt mind having the ability to switch out colors as well Easy and fun                 What I was looking for but

I had been looking for a pixel art app for a long time and C64 Paint XL answered my prayers It could some features like copy and paste but this is a great start If you are wondering why there isnt a huge selection of colors it is because of the Commodore 64s color pallette Overall a great app and the only one of its kind in the App Store                 Great Pixel Art App

Ayo I bought dis app when my homie funkmastuh was all up in mah grill like ay mayne dis app is off da chain so I paid da 5 bones for dis app and thought Daaayum this is pretty dope son Although upon further inquiry I pondered that the developers of said app would do all their associates a great service by expanding the color palette because the user interface and chart system is quaint which I fancy very much so              C64 paint is da best pixel drawin app

This takes me back to the old Atari 2600 and Nintendo days Its so easy that I even made my own little Mario with a mushroom lol                 Awsome

This app is amazing but the limited colors REALLY hold it back Keep the 16 color mode as an option But there is no reason not to allow more Add layer support and more colors for my 5s           Great but too restricted
