Totally worthless app cannot detect wifi does not log in even though I am logged into the app says to turn on location services to locate nearby wifi even though I have location services activated and turned on for the app total waste Boing in general is not worth the money Even when you can find a boingo wifi always struggle connecting totally worthless     Worthless App

I like the cleaner interface Easier to use and seems like a lot more hotspots to access                 Nice improvement

Useless it wont recognize a Boinge WiFi access point and if you happen to be in one the app does not help you no seamlessly connect thankfully I am not paying for this service otherwise I would have cancelled it already     It simply does not work

Its almost like nobody alpha tested this for workability or user interface The map interface is crowded with lots of useless info that takes forever to toggle off The location feature wants to run all the time no option to run only when the app is being used It only works about one in five times that I use it the other times just doesnt allow me to log onto wifi networks which have the use boingo here notation Force quitting toggling wifi onoff etc does not help Crap     Terrible app

This app may once have been a useful tool for road warriors but in 2015 its an embarrassing disaster On my 3rd iPhone and 8th iOS device overall this is the first time Ive been motivated enough to write a onestar app review As others have amply documented the app is erratic or ineffective at locating and logging in to WiFi connections despite having an active paid Boingo subscription Secure me The VPN profile wont install and when the button asking to reinstall it is tapped it does nothing whatsoever Selfcare to troubleshoot The mobile web page requires me to log in after which no selfcare page or link appears at all Reloading does nothing Nothing that is except submit my UNENCRYPTED PASSWORD IN THE URL to a web page that accomplishes nothing This is a cardinal sin of online security offering a service that both doesnt work as advertised AND makes the customer less safe in the process Forget about refunding my subscription fee These charlatans deserve to be investigated by the FTC and state AGs for false and misleading advertising     Neglected product worse than useless

Like the new interface but I miss how the app tells you how much data you have used over cellular Specifically from the start to end of your billing cycle           Three stars

Several years ago Boingo was a great app I travel international for a living and could easily log onto the Internet using this service where some of my colleagues were stranded offline Then it seemed hotels started to prefer inhouse corporate accounts and wifi networks and Boingo was ore difficult to lock in Now I have been unable to join ANY network for more than 6 mos even though my plan is up to date and the network provider clearly show that Boingo is available So far its cost me upward of 60 I will be canceling the service     I want my money back

Got the app to use at London Heathrow and when I tried to use it it not only wouldnt connect but it had to use my roaming data to try to make it work 60 later I saw that when I got my bill i still wasnt able to get it to work no wifi and still wasnt able to contact my friends after 2 missed planes After a bunch of useless emails with Boingo customer support they basically told that I couldnt expect anything from them not even a month of free usage Useless app stubborn people and never again If you plan on using it make sure it works BEFORE needing it     Didnt work and ate my money

I used it once in NY airport they made me sign up for a monthly plan which kept billing me even though I did not use the service and tried to cancel the subscription I had to take multiple efforts calls mails checking their website to unsubscribe and stop wasting money Money suckers Do not use it     Sucked my money for a few months

I bought this for a monthlong trip to Europe It did not work in the airports at Madrid Tel Aviv JFK or any hotels Tech support was unable to help The root problems is probably that when you buy through the App Store you are not given a userid and password It is supposed to be assigned automatically by the application That doesnt seem to work Waste of money     Does not work with iOS AVOID

Just downloaded this app as an offer of American Express May be a well intentioned benefit but the app doesnt work It wont even find my location although all my settings are correct It keeps telling me to turn on my location on Settings They are on but the app still doesnt work Not an auspicious start     Cant Connect

Downloaded this app to make use of the Amex offer Turns out this app simply doesnt work The map will show a bunch of wifi locations sure but thats a useless functionality When I see a boingo hotspot and try to connect to it in my wifi settings Nothing Unable to connect to network This app does nothing     Doesnt work

Im getting the service free through my Amex Plat card and its not even worth free Theres hotspots nearly covering Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles and I cant hold a connection Its worthless and a joke Sitting still Why bother Thankfully Im still on the ATT unlimited data Im counting the days for how long that continues to last I havent tried it at the airport but most airports now have free WiFi anyway     Useless

Im sitting in a hotel by the airport App shows my location List Nothing Login on the website and I see a lot of access pointsmostly just free stuff you could get without paying Boingo But anyway none of that shows in the app None     Does not work at all

To All I tried to use this thing at JFK airport and it worked for the first 30 minutes for free and I already had an account for this but it doesnt work either I tried to buy directly using my iTunes account for 10 but still couldnt get connected and I tried to use my other email address for this and paid the 5 for the first month subscription I paid 15 in total and I just had to turn off my subscription so that I didnt forget that I subscribe to this stupid wifi thing where it actually worked years ago THANKS FOR EATING MY MONEY Like seriously FU     Zero stars if Possible

I was pretty disappointed with this app I originally downloaded and subscribed in August while I had a long layover in Brazil The app would find the wireless signals however it would not allow me to sign in and connect Because I was unable to connect I was not able to get any support to get this app working I would say save your money on this one and if you really need connectivity buy a sim at your destination     Boingo Wireless

Subscribed because of traveling in Europe for an extended time App always had problems connecting with my account Wouldnt work maybe 60 of the time When it did find my account Boingo was slow to connect with whatever network was out there Finally when connected I was always getting dropped and had to perpetually log in again and again        Boingo

First off I have a Boingo account This review isnt about the service or its cost Its the app And the app isnt very good Its nearly useless It fails frequently to identify access points via cellular network when you arent connected via Boingo But even worse it frequently fails to connect when you ask it to and are in range of an AP It is almost always easier just to find the access point via WiFi settings on the iPhone and type in the username and password on your own Which is a shame Id love to skip these steps and actually use this app Btw the most wonderfully perfect way I came to write this review was provided by the app itself After proudly proclaiming that it had connected me to a network after many unsuccessful attempts it asked me if I wanted to review the app When I clicked Yes it took me to the App Store where I was promptly informed that I wasnt connected to the Internet Perfect Just perfect Boingo app Im writing this with a cellular connection One Star for trying     Nearly Useless

This app is spotty at best Buttons work sometimes but not others and the app sometimes does not load This is not acceptable in 2015     It just does not work

Have tried this service in multiple major airports and it will never connect or if it does you stay connected for no longer than 5 minutes Very very slow too IF you can connect Pointless to use Boingo if you can get 4G signal instead Not sure howwhy this company remains in business aside from selling something that delivers nothing     Ripoff junk

Honestly dont buy this It simply wont work on iPad or iPhone Maybe its made for a different platform but then they should pay attention and evolve this one I tried to contact the support and not only they were ironic with me but they NEVER answered how to solve the problem Im trying to get my money back but now theyre not even accepting emails anymore Ive never been through this with any other app     Doesnt work with iOs

This is the worst WiFi service I have had to endure even the worst internet service since dialup My commute dictates that this is the only service I can access on the Washington State Ferry system and I do not know the crux of the issue Ie if the ferrys hardware system is too old but Boingo should require minimum specs etc I end up spending half of my tortured commute constantly reconnecting What a waste     The Burr Under My Saddle
