It weighs in at only 10MB to download. The new BeeTagg Reader Pro app version 3.8 has been updated on 2014-11-20. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. I was so frustrated trying to read QR Codes for a long time This one reads not only QR Codes but also the newer and more powerful 2D code technologies like BeeTagg that is readable in all kinds of materials and Datamatrix I deleted the other readers because this one works for all of them Thanks                     Finally one that WORKS phdm

Scanning was fast and simple but the resolution on a calendar event QR code always had today as the event date Other readers found the correct event date             Uses the wrong date on QR event scanning na6745

Probably the best reader I ve used so far It s quick has a clean interface and when you scan something itches more than just throw the data at you If you scan a business card you get the option to call the number see a map add to contacts etc Really slick                     Why the low rating Andrew0002

The QR reader functionality seems reasonably good though doesn t handle longer codes very well It handles vCard formatting though puts the first and last name in the First Name field instead of splitting it The interface is awkward and not very well designed             Awkward but Usable Basseq

Pretty much everything that was an issue in the previous version is now fixed It s possible to store contact info and calendar events now and it s possible to copy paste or even e mail the content of a text code For URL bar codes you can choose to open URLs internally or in Safari and unlike some other QR apps you re not whisked away to a web site without being prompted And like previous versions it s fast it can detect codes from a good distance and it can scan images saved in the image library The only thing I m taking a star off for is that it s still not possible to disable the beep vibration on scanning but given the actual quality of the scanner itself it s not a huge issue I m also not entirely pleased by the fact that it passes URLs through a tracking server but I understand why BeeTagg does this and other code readers do it as well                 Huge improvement over previous version codeman38

I used this on an iPhone 4 and it worked well Scans and decodes on line or off line It immediately tries to open the coded Web page as soon as it decodes it even if not connected to the Internet From that screen you can save the decoded scan for later use to this app s Favorites list Changes I d like to see Preview the decoded Web page URL before opening it Add built in Copy and Paste but this app already allows opening the link in Safari where you can then do copy and paste but it s extra steps Bottom line this is a good 2d CODE reader and you can t beat the free price                 Good 2D CODE reader joepod

Love this scan ap for iPhone had no trouble installing it and getting it to work at a busy autoshow where I found it far easier to load the scan ap on the Iphone and scan product information rather than schlepping heavy brochures around all day Thanks BeeTagg                     Bee Tagg is great christinealtparry

Not a bad app Not sure why others downrated it Let s you active scan just start close to the image and move back Works every time Couple things though doesn t seem to read long DataMatrix codes very well Also it would be great if it would link to the phone when the code is a phone number and also make text codes selectable for copy paste                 Not bad Airborne427

I m lost as to why so many people are rating this app as a one star I gave it a three as it does the job and is an improvement over the BeeTagg Reader standard version The auto scanning is great but I noticed that I had to keep super still it takes longer than Quickmark and if you have an image embedded in a QR code it will not recognize it I hope actual feedback helps the developers instead of one star ratings             Neutral opinion tavella
