Many of us have been eagerly awaiting this awesome app to be updated for iOS11 but to no avail I found two others that I just discovered and am testing One is MCXi BASIC and the other is BASIC Let s Code Neither shows up if you enter BASIC in the App Store search field but they show up if I type FORTRAN in the search field Don t ask me why I don t know either One caveat is that it s not free One is a buck the other is two bucks I m perfectly willing to support the developers and the price is more than reasonable             iOS11 Alternatives Bluew2040

For users to use this app it has to be compiled as a 64 bit             I wished it worked on iOS 11 toaddba

Out of the hundreds of iOS apps I ve ever purchased this is one of only three 32 bit apps that I still use regularly er that I DID use regularly before my phone was updated to iOS 11 Please make an updated version I d even be happy to pay a few bucks for a new Basic                     App is fun and useful needs 64 bit update MacTroy

This app is really great I use it to assist in programming building automation controls However it appears to need an update and continuously crashes please update the app             No longer functioning Mr high waters

Okay to start with yes the internal text editor leaves much to be desired with how it jumbles the lines rather than keeping things straight Despite that imperfection Basic truly is a throwback to my childhood when I used to program Basic on a PreComputer 1000 However instead of short text based RPGs I use Basic for creating stochastic music Protip it s best to use a text editor with Dropbox exporting to program your stuff and then copy paste into the Basic app to run it The Basic app itself has limited slots for programs internally and can t upload to Dropbox These features would be nice internally but squashing bugs and improving stability are more important                     Perfect for what I do Jwmmakerofmusic

So I ve been using this app for awhile on my original iPad1 I ve recently downloaded onto my iPad2 but am having trouble running my saved programs in that the enter return button doesn t do anything half the time If I keep typing in the input and hitting enter maybe it eventually works or if I hit the minimize keyboard button sometimes that works I even tried using my Bluetooth keyboard and that didn t solve the problem It s also not just on my old saved programs also on new ones that I ve tried to mess with just to see if it was because they were old programs from my iPad1 If this sounds familiar to anyone or the Devs can help I d appreciate it because all in all it was my favorite BASIC program         Having Issues on iPad2 Supersurvivor79

I like it a lot but i would suggest adding the DO command and adding to an IF and adding a place were you could see all the commands on the app and I also wouldn t mind making longer lines of code                 Love but some suggestions 123456789009876543213746285941

I am 70 years old and love this program of yours I think programming is helping me to keep my mind sharp thanks to you Really glad to see such a nice program as this for the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPad Thanks for the recent update totally solved the missing Help and Run buttons Future update Auto Save would be nice I have been using this program since mid 2014 and it is absolutely the BEST program ever for writing programs using the Basic Code You are a fantastic programmer for what you have accomplished with this application The only problem I have is when I go to EDIT the code sometimes the screen will go blank If I rotate my iPad the code will show up on the screen but when I click on it it s gone again I have to Reboot the iPad then I can use your program again The worst part is the fact that all of the code I wrote since my last save is gone I also have another program called BASIC it is pretty nice with it s color code and and the original line numbers quite retro I never have had any problems with EDIT But I don t like it because it has limited syntax and just does not work like your program does so I don t use it Even if you are not able to update this program anymore maybe someone can do this for you There are those who really love this program besides me please help us if you can Thanks again for being such a Fantastic Programmer Web                     Great on iPhone 6 Plus and iPad update lehivalley

I just want to begin with I haven t delved into the capabilities of this app yet However it is an amazing tool to teach my 9 yr old granddaughter about programming She s amazed that she can make the computer do stuff And what comes with learning programming is learning how to think in steps break big things down into little things and how to debug because you never get things right the first time around                     Excellent starter ScottLuther

I had some medical calculations I wanted to test out quickly and BASIC is by far the easiest way to do it This app proved excellent and completely trouble free The only problem I found was that when the code contained long lines and the phone held in vertical position the screen went completely blank until I rotated it into the landscape position Also when trying to copy a block of text or to cut and paste to a different locations scrolling occurred so fast it was impossible to control However these are minor bugs that will probably get sorted out in future versions and I still think this deserves 5 stars It should be noted that this is a more advanced form of basic than the original Dartmouth version of the 1970 s that required line numbers This version does not require line numbers and it is more structured I like it a lot Congratulations to the developers and Thanks                     Love BASIC great app evan-e-cent

By invoking Apple I had expected it to be an identical representation of AppleBASIC from my HS years expanded to represent higher resolution BT and touch technologies Not so The language and syntax are sufficiently different that I cannot get more than the most rudimentary programs to work think dumb loops I never had access to GW BASIC functions like WHILE WEND and ENDIF in the BASIC I used stood in for PRINT but not here Very disappointing         NOT what I had hoped Certified Vampire

This is is good but I noticed some PAINFUL bugs such as the peace automatic scrolling to the top every time the app re lines the page And now Bluetooth not even the sample of the Bluetooth works it won t even run the second line of code which means even after connecting to a device the code is stuck at open wi fi as 1 So I can t make my multiplayer game those 2 bugs ruin my entire love for this app Another small annoyance is the fact the app gives an error but doesn t say which line it s on which bothers the crud out of me please please fix these problems             Mobile coding Brandonk23

I got this application back when it hadn t been updated yet with the hopes that it would be interest possibly stimulus Now that it works again I find it to be a most enjoyable way to spend my time Additionally it s nice how there aren t obnoxious fees for compilations or anything like that                     Fun way to use time User Entity
