Ballistic: Field Tactical Edition

I started shooting last year at a range in West Virginia that has thousand yard targets with feedback via WiFi With the help of this application I have gotten about 80 of my rounds downrange on target Of course the biggest challenge at Long range is wind The sept turns my iPhone into an extension of my rifle If you shoot the Rangers over 300 yards this will be the best investment you can make bar none in improving your accuracy                 This is an amazing shooters application

Definitely worth the money First time using it ranged random target at 440 yards and adjusted scope Put two shots next to eachother with a crosswind                 Ballistic AE

my long range shooting advanced leaps and bounds when I started using this program I have 20 different loads listed its fast and easy to switch between loads and Ive been able to push my effective range out to 1000 yards with some of them because of it I have another program that works but with out the spinning wheels which I really like just doesnt get used I would have given it 5 stars if they would have left the display giving moa or whatever you choose and inches or at the very least in output options allowed you to choose inches in windage units PLEASE bring that back              good but it was great

Great App Very accurate if your load data and scope turrets are true you wont be disappointed I used this in Heads up display to make several long shots on whitetail and back the truck up boys DRT Just take your time to learn the program and get your load calibrated perfect                 Ballistic

Ive been using this app since its early days Easy to use and as long as you have a general idea of what velocity you are running it will get you on paper on the first shot                 Very useful

This is a great ballistic app It adjusts for environmentals pretty good if your within cel phone service You can always manually input the data from a Kestrel or other weather meter for a more accurate firing solution I really like the way it uses the iPhone for the LOS angle                 Great Ballistic App

Best ballistic calc Ive seen to date Tried this in a couple locations off of one zero at 200 yds with a brand new factory load It chronod lower than the box which dont but one quick adjustment to velocity and it was dead on Took a while to get used to the GUI but Im a believer Get this one Its well worth the money                 Great Calc

What do you get when you cross a computer nerd with a shooter You get an app so Byzantine in its complexity as to be virtually uselessan adjective that perfectly describes this app The developers should caution the potential purchaser that in order to make use of the app they MUST have access to a chronograph otherwise they are simply wasting their time     Useless

This is the best app and tool to have whether military or competitive shooter when I am working on new loads and prepping for competition or training for long range solutions for scope set up and load data I have been able to dial in solutions from 22LR shoots to 308 long range in F class I Create dope cards using this app and have used it to adjust from 300 yard target using the app data use the input data provided to adjust my scope to the data and hit 1000 yard target on the first shot Following the directions is easy and as long as user inputs correct data following the step by step parameters this app will provide spot on solutions I recommend to any serious shooter competitive or military                 Great ballistics tool

Fantastic app have used it for years for long distance ground hog hunting I have connected on shots out to 1200yds Data is extremely accurate I cant say that I have ever missed a shot due to elevation errors If I do miss its usually because of misreading wind or the mechanics of shooting HUD is fast and easy allowing me to get on target quickly before the hog goes away Was a sniper in the Corp back in the day wished I had it then                 Great app

This app is well worth the money I wasnt sure at first but once I learned how to use all the features I realized it was money well spent Calculations are spot on and charts are easily accessed and printed                 Great quality app

This is a great ballistics calculator and works extremely well However it takes a bit of practice to learn to use all of the capabilities of the tool properly I especially like the complete database of commercial ammunition loads although there are some New manufacturers and makers of remanufactured ammo that probably could be added to some benefitid also like to see some more advanced reticles added to the heads up display so that modern optics could be printed out with dope calculated and printed based on the reticle like the iStrelok app does But I prefer the ballistics computations in this app to the iStrelok app It might even make sense for the makers of this app to form a partnership where they share data between the two apps That would save having to rewrite software to do the same thing twice              Great app but takes a little practice

Since the latest update I have been unable to use the app for inputting target data When I try and load atmospheric conditions or input rifle data the app just crashes I sent an email to support more than 2 days ago with no response Please let me revert to the previous version or tell me what to do do fix the current version     Latest update crashes on my phone Great when it works

This app crashes when saving inputs in Rangefinder module three attempts for tech support with no response save your money and sanity and look at MilDot for an excellent program     NO REPLY TECH SUPPORT

I dont usually write reviews and I am fairly new to precision shooting But this program allowed me to go out and make accurate shots at 500 yards with hand loads And by accurate I mean within a 6x6 inch plate second shot after adjusting for wind This app has a lot of features which might be a little overwhelming for the first time user But as soon as I got everything calibrated for my rifle the ballistic charts are fantastic for my 308 Great app and in my opinion worth every dollar The app is regularly updated and as Im writing this review a new version is currently in beta Very excited to see what results I get at further ranges                 Great Ballistics Program

I tried all of the smartphone based ballistic apps this is by far the easiest and more feature rich After plugging in my rifle ammo and muzzle velocity I have yet find a table off Another cool feature I use often is the target feature take a pic of the target place a mark over each bullet hole then the app does all the analysis Another huge benefit is their tech support is very responsive on one occasion I had multiple response over the weekend Love Ballistic AE                 No other app compares

Simply a must have for all shooters You will save lots of time sighting in at different distances where you could have been doing what you went to the range for putting rounds on target                 Top Notch

Very useful and for Ballistic firing solutions just like the name implies However Ballistic is also great for discovering how small changes in atmospherics velocity etc alter trajectories and has a nice trajectory comparison capability The capability to capture target data with the camera place and mark shots then automatically calculate statistics like group size and offset elevation and windage is great too The online videos on how to use various features are great and hopefully there will be even more videos in the future                 Ballistic Great App

this is a great app dont get me wrong i use it all the time now that i have a new scope though i have an issue with the app does not have 1 mil click adjustments           only have one issue

This apps is not accurate the listed calculated trajectory results mismatch with the rangefinder trajectory result within the program application using the same cartridge parameter Please check within this Apps results of the Trajectory and Rangefinder are not exactly matching each other mismatch Please fix ASAP Sergeant Sniper USMC           Trajectory mismatch

I have several different rifles all with custom loads This app works great keeping track of each and is very accurate using JBM Once you get the hang of the wind subs it really is easy to use I also like the new deer targets in the ranging sub I have other apps as well but Ballistic AE is my goto app                 My GoTo APP

I have had this for a while Stopped using it because of life Getting back to shooting and notice many of the load I like to use are no longer there Complete manufacturers are gone not sure why Since I like those loads more than the app I guess I will have to find elsewhere to go CCI and PMC are just a couple I noticed missing You may want to check website first to see if app supports the load you like because imputing manually is cumbersome        Lacks loads that use to be there

Ive been using this program for 3 years and am amazed how good it works and how good a value it is Ive shot at sea level to over 7000 feet and from 0 to 1200 yards using this program for ballistic data Every shooter should have this program on their phone                 Easy to use ballistic software

Ive used this App since it came out It has put me on target cold bore out to 1350 yards Its the full package                 As accurate as my Kestrel AB

For the price it seems hard to beat 500 for a Kestrel w Applied BallisticsHorus or 20 for the app the phone cost is a wash if you already planned on buying it plus 100 for a Craigslist Kestrel 4000 Its not as integrated as the AB Kestrel but you could argue the user interface is much better and is much cheaper if you dont mind using two devices you already have your iPhone with you anyway dont you                 Great app

I have used many different ballistic apps this app is by far the most user friendly The fact that you can load your different rifles and compare energy is huge I have found the calculator to be very accurate It helped me harvest a deer at 853 yds with a 30 degree down hill angle Great app If I had a problem with the app I emailed the developer and had a response within minutes                 The best

But a good bullet meter This is more like a toy Something to tinker with but not rely on     No replacement for the real deal
